|07/14/2018 - 12:17am||A front with Gary, Chase,…||
A front with Gary, Chase, Solomon, Dwumfor (if all the reports are spot on) and having Bush and Hudson coming through....sounds like fun for most of the QBs on the schedule.
|07/07/2018 - 9:09am||The recruiting site business…||
The recruiting site business models are obviously unable to support the number of sites over the past few years, resulting in the mergers and/or lack of staffing in the previous four major players.
The reality with any business is that leaders expect higher returns each year so variable expenses like travel and personnel costs are supposed to magically go down while in theory they magically improve the overall product.
This will lead to a much higher focus on the camps bringing the prospects to the evaluators, prospects that are in high proximity to each other or major travel hubs, etc. The reality is that many schools are now staffed up with a large number of staff to evaluate recruits and those programs that hit more often with their own evaluations moving forward will look like savants.
|07/05/2018 - 3:28pm||Face it, this year in…||
Face it, this year in particular starting off the season with a win over anyone, and particularly ND, is a huge lift. With the way the season ended, there is a strong need to flip the script quickly on winning big games, and winning big games against quality opponents on the road.
With the talent on defense, and the growth that should occur with the offensive side of the ball, they need to pull off this win in SB.
|07/03/2018 - 2:37pm||The focus on speed and…||
The focus on speed and athleticism is great to see. The overall change in team speed is really apparent on the defense....hoping that the offense can put together a complement to that this fall.
|05/14/2018 - 9:47am||Setting Up Excuses||
This simply sounds like he is really wanting to start providing "differences" to justify a decision that he wants to make if he is accepted. The amount of attention HS kids is I am sure overwhelming. If the number of phone calls is truly the deciding factor in going to a school I would be really surprised...wins on the field, programs of interest, perception of future opportunities with NFL, degrees, etc should be the key focus I would think, especially with a kid looking at Stanford/Michigan, etc.
It just sounds like he is looking for a way to let people down easy on his future choice if he gets the opportunity.
|05/02/2018 - 1:08pm||KISS||
Sometimes the very best principle in executing plans is to just keep it simple stupid. It was quite apparent that there was mass confusion in many cases during various points of last season and while executing simple strategies helped the basic running game plays, confusion in blocking schemes with atrocious QB play and decision making could not overcome that improvement.
I think that there is also a lot missed as to why the age of the team plays a critical component particularly later in the year simply based upon the fact that all players lose some of the strength/endurance that is built up over the off-seasons...and that "loss" is compounded when such a large majority of players are so young.
Combining better strategy and concepts to maximize the line performance, along with QBs who can execute and hit an open target (how many wide open receivers were simply missed last year?), and add in the experience and growth with age and this team should be much better positioned to execute this year.
I also do not think it is limited to the offense, I think there were some lapses last year in the 2nd half of games with young players who were simply not used to the long grind of a season and the impact to their play from a physical standpoint. Adding 5-10lbs of muscle to some of the DBs with just an extra year in the weight room should be very valuable as one example...where maybe that qtr or half a step goes away this year and a "perfect throw" is broken up.
|02/13/2018 - 8:09pm||Spot on||
Of course it is ESPNs fault for sensationalizing (read reporting) on a cultural collapse that is found throughout a program with coaches who have supported a culture of violence against women by coaches and players...from the gymnastics, football and basketball programs.
God forbid they stop and consider that this inbred lack of oversight and care and concern should have anyone outside of the prosecutors who have been hired into their Title IX program office to shine a light and openly discuss the obvious issues that have been rumoured and understood for years within the state.
Now that they are national news, it is sensational....hypocritical BS statement that really amounts to the fact that we want to move all of these lawsuits to mediation to settle at the lowest cost possible to the school and protect the hell out of a football and basketball program that are the pinnacle of success in east lansing.
|01/28/2018 - 11:39am||New Boss||
If Hollis had survived I would assume both would as well.
With Hollis and Simon gone, and the fireworks of the OTL stories and obvious civil cases (and potentially criminal with prosecutors and AG investigators) who wants to be the new President or AD and have those two still on board and defiant?
I just cannot see anyone wanting to take that on without a clean slate.
|01/09/2018 - 11:09pm||Another BS Call||
What a fucking absolute load of shit...should have been a call on Haas to start that play with all his pushing for position
|01/09/2018 - 11:07pm||Last I checked||
slapping down like that should either have been called a foul or OOB on Purdue with the ball to Michigan
|01/09/2018 - 11:06pm||BS||
Another example of the steller officiating in the Big Ten
|01/09/2018 - 7:58am||Winning||
Also kinda helps to win big games and look good at the end of your season vs. collapsing in the last 3-4 games on national TV. At the end of the day collapsing down the stretch consistently may (crazily) have an impact with recruits who are watching from a distance and deciding to go to programs that are winning.
If Michigan did not lose big games at the end of the last two years recruiting is not an issue or discussion at this point. Developing QBs and OL is important and basic requirements for having a good team...not exactly a big secret.
|12/19/2017 - 10:41am||All Around Improvement||
Improved pass protection, a QB that can identify the open targets (and you know, hit them in stride) and receivers that grow a bit and start making the 50-50 plays half the time will make a world of difference.
