OT: One Condiment, Forever
Everything I eat is a vehicle for condiments. Thus, I was presented a real conundrum last night at dinner: if I had to live the rest of my life and only had one condiment to use, which would I choose?
Please be as specific as possible instead of categorical (i.e. saying Frank's instead of hot sauce). "Condiments" by nature is is pretty broad, but for the fun of it we can include dressings, dips, things that can be squeezed, ladeled, spooned, etc.
OK soda water is weird. Never heard that one before.
Funny story. I always thought my dad grew up near their plant in Buffalo. Turns out that Weber's is in Buffalo, not Woeber's. I just looked that up because of your post. I guess you really can learn something new every day.

I was well into my thirties before I discovered aji verde. But that's my clear #1.
Is that the green sauce that comes out with the bread at a Peruvian restaurant?
I had no idea it was called Aji Verde. The Peruvian restaurant i frequent calls it the "gringo killer"
You might be thinking of chimichurri, which is the green stuff they bring out at the beginning at Argentinian restaurants. So maybe the same stuff?
Honey turkey, brown sugar ham, bacon, mayo, and 2 slices of Swiss cheese on honey wheat bread.
My condiment...Honey BBQ Sauce...no specific brand.
Maybe Frank's Buffalo Sauce if I have to be exact.
Ranch.
I like mayo/mustard on a sandwich though, hot sauce on eggs is legit too. Just don't put ketchup on a steak.
Spicy Brown Mustard on everything.

that has not been discussed -
for anyone who has been to Costa Rica (or amazon.com) - Lizano Salsa
Edit - i'm also an idiot and missed the post right above me for the same thing...
Salt, followed closely by fresh ground black pepper.

Not the way I use it.
It, along with pepper, is considered a seasoning, so you must like well-seasoned food, which is an excellent quality in a person. Kudos to your palate.
Horseradish mustard, with plain yellow mustard as a close second.
Heinz ketchup, probably the most iconic of condiments. I think ranch dressing is more delicious, and Cholula is more exciting, but I use Heinz more than anything.
Can't believe it took until comment 125 to get to Heinz!
Wasn't it Malcolm Gladwell who discovered/identified Heinz as having umami-ness or being the most perfectly umami ketchup?

Has anybody tried this, and how is it? I can't find this in stores around me. It seems like a winner. Jalapenos may not be the hottest pepper, but they havfe great flavor (and can be hot enough), and I've never been disappointed with jalapeno anything.
We have a recipe for awesome burgers. The recipe includes ketchup with adobo (sauce and chopped up pepper) and balsamic vinegar added to it. It is to die for a makes the burger quite awesome...along with the grilled onions, cheddar cheese and english muffin used as a bun. I just pulled the recipe out last weekend, because it was time to switchover to summer grilling season recipes.

I like mayo on a sandwich. I also participate in hunting down people who smother things in ketchup.
semen
Karam's Garlic Sauce
thinking of what I eat, if I had to choose only one condiment, it'd be mustard...
hotdog or sausage: mustard
hamburger: mustard
turkey sandwich: mustard
if I had to choose a specific mustard, this would probably be the best one I've ever had: https://www.zingermans.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=P-GER-BEE
Winking Lizard BBQ Sauce from Winking Lizard Tavern. Admittedly, it is from a small ohio-based food chain...but boy is this stuff good. Goes great with anything you can grill...and on a lot of other foods as well.
