Couldn't have carried less about NE until Law and then Brady became players there. Alan Branch had a monster season for them during their last Super Bowl win. Hope Tom gets it done again this weekend. The young buck needs to wait a few more years before he gets his turn.

Still crap. Be better Warde. Absolutely terrible hire.

01/06/2019 - 6:12pm Also agree on Massa. His…

Also agree on Massa. His first 2 years, he went out there with reckless abandon and willed himself to wins over just about everyone. It was nice to watch. But since that injury, he’s regressed some. He had his surgery so I don’t think he’d say it was holding back. What is, is bottom wrestling. He has no first move and to me doesn’t go with enough urgency. Wick from Wisconsin beats him on bottom. Shields rode him for a whole period. That’s why he’s getting beat.

I’m also worried about Pantaleo for the same reason. As big, strong and quick he is, I just don’t understand it. He should be out every time. But at Midlands he got rode and dropped 2 matches, then got rode again at ASU.

Bottom wrestling is a program problem. I think they all need more work. They get it cleaned up and they’ll be that much better.

great program but needs some refinement and coaching up. And the guys have to want it. Or they’ll end up getting beat in the blood round or before and not AA.

11/26/2018 - 5:33pm Satan involved? Maybe,…

Satan involved? Maybe, especially since Meyer skated by without being fired.

Just think JH is bullheaded. Why not match the successful teams? Spread-like teams Maryland, Purdue, Indiana gave them fits because OSU was not good in space. Yet UM did what they always do. 2 TEs, fullback, try to run down the middle into a 8-9 man box. That's stubborn. And they were not as successful as they could have been on offense because of that.

While Meyer and OSU looked at tape and utilized UM's weakness. Crossing routes and speed. And we're toast.

How didn't Brown try and fix this? Indiana killed us. Certainly he knew. So coaching for sure needs to get better.

I just wonder how long he has. 3, 10 win seasons.  Maybe an 11 this year. But if you don't beat you're rival, eventually you get fired. Happens everywhere. Look at John Cooper. Had a ton of great squads but couldn't beat Michigan. Therefore got the axe. Could happen to Harbaugh in a few years, theoretically if boosters and Administration gets mad enough. Interesting times for a pretty good Michigan football team. Just wish they'd get over that hump. Damn you Satan.

11/12/2018 - 12:54pm i think they want Parris to…

i think they want Parris to bulk up some. He's too light. Give him a year to put on 10-15 lbs of muscle and he's off.  He got beat in the semis this weekend by OSU's HWT, whom was considered to start but was beaten in wrestle off. Lewan also got beat in OT in the semis by an OSU wrestler. Both got third.  Max Maylor was first at 174.

Next year they bring in a 125 that was a world champ last year and is ranked 1 or 2 in HS ranking.

Hope they can grab the stud from Davison, whom is rated #1 in the nation at 160 as a sophmore. Hes a beast.

Future is bright!

10/25/2018 - 4:14pm I mean, this is truly…

I mean, this is truly brilliant.  If Jason is on this site, I say he gets 1 Billion points, because on this site, points don't matter and Brian can do WTF he wants.

And The Hoke, sad puppy faces. Ugh. So glad we have Harbaugh.

10/22/2018 - 4:03pm OMG, The Rtuger!  That is…

OMG, The Rutger!  That is the best thing evar!!

10/22/2018 - 12:41pm Personally, if its me and I…

Personally, if its me and I have something torn in my shoulder, there's only one thing I'd do. And that is to get it fixed immediately.  If recovery is fast and you can play again, great, if not, then you have a decision to make. Maybe he goes and maybe he doesn't. But at least he'll be healed appropriately.  And we could hope he comes back for his senior year since he had most of his junior year taken away, which could happen. Academics are certainly a priority for RG. And you know he has a burning desire to win a championship here. And beat the rivals. Bet it hurt watching the guys do what it did on Saturday. Either decision is the right one for RG, because it's his. Heal up stud!

