I think it’s Nico Collins . He just looks like a NFL guy. He made some really nice adjustment on catches this year and I think next year he’s our #1 guy.

Quinn Nordin will retire at 45 after an incredible career. They will rename the Ray Guy award after him even though he will never attempt a single punt. Raback that.
February 16th, 2019 at 8:43 PM ^
I have to say Ben Mason because he is one of the few fullbacks in college. Nfl teams still have a use for a full back in certain situations with certain teams and he can play special teams. He may be undraftee but I think he will stick with someone or float around to a few teams for a long career

Ben Mason will be a Bill Belichick special!

Also out on a limb here...
Am I the only one looking at underclassmen, besides DPJ?
My nominee is Joe Milton. He has the size, arm strength and speed to be an NFL QB. He isn't there yet, but based on potential he looks like he has what the scouts look for. Just hoping our new QB coach does him good.

If this becomes truth watch out. My concerns are accuracy will hold him back.

I agree Vlady. Nico has the highest ceiling of our wideouts. Just need a better scheme to get them the ball. Hopefully Gattis will figure this out soon.

DPJ is the next Davante Adams if he keeps improving his route running nuance.

The number of people who have said McCaffery here is embarassing.
McCaffery has played well in a crazy limited number of snaps. Projecting that into NFL stardom is insane. Hopefully he will be a great COLLEGE player at some point.
Note, I am not ripping McCaffery. I LIKE McCaffery. I just don't think we've seen enough of him to evaluate his pro potential yet.

We still have a football team? Thought we folded the program because we took a couple three stars in the last class thus ending life as we know it and bringing about the return of Gozer the Gozerian.

The offensive passing schemes completely ruined what should have been top ten type talent at wideout. Collins, DPJ, Black, etc all have ability. My hope is that the offense adopts what is being talked about once again and is as aggressive as the defense.
It is absolutely terrible watching the offense plod along with the play calls taking until the last 5 seconds every damn play to get a snap off. Speeding up the offense and getting the ball out more quickly would greatly improve and open up the running game....and NOT running play action with 3rd and long EVER again would also be a nice change.

McCaffery will have a better NFL career than Shea but Shea will have a nice career. Nice to me is you collect a paycheck for five years. Shea is still your starter.
The fresh are going to shine in order. Trente Jones, Dax Hill, Mazi, Chris Hinton, Karson Barnhart, Zach, Ojabo, Keegan Rumler.
Ceasar, Bredeson, L Hill, Mayfield, Paye, Uche, Mcgrone, Turner, maybe Ross. Nico will have the best of the Big three but all will play. Bench Mason will find a spot
Harbaugh has stocked the team with top rate talent.

No one can agree on even one single player on this team that will get a second contract.
There is still a recruiting gap between this team and those teams with which it is competing at the highest levels.
February 17th, 2019 at 8:59 AM ^
Well, if we're going by recruiting rankings I'd say Dax Hill. But, we've never seen him play in college. But, I kind of think Tarik Black will is the best actually football player. So, if I have to chose someone with experience I'd go with Tarik.

I like Patterson but not sure he’ll make it in the NFL. I think he’s got everything but the real quick release. We’ll see. He was good last year but with Gattis, he may even get better.
Tarik - I like him but not sure we’ve seen him used enough. Also I wonder if he’s injury prone? If he gets hurt again this summer or fall, that might be it.
DPJ - yes. If he beefs up a bit without losing and speed. He’s just got the speed & instinct required. Knows how to meet up with the ball wherever it’s thrown. Very good at deceiving his defender(s).
I still like Joe Milton... I know we haven’t seen enough yet but if this kid and learn to throw accurately, he’s got all the other tools.
February 17th, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
DPJ will be a Top 3 WR in the NFL after a few seasons. This guy was criminally underused and misused this season
Tarik Black if healthy will be a franchise WR. He was actually rated as a 1st round prospect in the 2020 WalterFooball mock draft I looked at before he reinjured himself this season. They had him going #10. I know drafts that far out are a crapshoot but still
Aidan Hutchinson is going to be a dominant pass rusher. Already showed the signs his freshman year.
Kwity Paye will be a dominant pass rusher
Dylan McCaffrey will probably be a good QB
Ambry Thomas is a baller. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes a name for himself in the NFL
Ben Mason will be a pro bowl fullback
