All good. Your post was at least somewhat informative.

Is this in trade for AJ Henning?
Welcome and GO BLUE!

The legacy of Keith Jackson = no link in the post.

I don't know anything about this guy. Is he any good?
December 28th, 2023 at 8:55 AM ^
All Big Ten this year.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:14 AM ^
It was a Yes or No question dude.
/jk - thanks 😊

Lathan Ransom was all B1G in 2022
December 28th, 2023 at 9:40 AM ^
Why does someone always try to earn the 'Debbie' nickname?
December 28th, 2023 at 12:27 PM ^
I just want to be reasonable about replacing perhaps the best guard combo in UM history. Kind of like bringing in Nugent was great this year. But he failed to live up to Olu. A NW guard who made all B1G isn't going to be Keegan/Zinter.
On the other hand, if he can bring in some of Fitz's manly hazing culture, that would help us take the next step as a program.
December 28th, 2023 at 1:05 PM ^
Next year is a new team. Just like this years team was different than last years. It’s not about being as good or better than the guys leaving. TK and ZZ are gone regardless.
Hate to quote sweater vest but I really think he said it best along time ago. How this years team will perform has nothing to do with who’s not here. It’s about who is.
December 28th, 2023 at 1:56 PM ^
He's solid...but he'll have to come in and compete.
I think El-Hadi is a lock. But that other (Zinter) spot will be open depending on what happens with the 5th and 6th year guys.
December 28th, 2023 at 1:47 PM ^
Did someone pay you to say that?

"Priebe takes home All-Big Ten honors for the first time in his career. The senior captain from Niles, had an outstanding season leading the Northwestern offensive line, starting all 12 games at left guard. Behind Priebe, Northwestern rushed for 90-plus yards eight different times and scored 14 touchdowns on the ground. Additionally, Northwestern’s line allowed two or fewer sacks on five separate occasions. Priebe’s outstanding protection was highlighted by his allowance of zero pressures against Rutgers, Minnesota, Iowa and Purdue, per Pro Football Focus. According to PFF, Priebe posted a pass blocking grade of 80.0+ in four different games this season"

"Additionally, guard Josh Priebe was named to the All-Big Ten Third Team. The senior captain allowed 17 pressures and had a 97.5 PFF efficiency, the best among any NU O-lineman."

Couple things I found. PFF sucks but it's something.

It says something pretty good about the program when we keep adding kids in portal that were captains on their former team.
I would love to see a stat on it. I have to believe we are at the top both number and percentage the past few years.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:17 AM ^
Quick google and I see him in some NFL mocks for early day 3, top half of the 4th round
December 28th, 2023 at 9:18 AM ^
Moore and Harbaugh wanted him.
Any other questions?
December 28th, 2023 at 9:57 AM ^
nope but our program is struggling, and our o-line is abysmal so we'll take just about anyone at this points. Beggars can't be choosers, and all that.
Wait...I'm lost i thought this was RCMB. where did he commit again?
December 28th, 2023 at 8:59 AM ^
Well that's a pleasant surprise.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:06 AM ^
O-line U!!!!
They should just change Joe to Sherrone... the Sherrone Moore Award.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:08 AM ^
His NWU bio lists him as a senior. I’m ASSuming that he has (or will) have degree in-hand, as Michigan likely won’t accept any bumbass Northwestern credits! When I was at UofM (1996-21), NWU was on trimesters, those credits are only worth 1/3rd, tops.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:11 AM ^
If you ask NU grads, they transfer 1:1 with any Ivy and 2:1 with everyone else
December 28th, 2023 at 9:18 AM ^
That's pretty much true.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:51 AM ^
It's funny, when I went to a Northwestern / Michigan game at their stadium, all of their students started chanting "public school" at us. They have a lofty view of themselves ...
December 28th, 2023 at 9:59 AM ^
jokes on them, all their jobs are about to be replaced with AI
December 28th, 2023 at 10:23 AM ^
I used to drive my kids to school on Sheridan Rd, which cuts right through the Northwestern campus. The students would bolt across, dodging traffic, and not use the myriad crosswalks. In the snow, when cars were more likely to lose control, it was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. So.....maybe book smart, but not life smart.
December 28th, 2023 at 10:47 AM ^
Not to be argumentative, Wendy, but Michigan students do the same thing.Between my father’s experience as a FedEx driver and my own from decades driving in Ann Arbor I can attest to this. Being young can fill one with exuberance and a false sense of security.
Between this and the townies riding bicycles without a care in the world Ann Arbor is an obstacle course for drivers.
I had a townie on his bicycle in the summer do a u-turn on his bicycle right in front of my car.(He was off to my side when he started his insane maneuver) Fortunately, I had put plenty of space between my car and his bike.
December 28th, 2023 at 11:22 AM ^
When do you grow out of it?
December 28th, 2023 at 11:51 AM ^
Sal I know you get beat up a bit but you’re too sensitive. I was speaking about myself.
December 28th, 2023 at 1:24 PM ^
My son graduated from UM in '23. Our family spent a LOT of time in AA during his four years (and before). I (we) love AA. Who doesn't? I will not miss driving in AA. I would always forget how much I hate driving in AA until we would get there, and then, big sigh.
December 28th, 2023 at 7:17 PM ^
I think that's true, re: young people do dumb things. But it always struck me on this one stretch of road, where they actually installed a ton of crosswalks for this very reason -- because at least one student got hit -- that they still didn't use them.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:11 AM ^
Always take a team captain with 80% PFF ratings in four B1G games. His being from Niles probably helped. That said, we are hopefully still searching for at least one stud tackle on portal.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:35 AM ^
We've got solid people at that position already. Should be a real battle for those IOL positions.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:11 AM ^
Northwestern beat out our entire conference for this guy when they signed him. He also enrolled early so he just completed his 8th semester there. Hopefully that means he graduated and can join our team right away. I'm not sure if he redshirted in 2021 or not but if he did then he'll have two years of eligibility left.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:20 AM ^
He played in eight games in 2020, nine in 2021, eight in 2022, and presumably all of them in 2023 (https://nusports.com/sports/football/roster/josh-priebe/11192).
December 28th, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
He got the Covid year. One year left in college.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:11 AM ^
Fun fact, Josh is 40 years old and is bringing a blunt approach to the O line.
Oh wait, wrong guy. My bad.
Jokz aside, this is a great pick up. He is another "culture" guy who was a solid starter for NW.
Priebe’s All-Big Ten selection in the first of his career, as the captain started all 12 games at left guard for the Wildcats this season. According to Pro Football Focus, Priebe produced a pass blocking grade of 80.0 or more in four games this year.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:25 AM ^
Hadn’t even heard him being connected with us but definitely a nice pick up. Seems like he’ll be competing for a starting guard spot with El Hadi and Anderson. Should be a pretty solid spot on the OL
December 28th, 2023 at 9:54 AM ^
Hope El Hadi gets a chance to start - I’ve liked him since he came, would hate to see him being recruited over
December 28th, 2023 at 11:24 AM ^
Kids due. He could have started at almost any other Big Ten school this year.
The days of bad o-line play seem so long ago.
December 28th, 2023 at 9:38 AM ^
Nice.
December 28th, 2023 at 11:00 AM ^
Olu was from UVA, Drake/Hinton from Stanford, and Priebe from Northwestern. Seems like Moore has a type when it comes OL transfers.
Only Henderson came from a non elite academic school.
December 28th, 2023 at 4:50 PM ^
Seems important for the complicated variety of run schemes we have. Smart maulers.....all good.
December 28th, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
Excellent addition. Lets get one tackle.