10/20/2018 - 8:35pm Here’s the thing. We’re all…

Here’s the thing. We’re all Michigan fans. We all love this team. So why do people always give each other shit on this topic? I personally love every bit of information that’s given on this board. Be it 100% wrong or 100% right. Injuries are fluid. Info also fluid. One day they could be looking good and the next is a setback. And the insider doesn’t always get the latest info. So be it.

i personally never give 100% credence to anything on the blog because it’s not official from UM. If things change, so be it. I just want Michigan to win, regardless who is playing or not.

I assume this was about UMBig11 whose got a lot of shit. He just said on another thread he will not offer any other info because people are being asses. Personally I agree with that because who wants to constantly be chided for a take not occurring.

Too bad Gary didn’t play. I don’t give a shit that 11 said he thought he would. Things change. 11 thanks for all the info. It’s something I always enjoyed reading. And I hope it continues. You have one person here that over the takes, no matter what.

10/20/2018 - 8:21pm Such Venom. Maybe that was…

Such Venom. Maybe that was their movie they watched this week? I hear it’s terrible. Just like their University and football team.

10/20/2018 - 8:15pm Nah. I would think it’d take…

Nah. I would think it’d take a couple losing seasons in a row. 2-3, then yeah.

10/19/2018 - 10:17am As a Broncos fan, he had his…

As a Broncos fan, he had his struggles on the OL. Entered as a starter after someone got hurt if I remember correctly. From there he had his good days and bad. I think that's why they let him go. But it could have been cap issues. Broncos haven't done a good job there. Still in the end, he got it done and won a Super Bowl. Not sure how he's doing with the Chargers.  Hopefully extremely well, unless they play the Broncos. LOL. Great video. Best of luck Michael.

10/14/2018 - 2:38pm Jay Feely is saying he’s…

Jay Feely is saying he’s breaking his ankle instead or keeping it rigid. That’s why it’s wobbly. He also thought he was kicking it too high. But on the second FG, his hips got it through.

10/06/2018 - 9:39pm Still suck. I know one of…

Still suck. I know one of the back judges. Whenever I see him again, gonna ask him about the absurdity of the calls that happen in the B1G every game.

09/27/2018 - 11:32am Lets not.

Lets not.

Was on right after Ink Master on Paramount last night, jackass.

Literally watching Breakfast Club right now and they just said that line. Classic movie and line.

Wrestling season has started and they’re practicing, so you’re right!

09/18/2018 - 9:26pm Awesome. He was needed for…

Awesome. He was needed for depth plus he’s a stud. Wished his teammate Davenport would have picked a Michigan, but he’s heading to Nebraska.

08/29/2018 - 5:57pm Your comments are valid but…

Your comments are valid but based on history, it should happen. Yeah MSU might be a little miffed for losing home game money but remember when this happened, Michigan went to East Lansing two years in a row and Michigan lost a home game as well.

And since the B1G Ten continue to function these cross over games with strong versus strong and weak versus weak teams, home field advantage does make a difference against these tough teams.

And so does scheduling accordingly. I guarantee you that Harbaugh would never say to the media he wants it back to old ways, but privately, he wished it would. And who could blame any coach for that?

And lets not forget Notre Dame. ND wouldn't get back in the series without having the home game first and UM relented.

So the unbalance is asinine. Our three biggest rivals all home or all away. It's stupid. Let alone extremely hard to go unscathed.

08/07/2018 - 9:44am He knew in 2009. They…

He knew in 2009. They couseled the Smiths. Then again he knew in 2013 and told the university. He's admitted both.

So how many times does a person get to beat the shit out of their with before they are fired?

And as the boss, how many times does he get to look the other way and not do a damn thing about it?

That's what this is about. You have a moral obligation to fire and report such behavior, as well as as protecting OSU because this is a business they are running and there are rules and regulations that must be followed. So Urban failed in both avenues. Get a clue.

08/06/2018 - 4:52pm Completely agree with this…

Completely agree with this setiment.  This truly is above football. It's about life, and not harming another human being.

My issue is he's known since 2009. Urban and Shellie counseled the Smiths after he threw his pregnant wife into the wall.  We know the Earle Bruce story after.

