Are you talking about the…

Are you talking about the Minnesota/BU game?

Because Michigan/Quinnipiac is at 8:30pm.

This deserves more attention…

This deserves more attention than it is getting. Most wins of all time in her sport. And possibly most wins in ANY sport through all divisions of NCAA.

Giver the accolades she has earned.

Fact. Great move..

But isn't it too late? Haven't contracts been signed and legal obligations been made?

He can complain and protest, but I believe wheels are turning and this cannot be undone. Unless serious fees are paid.

This seems like wasted breath. Correct me if I'm wrong, please

Reliever came in and struck out 3 straight. Huge buzz kill.

7-3 Iowa, top ninth

The opening sequence takes…

The opening sequence takes place AFTER the final scene. In other words, after Nacho's death.

Nacho had the shard of glass in his hand and brought it with him. It came from the glasses that he and Mike had drinks together from. Then he dropped it after stabbing Juan Bolsa. It wasn't just conveniently on the ground.

The rain on the lone blue flower and dried weeds and the glass take place after Nacho's death. The flower was intended to represent Nacho.

What is this "onhockey.tv"…

What is this "onhockey.tv" reference I am seeing? I've tried going to a few variations of this site, and every time I'm either redirected to some junk page or get a warning I'm going to an unsafe site.

Brady WAS a multi-year…

Brady WAS a multi-year starter.

I can see this. Never…

I can see this. Never occurred to me but sure. Only one I really disagree with is Happy Gilmore. The dude transforms himself into a golfer, and the film climax is him winning a golf tourney.

While were at it, Field of Dreams is definitely NOT a baseball movie. I cringe when people list it as one of their favorite baseball movies. FoD is less about baseball than the 3 you listed are about their sports.

The backdrop is a baseball diamond, but it could have been a rink, pitch, course, field or court. There was only people practicing on it in the movie. It was about dreams: a man wanting the inspiration to write again; a son wanting to connect with his father; a doctor just wanting one chance to play a game (which he ultimately turned away from).

Zach Werenski takes a shot…

Zach Werenski takes a shot to the face in the NHL playoffs. Bleeds all over the ice, and the other team scores. He plays a little in one more game, but is eventually benched for his safety the rest of the playoffs.

Admitted??

From the thread title, I thought she was just taken to the UM Hospital. Thankfully not the case.

So she was "accepted", and has not enrolled (or been admitted) anywhere yet.

When were the ever part of D1 hockey?

The UIC Flames were the team from Illinois in the CCHA many years ago.

The Michigan QB I was…

The Michigan QB I was thinking of was Benny Friedman.

Was a revolutionary QB at the time, as the NFL was struggling and the forward pass was just starting to he used more frequently. Many people claim he saved the NFL in the 20's and 30's.

Interesting note: the Detroit franchise in that time named themselves the Wolverines as an effort to get him to sign with them. Also, Tim Mara wanted Friedman so badly to play for the NY Giants that he bought the entire Detroit Wolverines team. He even considered renaming the Giants to the Wolverines also, but I think wisely left the name alone.

Anyway, Friedman focused on his hand strength. Interesting article about it here. Still looking for the one about trying to make his hands larger.

Interesting and funny about…

Interesting and funny about Joe's hands. Anyone who thinks his hands are not worthy of an elite QB is kidding himself. Glad people are joking about it, including him.

I do recall reading an interesting story of a former Michigan QB who was trying to STRETCH his hands to become a better player in the NFL. I'm talking like many decades ago, when the NFL ball was significantly larger than the college ball. He would look for larger handrails in stairways, and wrap his hands around them and walk the stairs.

He's in the HoF now. He was considered the first "all time passing leader" but they didn't keep the passing stats back then. Name escapes me, but I thought it was relevant to the topic. I'll try to find it...

But are they "jazz hands"??

Agreed. One tends to stick out. Granted the host should get the focus, but still.

Also, I hate that logo. Use the Block M -- much more distinctive.

He might be regretting the sport and path he chose now.

Ummm... the white pants are…

Ummm... the white pants are considered the classics. The maize pants are the modern unis.

Yeah I guess you can debate the terms "classic" and "throwback", but I think all white just looks classy.

FWIW, I also think the away uniforms in the Carr era were sharp.

Serious question...

I…

Serious question...

I understand the point of "settling out of court" and why most parties do it: avoiding time in court and huge attorney fees, getting the issue over with, trying to avoid public scrutiny and possible embarrassment, etc.

But if a public university does it, as it was references in your post, can we legally find out the details? Really, if my taxes are going toward some settlement, I'd like to know the details of it. In all seriousness I like knowing where my money is spent in all cases. But if this university is hiding more than we know regarding payments, then I'd be more than upset.

I know this is likely a wish that won't become reality, but I really think it isn't beyond my rights to know everything that is happening with these settlements.

