Friday before Christmas POSBang

It's the Friday before Christmas and the most non-productive work day of the year.  Office parties everywhere and Michigan fans will be consuming record amounts of alcohol.

It took me longer than usual to get in the "Christmas spirit" until I realized I have more than most. I have my kids and their love and my health.  That's all that really matters to me.  I kept expecting or hoping to get more from my family, my friends, work, anyone but then I finally realized that wasn't realistic or necessary.  I am a giver. It's who I am. Even if I wanted to get more it wasn't going to happen because that's not how the world is.  So now if I am the recipient of kindness from any other person no matter what - a kind word, the wave when you let a car out - it's just the icing on the cake.

Thanks for listening UM fam.

And even if it is the Christmas season, Fuck Ohio.

I am really looking forward to Christmas morning. I am surprising my wife with two tickets to see Corey Hart and Glass Tiger in Victoria, BC in June. Corey is my wife’s favorite singer by some measure, Glass Tiger is her favorite band, and Victoria is her favorite city on the planet (so far).

I am hopeful that it produces some good Christmas banging.

I'm looking at many hours of wrapping presents over the next 2 days.  Not my favorite holiday tradition.  I really could use a good banging.  Merry Christmas to all and make sure to order all your presents with gift wrap!

Well, I took most of the time between the holidays off - I am coming in next Thursday and Friday, however, with the intention of cranking out a lot of design work since that will be mostly free of distractions and, without the phone ringing or people needing things, it is amazing how much you can get done.