Michigan has plenty of talent in receivers to go around, getting them a year older will be great, ensuring that fade routes to the shortest, least athletically gifted receivers ARE NEVER ALLOWED again is another, and having a QB who can read and throw to the actually open receivers are all some of the gifts I would like to get for Xmas.
|11/25/2017 - 5:18pm||Agreed||
At a certain point given the known entity that JOK is, why not run out Malzone or even McCaffrey. I am sorry, but in my mind I would burn a redshirt or six to beat OSU.
|11/25/2017 - 3:49pm||Takes another Sack||
Jesus, he is just fucking awful, someone should honestly call Harbaugh out for the lack of trying SOMEONE, ANYONE, MALZONE, etc at QB in the second half. OKorn plays like he is shellshocked and has absolutely no awareness of what is happening on the field.
|11/25/2017 - 3:45pm||OKorn||
that last play is simply what Okorn brings to the table. No where to throw, take a sack instead of throwing it OOBs
|11/25/2017 - 3:42pm||OKorn||
With the hustle tackle on that one.
|11/25/2017 - 3:41pm||Stupid||
Another mental lapse play
|11/25/2017 - 3:39pm||Special Teams||
With another outstanding crap on KO return
|11/25/2017 - 3:37pm||Malzone||
Could not be this fucking horribly bad, and then let fucking Webber score who is one of hte biggest aholes of all time
|11/25/2017 - 3:34pm||Gentry was Wide Fucking Open||
What a piece of shit
|11/25/2017 - 3:33pm||What the Fuck||
Where in the fuck was he throwing the goddamn football too?
|11/25/2017 - 3:31pm||Ok||
OKorn, basic concept here, step INTO the damn throws, WIDE OPEN receivers are a GOOD thing to throw the goddamn ball to.
|11/25/2017 - 3:30pm||Brady||
Can someone sneak Brady in for one series with the #8 on??? Please, would give up my first born for it to happen.
|11/25/2017 - 3:29pm||Finally||
Cannot believe how many big plays the D has given up with Haskins in
|11/25/2017 - 3:27pm||Harbaugh, Drevno, Pep||
Do you see what those mesh pass plays can do????? I know it is really complex, but seems to work
|11/25/2017 - 3:27pm||Or||
Shit the fucking bed and give up another fucking big play...fuck
|11/25/2017 - 3:25pm||Need a Big Stop||
Pick six would be nice here
|11/25/2017 - 3:24pm||Harbaugh||
Should be absolutely embarrased that OKorn is the best we can put on the field at this point.
|11/25/2017 - 3:22pm||Make a damn play||
Fucking goddamnit fucking choked on a big set of balls again
|11/25/2017 - 3:20pm||Recruiting||
Need to sell their souls for tackles and a damn QB
|11/25/2017 - 3:18pm||OKorn||
Is he just too stupid to throw the goddamn fucking ball??? for the fuck of Christ he is fucking terrible.
|11/25/2017 - 3:14pm||Lets See||
How far back from the LOS can OKorn run this time before deciding holding the ball for 10 seconds is a bad idea
|11/25/2017 - 3:11pm||D||
Really should be setting the pace for the team right now, cannot let OSU own the LOS, no excuses with the injuries and Barrett out, have to make big stops and get a turnover
|11/25/2017 - 3:09pm||Must be Nice||
A QB who actually makes good reads and throws...I heard Michigan used to in the far distant past actually have one of those.
|11/25/2017 - 3:08pm||DLine||
Needs to be absolutely owning the LOS now
|11/25/2017 - 3:07pm||BS||
Cannot give OSU a first in that situation to Webber
|11/25/2017 - 3:04pm||Defense||
Needs to take advantage of Haskins and Jones out, no excuse at all for the last drive
|11/25/2017 - 2:58pm||Fucking OKorn||
Jesus Christ he fucking turtles in the big moments and does not even remotely understand how to get rid of the god damn ball when he needs to. How does a RS Freshman look so much more composed???
|11/25/2017 - 2:57pm||Jebus||
How in the fuck is that not a PI
|11/19/2017 - 3:56pm||Horning took||
He simply hit a few passes into spaces I am not sure he has done before. Several of the throws and catches had excellent coverage and Wisconsin simply made great plays.
Could argue Mettelus was slow to react to the TD but Hudson also gave the inside slant. Without knowing the actual assignment there it is hard to say
|11/18/2017 - 3:14pm||Christ||
Nobody within 10 yds of a dropped punt
|11/18/2017 - 3:13pm||OKorn||
3rd and 12....thow the god damn ball down the field to a receiver ... let them make a play
|11/18/2017 - 3:11pm||Catch it||
Jesus need to make those damn catches
|11/18/2017 - 3:08pm||Harbaugh||
At some point the questions in the pressers need to really be straight forward about why they suck sooo damn much in calling good plays and developing a passing game at all.
|11/18/2017 - 3:05pm||Of Course||
shit bs penalty and then big play again
|11/18/2017 - 3:04pm||Fucking horseshit fucking call||
jesus fucking christ
|11/18/2017 - 3:03pm||Total BS||
That was not even FUCKING close
|11/18/2017 - 3:02pm||Pick Six||
Horningbrook needs to Horningbrook here
|11/18/2017 - 2:44pm||Jesus||
how the fuck does every QB playing Michigan seem to channel their inner Heisman game in a big game for what seems like forever