But I'm also focusing on is his employer for a sec. Florida at the time. Typically businesses have some sort of written clause that protects them from lawsuit, if they fire someone for actions outside the workplace that they deem deviant or discreditable to said business (ala Moeller). So both Urban or UF could have fired him. And let's say we also give Urban a pass as he's trying to fix a broken Smith. Because everyone deserves a second chance.  But the second chance includes counseling and a firm understanding that if you touch her again, you're done.

But you know the rest of the story. 2013 comes around, Smith should have been fired immediately. So now, we have factual proof that Urban cares more about winning football games than being a decent human being..

It's a travesty. Urban is an enabler. He protects those that help his team. Players and coaches. It's documented. That's the crucks of the issue. "Treat Women With Respect" is a bulletin board item in OSU's locker room. What a joke. And this from a man that has 2 daughters. Unreal.

I personally know in my current job, if I touched my wife, I'm fired tomorrow.  I hope OSU does the right thing. Sadly, I don't think they will. They like the money and wins too much...

07/19/2018 - 10:53pm Wow. Seriously impressive.

Wow. Seriously impressive.

07/19/2018 - 1:39pm Speaking of Alpe D'Huez does…

Speaking of Alpe D'Huez does any of our cyclists also use Zwift?

Zwift created the exact Alpe D'Huez course in the game called Alpe D'Zwift, minus the finish is about 1km shorter.  It's a bitch.  They say a good time is 60 minutes for your non-professional riders.  But even then you need to push 300 watts plus to get up that sucker in that time.  I can't do that myself.  My fastest time is like 84 minutes.  And I'm spent the rest of the day.  Still cool to virtually ride is and feel the gradient. I use a smart trainer so the representation is pretty accurate.  Now to one day dream to do it in real life...

05/31/2018 - 10:44am Freddie Canteen?

Maybe ND can sign the duck?

04/16/2018 - 12:57pm RIP to the Legend

FMJ  was legendary. He also had son doozies in On Deadly Ground:

My guy in D.C. tells me that we are not dealing with a student here, we're dealing with the Professor. Any time the military has an operation that can't fail, they call this guy in to train the troops, OK? He's the kind of guy that would drink a gallon of gasoline so he could piss in your campfire! You could drop this guy off at the Arctic Circle wearing a pair of bikini underwear, without his toothbrush, and tomorrow afternoon he's going to show up at your pool side with a million dollar smile and fist full of pesos. This guy's a professional, you got me? If he reaches this rig, we're all gonna be nothing but a big goddamned hole right in the middle of Alaska. So let's go find him and kill him and get rid of the son of a bitch!

and

I want you to protect this entrance like it was your sister's cherry, Tonto!

and

Yeah, that's right! Go ahead, big boy! MAKE YOUR MOVE! Then I'm gonna shove this goddamn shotgun up your ass and blow the top of your FUCKING HEAD OFF!

04/13/2018 - 11:00am Go Vegas

What they've done is remarkable.  Hat hate hate Anaheim, Pitt, and Toronto.  The others would be fine but have to agree Columbus winning would be bad. Or good as OSU fans heads might explode and lessen their population.

As an Oilers fan, it's golf season...

04/04/2018 - 9:28am FB

Just like the pages of Flowrestling, Intermat, NCAA Wrestling, USA Wrestling, Michigan Wrestling to name a few.  They post updates on all the major studs and where they pick to go to college.  Easy way to stay informed.

Michigan has an awesome class coming in this year. 3 absolute hammers.  And now McHenry.  They keep this up and they will be able to push PSU when these guys round out.

Future is bright for the Wrestling Wolverines!!

03/29/2018 - 9:10am That is super funny

But unless they're using clips, not tennies like this fella, they're only weekend/once a month/once a year riders!

03/29/2018 - 9:06am Zwift for MGoRiders

Anyone on the forum use Zwift? My brother got me on it in January 2017. It's helped me lose 35 pounds and counting.  But also gave me some health problems that I have to manage. Still since then I ridden 2,400 miles on Zwift and more outside.  Biking is such a fun sport.

I use a Wahoo Kickr Version 2. Wish I didn't have to upgrade to Version3 to get the Kickr Climb. Would love that.

