By the time of the final episode of HBO's The Sopranos, former boss Corrado “Uncle Junior” Soprano was hospitalized with dementia in an assisted living facility, consigliere Silvio Dante was hospitalized in a coma, and both Peter “Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri and Albert “Ally Boy” Barese were the reigning captains in the DiMeo/Soprano crime family, but "Paulie Walnuts" was considered an underboss to Tony while Pasquale “Patsy” Parisi was leading Tony’s crew.

Among Tony’s crew, Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero was dead, Christopher “Chrissy” Moltisanti was dead, Robert “Bobby Bacala” Baccalieri, Junior was dead and Furio Giunta was missing in action.

The scene in the final episode of Tony and Paulie seated together outside Satriale’s Pork Store was in stark contrast to a scene from one of the early episodes with many members of the “family" shown together outside the store.sopranos tony and paulie.jpg

If he is good enough for Don Brown (who I am certain knows exactly what he has done over the past couple years with BC), with Jim Harbaugh's blessing - he is good enough for me.

Welcome aboard, Coach Campanile

He was in a Jersey feud with Partridge. Opposite sidelines of powerhouses in the NJ Parochial League.

Like Tony Soprano, Harbaugh got these two to squash their beef.

Just a thought, I don't dislike jay h, but with all the hype of young coaches I think mike hart would be great hire for RB, move jay elsewhere, but I know there are no open coaching spots on offense

This looks like a good hire.  He should work well with Brown, has recruiting ties, looks like he could be here for a while and move up to be DC one day.  I am also glad that they moved quickly after the departures to OSU.

Any word on what role he will fill?

What we need to do is the following.

Double Don Brown Salary for the next contract.

Double Partridge Salary so he doesn’t look anywhere else

Fire Pep and give full control of the offense to Gattis

Give ED a huge raise as the O Line looks 100% better

Partrisge to LB and new hire from BC the DLine coach.

Promote Bush to DB coach.

Hire a new young energetic or very seasoned NFL type position player to be a Analyst.

Give the rock to the WR and let DMac play this year as well as Shea.

Why would you make the guy from BC the DL coach?

His playing career was as a linebacker and safety, his coaching career has been as a DC, Linebackers coach, and secondaries coach (minus a stint at Rutgers as WR/TE coach).

So why exactly do you see it as a good move to put a guy with zero history with DL as the DL coach?

You should put fire Pep/ Let him go on the top of list.

I don't see the logic to boost DB's salary, he has not helped us to defeat OSU yet.

Ed deserves a raise and probably more running game design duties if he has not done so.

Given Bush Sr. has not been hired in the past two years and he had a shot last year in bowl preparation, I think he will be sooner or later gone. We need an outstanding DL coach who can recruits. DL, especially DT, is the key. Look at how Clemson dominates. We need a very good DL coach who can recruit very well. That's hard to come by after we lost Mattison. The one of the biggest mistakes in DL rotation in the past year, may be not letting Gary go inside. We need more disrrupted DT with speed and strength.
