Possible new fight song "Hail and Unite."

They are going to reach out to get Eminem involved.
I, for one, cannot wait to see what the lyrics to this will include. I don't see Eminem being much of a uniter.

He probably ended his pitch at CSG with the same "...what could go wrong?" that Bill uttered when he was sneaking Monica into the oval office or the passengers were saying as they boarded the Hindenberg. While we are at destroying the most iconic things in college football let's build a SMALLER stadium and get some helmets without those damn wings. Heck, I think its time our CSG had a national impact. Lets get Kid Rock to rewrite our National Anthem and let's resculpt the Statue of Liberty, but with Madonna holding a microphone not a torch.

I think people are misunderstanding. They aren't proposing to scrap "The Victors" and replace it with something new. They are just suggesting adding a new fight song. We already have a second fight song called "Varsity". This would just be a third one in addition to the other two.
I guess that's not nearly as egregious to me as it is to others. It'll probably sound terrible though.

No, I think people understand that, but I don't think see the point in having a third fight song when we don't even play the second one much, and the thought of having a "modernistic" one involving pop stars sounds positively cringe-worthy.

The only way I see this working out is... if it doesn't work out. How about they just create a song for the band to play, like Let's Go Blue, and not call it a fight song? Maybe in time, it'll become tradition if it's good.