I mention Zwift because today they released Alpe Du Zwift which is a mirror of the famous Alpe D'Huez climb that the Tour de France typically rides every 2nd or 3rd year.  7.8 milies at an average gradient of 8.3% with 1034 meters or 3394 feet of climbing.

This is about 2km shorter than the Tour version, but still, all I see is pain coming this weekend!

Ride On!

03/29/2018 - 8:52am Gonna have to get one

Last year I almost pulled the trigger but decided against it. My brother got a kit and like ST3 above, he got a new one because the color was off. he was a happy camper.  Did say the chamois was not the best for what its worth.

03/22/2018 - 9:25am As An Oiler fan

I can tell you they did this because they have no forward depth at the AHL level.  They have a lot Dmen, but squat for forwards who could play in the NHL.  They've now signed 2 of their young draft picks for next year and traded for 2 College players.  Prevailing theory is they want all these players in Bakersfield next year.  But will Marody leave is the question?

Peter Chiarelli is an absolutely incompetenat GM.  He has now destroyed 2 teams. Boston and Edmonton.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's fired this summer.  His trades, he gets fleeced every time (Taylor Hall for Larsson straight up; Griffin Rheinhart who can't make an NHL team for a first and second which gave the Islanders Barzal; Eberle for Strome straight up; Pat Maroon for a 3rd rounder which they traded for Marody).  And he signs players over their worth and then gives then NMC (Sekera $5.5Mx5, Russell $4Mx4, and Lucic at $6Mx7).

McDavid is the best player in the league. And someone had a spot on take today on Oilersnation. McDavid is equivalent to Barry Sanders. One fantastic player with a bunch of subpar support cast and an incompetent Management team that can't build a winner around the best player in the league.

I'll just have to pray that Edmonton gets back in the playoffs again sometime in my lifetime. Sad

03/20/2018 - 3:44pm Just what I was going to write.

Wrestling always gets the axe. A few years ago it was extremely common.  Now next year there will be 3 new programs. Now minus one.

EMU is not overly bad in wrestling. They get some very good recruits.  They had an All American this year who came up from Florida.

Wrestling only get 9 scholarships, so most starters aren't even on a full ride most the time.

If they have outside funding they can stay DI.  Duke does NOT offer scholarships for their wrestling team and has a DI team. Also had a HWT All American. a 2xer at that. Think they might have had one or two more this year too.  So it can be done.

Just sad wrestling is always the first to go. Grrr.

03/18/2018 - 4:40pm My exact list

I’d also add Cornell at this point. The last 5 years they have been fantastic.

03/18/2018 - 4:38pm Top 6-7, not sure about Top 5

PSU, OSU, OKie State, Iowa are without a doubt the top 4 in terms of history and year in year out being damn good. I’d argue Minnesota has a stronger program over the last 20 years so I’d say they’re 5. They even won a Naty once. Then comes the Michigan, Cornell, Iowa State, and a few others

Michigan’s wrestling room does put them a leg up in recruiting now. They signed several studs this year. And I think with the room, UM’s academics, and graduate wrestlers training for Worlds, it does put them a leg up on most everyone. They will continue to be extremely good. But can they catch OSU and PSU, that is the question.

I think Bormet gets the job. Joe asked him to come back after being a successful Team USA coach for a few years. That being said, I’d for him or any new coach to push the guys to attack more. The Iowa style just wears down opponents and gets you stall calls. Look at Valencia last night and against Amine. He shot like 20x in each match. I loved it. Especially taking out Hall. I’d love our guys to start trending in that direction.

03/18/2018 - 9:20am Not in trouble

But she heard me yell when Poole made that shot! Some St. Patty’s day Luck, I think.

03/17/2018 - 12:05am Pantaleo, Amine, Abounader

Each need 1 win to go for third. They have some tough matches. Alec even though seeded higher is likely the underdog against Iowa’s Kemerer. Amine takes on OSU’s Jordan again. He’s won the last 2 but will be a battle. Dom has the “easiest” match going against a lower seeded Illinois wrestler. Need a few wins to stay in 4th place. If Micic and Coon win, we could push Iowa for third. NC State is nipping at our heels. I checked the bracket and pretty much all their guys will be underdogs. So good for UM. Go Blue!

