Michigan - Oregon Open Thread

This game would have been over a while ago. Only reason Oregon is in the game is because our front line is atrocious.

Caris 20% shooting.  Needs to quit forcing shit.  I'll give him some slack because he's the only one besides Walton who can create there own shot.

Oregons two top scorers have 4 fouls. Can we please get Brooks out of the game?

Dawson had the flu and did not play. MSU also have three experienced players/scorers and a bunch of young guys trying to learn the system. The front court w/o Dawson was very average at best against a horrible and undersized Santa Clara team. MSU are a work in process too. Two great coaches will have these teams ready in March. "Fans" will be frustrated on occaision until then.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the team isn't getting what it needs from Caris so far this season.  He has been a terribly inefficent shooter so far.  It seems the extra volume and work load on him has very much hurt is offensive game.

These are the kinds of games where we need LeVert and Walton to step up. Both have gone ice cold though. Doyle and consistent free throws are what's keeping us in this game.

But we went through this same issue this time last year. The team will get better as the season goes along.

Does anyone think levert might be the third best player on our team ? I think we live and die on irvin this season

Oregon just hitting shots down the stretch. And when they don't they are killing us on the offensive glass. I feel like we should have pulled away a few times now. If we were having just an average 3 point night..

I'm really ready for Caris' shooting slump to be over.
