Locker room issues after the game?

Submitted by Shop Smart Sho… on

I'm copy and pasting WMUKirk's post from the Snowflakes Offense thread.  Feel free to delete if you think it shouldn't be up. Figured people would miss this as it is buried in that thread.

"I do not know where to post this but here's information for you.

1. Michigan will be holding a players only meeting tomorrow, spearheaded by Jake Ryan, and Ramon Taylor.

2. Shane has a high ankle sprain, doubtful he plays next week. Can barely put pressure on it.

3. Desmond Morgan is highly upset that Jabril didn't play today.

4. Players morale has geniuely finally dipped.

5. Jabril turned his back to the coaches after the game, and looked in his locker. He's highly disgusted.

6. Doesn't feel like a team, defense keeps to defense. Offense to offense. Not much cross mingling between them after this game.

7. Nuss & Hoke argued with Dave Brandon present. Words weren't audible to any one else. "

Well #7 is easily explained, Coach Brandon is upset Coach Hoke and Coach Nuss didnt follow his game plan as he spent all week detailing out.  All that film study by Brandon was wasted yet again!  3rd week in 5 Coach Brandon's work was wasted by the "coaches".

WMUKIrk is a complete bullshitter.  The guy said Devin had a tendon injury and would need surgery, and he comes out with virtually no problems in the 4th quarter.  He has zero credentials, and not a single person here should listen to one word he says.

I correctly spoke on the Shane Morris starting, Glasgow changing positions, the Pistol Runs, and Devin's injury I never said would require surgery. If you're going to quote me, quote correctly. Denard played 9 quarters of football with a simaliar injury, that gradually gets worse throughout the game. It is posts like these, and messages on reddit that make me, and surely my family member regret putting themselves in harm way so that you can get an inside look at the most guarded and shielded locker room in sports.

"The damage is in the is believed to be to the flexor retinaculum, causing tarsal tunnel. And there is no easy fix for it, it could take up to 12 months to restore most flebility and power. If that is what it is, rest is the only thing that can fix it. If it isn't that then it could be an infection."

I never said he'd start at WR, I said he would play WR in the redzone as a decoy. And the only time Michigan got in the redzone they kept the the same 11, keeping their adventageous personnel and ran an inside zone. I explicitly said in the other thread he would not start, as did another poster saying he misquoted me.

Predictions:

1) "Don't be surprised if Glasgow is replaced"- no

2) "Morris will get the start, DG will be at WR. Norfleet will play a bigger role in this game, expect more bubble screens, and pistol runs."- Yes, not even close, not even close, not even close, and maybe?

3) 'expect to see extra OL in on 3rd and shorts, instead of a TE."- No

You're full of shit

it seems like pretty dumb idea, regardless of score. I hope he's full of shit. If the coaches think a distraction (why would anyone give a shit? do other teams throw their second string QB out at receiver? besides the Browns?) like that is worth lost practice reps as the second string QB, they should be walked out immediately.

In general, that critique would be pretty applicable.

But Devin Gardner is actually being considered by most NFL scouts as a WIDE RECEIVER, and a Wide Reciever ONLY.

Only some have him as a QB. He actually has all the measureables of a great WR.

Gardner is a complete physical freak, when compared to the "physical freakiness" (I just wanted to make up that term) of athletes who are 6'4" ~215 lbs. I.e. for someone who is only 215 lbs (which is less than most NFL RBs who are 5'7") he has A LOT of strength, fight, and balance (which is what GETS HIM INTO TROUBLE at the QB position) he is DECEPTIVELY FAST, and has great hands, and high-point ability.

In short, Devin Gardner is a HUGE THREAT at the WR position.

And the ineptitude and unwillingness to adopt a TRULY DYNAMIC offensive attack (via Borges AND Nuss), with him in 2011-2014 is truly a shame.

Remember how amazing it was to have Denard Robinson at RB and Devin Gardner at QB during the last ~2+ games in 2012, especially against South Carolina when they had more time to practice/ Denard's injury was only starting to heal (Robinson ran for 100yds against South Carolina's very formidable defense).

"Dynamic" is what this coaching staff ISN'T and EXACLTY what it NEEDS TO BE at this point.

And it "needs it" in EVERY WAY. RIGHT NOW.

You never said Glasgow would change positions. In fact, when asked about any OL changes you said there weren't any as of yesterday, and the only thing that would change would be another OL (Kalis next to Glasgow). You said Glasgow was the weak link as far as tempo went.

You also said the offense would open up, which it did not. And that Norfleet would play a bigger role, which he also did not.

The pistol runs (which I didn't see, but wasn't looking for) would make sense because, if I recall correctly, they used them during the KSU game last year with Morris.

Huh? Are you risking your family's lives?

I call bullshit too. This guy made an account 3 days ago and everyone's eating up what he says? Whatever happened to that guy claiming he played college ball and knew how bad the CBs' technique was and how Frank Clark was a bad player? This guy's account is too new to be him, but it sounds like the same stuff, right down to the misspellings. Seems he just made a new one.

We already know the team is totally dysfunctional without hearing from this guy.

I simply have no words for the program at this moment....all positives seem to become negatives over time. I'm stunned. Some serious house cleaning needs to be done. I want to see this group of players finish here, ans succeed here. I'm speechless. As someone who has really been giving Brady the benefit of the doubt, he needs to be gone as soon as possible.

Something about Devin coming in the game looking more confident than he ever has IMO reminded me of Moxy on varsity blues....playing his heart out in spite of everything around him.

Season's over and we're already at rock bottom. I wouldn't blink an eye if there's a player mutiny. Can't get much worse. Maybe it will finally force some change. But it probably won't and we'll be right back here next Saturday.

yay fun times

Just talked to a girl who knows a few players.  Apparently there is some strife between the defense and offense... and within the offense.  Bellomy didn't know Morris was injured.