03/16/2018 - 10:52pm OSU finished 2-4 UM 2-3

Pantaleo got threw to his back whil leaning in too much when leading 2-1.  Was done after that.  He can come back for 3rd without a doubt. Was wrestling great,  Just got caught.

Amine comes close and loses 7-5. Ref was a jackass and gave Amine 2 stalling calls.  Amine had 2 TDs. Pathetic reffing. Should have went to OT

Abounader takes the loss. Was never in it. 6-3.

Coon takes it 4-2.

HWT will be epic tomorrow. Coon Synder III.  Can Coon get it done again?  Hail yes! Go Blue!

Michigan sits in 4th overall. Iowa jumped them with consi wins.  The 3 guys that lost will need to win tomorrow to hold off NC STate and hopefully jump Iowa.  About 10 points back. And 6 ahead.

03/16/2018 - 8:52pm OSU is 0-3 so far

Love it.  We can't catch them but PSU will pull ahead with their studs coming up.

03/16/2018 - 8:32pm Micic to the finals!

8-4 over OSU.  All the better!

03/16/2018 - 8:01pm And they're doing this without Beazley

At the Big Ten tournament during the 3-4th place match, Beazley the 197 lber and an AA last year had his arm wrenched by the Indiana wreslter, whom he decked earlier in the tournament.  Beazley definitely would have won matches and been in the fight for a second AA finish.

This is the second year in a row that a UM wrestler was hurt at the Big Ten tourney and had to sit out the National tournament.  Last was Murphy, who was also a previous AA and would have been seeded in the top 8.

Unfortunately, Logan Massa did not repeat as an AA today.  Last year he was third.  This year he was hurt, his knee, and maybe came back too early and was getting beat.  But was rounding in to much better form.  But got beat for the third ime this year by Wick of Wisconsin whose a long wrestler that uses the legs. Massa was down a riding point and had to go for it but gave up a TD with about 15s to to get beat.  In consolations, he had to face the 8th seed and a returnign AA from OSU.  He was down early but can back to tie it and force overtime.  BUt got hit by a slide by.  Bad luck for Logan.  He'll never use the knee as an excuse but he wasn't the same after that.  Hopefully he'll be back 100% next year and return to form. Such a great wrestler.

03/13/2018 - 12:54pm Clickbait

But Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please! Please!

03/13/2018 - 12:51pm What.The.Hell

How does a helmet do that?  Did it have a razorblade attached to it.  That was nasty. Unbelievable Tom could perfom with all those stiches.  Had to smart big time.

03/13/2018 - 12:49pm Class act!

Very honored to have Chase represent the University in such a fantastic way. All class!

03/09/2018 - 1:35pm Hope it happens

Liek everyone, if you want a true B1G Conference, more teams need to come on. Add to the fact I'm moving down that way this summer, I'm 1:20 from campus so I'll be able to take in some Michigan football, wrestling, and hockey if it comes...

03/09/2018 - 1:33pm Can't raise Taxes IMO

IL already has the second highest property taxes in the US. Sales tax is like 8.1%. It'd have to be donations because people would flip at getting taxes raised to support an arena.

03/09/2018 - 1:21pm No.

If he was staying, I think it would have come out in the media.

Bigger speculation for me is does he have a scholarship? I would think he had to petition to leave and UM released him of his scholarship.  So technically he doesn't have one right now.  Harbaugh would have to grant him one again.  Would he or wouldn't he based on jumping ship is a very interesting question. Would love to be a fly on the wall in the coaches room if that was a discussion that was happening. Personally I don't Harbaugh would after leaving the program and Coach liking Brandon and Dylan. But I could be completely wrong. Who knows?

03/09/2018 - 9:11am Honestly

That ship has sailed. Right, wrong, indifferent, he made his choice and that was to leave. Not Michigan's fault he can't find a team willing to give him a scholarship. Even if Shea is not eligible, I don't think he should come back. And we trust Peters and Dylan to get it done and hope for no injuries.

03/03/2018 - 11:22pm Yes

They will be last.
