They always come up with some good ones too.
A thread title from Rivals Mom’s basement “Verde1” states: Willikes - Broken fiblua
Willikes had a great year. Feel bad for the kid and I sincerely hope his fiblua will heal.

Great player. Meaningless game that I now guarantee every Spartan wished he would have sat out of
December 31st, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
I was hoping to hear he was going to the NFL.

Saturday ruined any fun I would have at the expense of another team. Maybe if we didn’t get blown out by a shit team.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:50 PM ^
I’d hardly call Florida a “shit” team.
December 31st, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
Is there something in the state of Michigan that makes fan bases scream for new schemes on offense?
December 31st, 2018 at 8:42 PM ^
Yes. If it is a run and you don’t like it it also isn’t modern.
Not saying we don’t have issues, but one can’t just change schemes and make it all better. We are adjustments away in play calling and tweaking a scheme, Not a dry dock and overhaul.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:22 PM ^
The official State offense is Manball.
December 31st, 2018 at 7:35 PM ^
Just watched. Couldn't have watched without Dvr & be able to FF thru a lot. The announcers called it "a slop fest" lol.
Didn't notice Mork scowling too much.
Nice to see them lose...
December 31st, 2018 at 7:49 PM ^
It will be interesting to see which school will revamp their offense going into next year - I hope it’s us.
December 31st, 2018 at 7:58 PM ^
Exhibit A for how we managed to have the #1 defense.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
This is what I’m thinking as well. It’s not to say that our defense was terrible, but in hindsight I don’t think it was nearly as good as the numbers suggested...this mainly due to poor offenses within the our B10 foes.
Which I suppose begs the question: On average, does a defense look so impressive due to it actually being impressive? Or does a defense look so impressive due to the quality (or lack thereof) of the offense’s it faces through the season? Or both?
December 31st, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
I thought some of the stats took strength of opponent into consideration?
December 31st, 2018 at 9:00 PM ^
I don’t know. Some of them probably do but then you get into the discussion of which ranking is the most accurate. Plus, didn’t Don Brown have one of the top rated defenses while at Boston College too? I mean no offense, but I doubt that his Boston College defense would have held up well against higher tier competition. Maybe it would have, but I wouldn’t have bet on it.
I’m just saying that the eyeball test seems to suggest that our defense wasn’t quite as good as we thought it was.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:09 PM ^
You could not have misused “begs the question” any worse than this post. An utterly perfect misuse.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:26 PM ^
Some people list MSU as a “big win” this year. Ha!
December 31st, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
Dantonio must have made an offering to Satan to get that unbelievable fumble luck. I figured that would lead to a victory. I guess the offering wasn’t sufficient.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
I was really enjoying the posts about how Sparty was lamenting their craptastic home schedule next season...
.
.
.
...and then I saw ours. Middle Tenn and Army. Ugh.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:17 PM ^
And ND! Looking at this years results, Army and ND will both be tough games.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
Yeah don’t write Army off. Unless they lose a bunch of players going into next year that’s going to be a tough team to beat.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:23 PM ^
IIRC, they lose just 2. One is the FB.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:26 PM ^
Oh dang. That’s probably going to be a big trap game for us then. I always feel a bit uneasy playing the service academies.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:23 PM ^
It's not a trap game when you are scared about it in December.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:47 PM ^
It could be a trap game for the players by the time that part of the season rolls around though. That’s all I’m saying.
January 1st, 2019 at 3:56 PM ^
IDK... I'm not disrespekting Army rather Michigan should want to play a better OOC schedule. This is really no better than shit scheduling we got from Brandon.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:05 PM ^
Lol!! The hits just keep coming!

Sparty lost...good
December 31st, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
We have no reason to be doing the Sparty thing today and reveling in their loss.
Facts:
1.They came 25 pts closer to winning than we did.
2. Their players looked like they wanted to win.
3: Today’s results did not mark a downward trend in either their season or their programs trajectory.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:28 PM ^
I don’t know if “reveling” is the right word. I’d say it’s more of a “misery loves company” sort of situation at the moment.
December 31st, 2018 at 8:37 PM ^
Well a 7-6 record sure marked a downward trend in their programs trajectory!
December 31st, 2018 at 8:45 PM ^
Their season was downward for sure, but that was baked into the cake before today.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:45 PM ^
eh, it's just things returning to normal.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:07 PM ^
To any Sparties reading this thread. Your mom/sister/aunt/dog wishes they never had you.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:21 PM ^
uhh… this is weak.… they almost won... we didn't...
December 31st, 2018 at 9:25 PM ^
Who gives a a flying fuck about the Sparties other than the week we play them? All their pathetic performance today does vis-a-vis Michigan is make our guys' victory over them marginally less impressive.
Grow up and get some perspective.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:26 PM ^
We are in a position . . . ill suited to be making fun of MSU.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:31 PM ^
10 wins and beat them head to head at their stadium...definitely can make fun of them!
December 31st, 2018 at 9:50 PM ^
Seems mild to the crap that was posted her after the past two games.
December 31st, 2018 at 9:56 PM ^
Any mention of their hero, Kirk Cousins, sucking $84 mil worth of ass?
December 31st, 2018 at 9:57 PM ^
Oh yeah, forgot about that one!
December 31st, 2018 at 11:06 PM ^
Minnesota not getting their money's worth there.
December 31st, 2018 at 11:46 PM ^
Their own damn fault for paying $84 million to a guy who’d never won a single playoff game.
Why they didn’t stick with Case Keenum, a guy who led them within one game of the Super Bowl is beyond me.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:07 PM ^
I’m not so sure about this thread. I like that they lost but they also played their asses off while losing. Albeit that they have a shitty team but we can not say the same.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:15 PM ^
I’d pay to see you say that to Khaleke Hudson or Chase Winovich’s face...
December 31st, 2018 at 10:40 PM ^
Im not exactly sure what saying it to Chase or Hudsons face would do. Im pretty sure behind closed doors Chase and Hudson would agree that the teams defense the last two games was sad
December 31st, 2018 at 10:42 PM ^
Touche. They do love this team more than anyone. Hudson is a captain next year for sure. Don’t get me wrong, there are leaders on this team. Next years team is shaping up to be a good one.
December 31st, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
Who cares?