You're not alone on this. I…

You're not alone on this. I miss Michigan Replay. The highlights, the interviews, the preview of the next opponent, and most of all the theme music.

I believe RichRod was the first to say that he wasn't going to participate, so the show ended at that time. A sad day for Michigan Replay fans.

More importantly, why don't…

More importantly, why don't mothers name their children "Amos" and "Fielding" anymore?

Regardless of the unique shape, I wish mine was that size. Girls worldwide worldwide would come by to admire.

He's never leaving the S.A.G. and the red carpet.

Yesterday was Brady's birthday. I kept checking here to see if the topic was posted and discussed. I found the absence of the topic to be very disappointing.

I believe that was the last…

I believe that was the last time we played a non-bowl game after the OSU game.

Hopefully we will end that drought this season.

Seriously, why aren't we …

Seriously, why aren't we (the US) more competitive in international cycling?

Really! We have athletes that don't play in the "Big 4”. We have mountains. We have the trainers and equipment and the money.

I'm baffled why the US doesn't put out more higher-level competition in cycling than we currently do.

But he did have an…

A little off-topic, but I can't create a new thread yet so...

Anyone have a link to Michigan students doing the Bullwinkle dance? At hockey or football venues? Or even just a cool pic?

I googled the interwebs and failed. Best I could come up with was formal concerts or Blues Brothers. TIA

This is a great read…

This is a great read. However, it is all nice words until a new contract is written and signed, with a well-deserved raise going his way.

Make it happen, Warde!

I second this wish. I'd love…

I second this wish. I'd love to see more public support from the other coaches in the department. I have no doubt Harbaugh loves all the Michigan teams and roots for them as well as for his colleagues, but I'd love to see it.

Especially for Jordan Brewer. He was almost a football player for Harbaugh until his injury changed his path.

Mel Pearson tweeted out his own encouragement when Beilein and the hoops team were in the finals. Granted, he was also in the Frozen Four at the time, but it was still cool. I'd love to see that from Harbaugh as well.

Hollis, Hollis, Hollis.

Why…

Hollis, Hollis, Hollis.

Why does everyone choose to forget about that debacle of an AD? He knew what was happening, and never did the right thing. So many more people suffered because of him. He needs to be in jail.

Why are teams wearing…

Why are teams wearing America-themed uniforms?

Louisville has r/w/b colors and stars on their numbers and logo. Auburn has military camo on their hats. One of the other teams that just walked in (Vandy?) had stars and stripes too. ??

Never, ever, ever forget…

Never, ever, ever forget about that scumbag Hollis.

If he was even remotely responsible, many of the catastrophes that happened under his watch would have been stopped sooner. But he never acted, even when everything was exposed to the public.

Hollis should be in jail. How he isn't locked up baffles me still.

I counted 30 in that pic…

I counted 30 in that pic. Though it was small on my phone.

It's just a team picture, and not the game. They can dress everyone if they wanted.

Would you happen to have a…

Would you happen to have a picture of the original baseball caps the team used way back when? They used a different emblem, before the black M was ever used.

It was an inter woven logo, like the st. Louis Cardinals kind of.

I saw a picture of it somewhere and saved it, but I don't know where that is now. It was on an ad for someone trying to sell throwback college hats. So I'm not sure how authentic it even was.

Wasn't it a fastball right down the middle of the plate? Swing and a miss?

I hope someone comes back here and posts a good pic of him showing off all six.

Can anyone please let me…

Can anyone please let me know if I can sit it front of a TV in Michigan somewhere and watch tonight's game? And if so, what channel?

I don't want to watch on my phone or view a GameCast!

Every listing I've looked up says UCLA plays on ESPN3 at 9pm, and also the Michigan plays on ESPN3 at 9pm.

I am very surprised to see…

I am very surprised to see ANYONE associated with the NFL being critical of the NCAA. The NCAA basically provides a free minor league and developmental program for their premier professional league.

This is like criticizing a lifetime of free meals from someone who doesn't need to provide anything to you but does so regardless.

In the other sports leagues, a minor league and developmental system exists in the US and/or in other countries in some form. Professional hockey, baseball, and basketball can be critical of certain thing. Professional football RELIES on the free system provided by the NCAA.

Whoever this guy is, he should reconsider being critical of a system that provides 99.9% of the participants to his league FREE OF CHARGE.

I think the fail belongs to…

I think the fail belongs to you.

I was criticizing the title only. His explanation about an offer to play football muddies it up more. So... he was offered a football scholarship in addition to the lacrosse scholarship? Ok, that clears it up for everyone. How many scholarships to the same school can he take?

Incidentally, if he was worthy in both sports, it would have been interesting to see how it would play out. He could save the football program 1 scholarship if he took the lacrosse offer. But then I'm sure Harbaugh wouldn't want a QB risking injury playing lacrosse.
