Of course. Need to start a "Goodbye: XXXXX" post series on here.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:11 PM ^
There were rumors from UGA fans all fall that he was miserable here. Didn't want to believe them but looks like they were true.
An absolute kick in the nuts. DT depth goes from bad to worse. And now that's 8 kids from the 2017 recruiting class that have already left the program with Solomon, Hudson, and Singleton all projected to be starters or big contributors next year. This is very bad.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
I guess the only saving grace is that I never really felt like we had Solomon even before this. He was always hurt, sick, etc. I can count on one hand the number of games that I really remember him actually "playing" as a regular rotation player.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:34 PM ^
And this is why I don't really see it as a devastating loss.
Really sucks for depth, to be sure, but it's not like the dude was a game-changer while he was here. He was largely irrelevant.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
Exactly. Ohio State fans are like, 'Who is Aubrey Solomon?" He and Dwumfour were who we thought would give us an elite interior given all the coaches chatter. Kemp, Mone and Marshall should not be playing more snaps than supposed impact players. And considering the little impact we got from Gary in '18, the championship glow was bound to wear off this team at some point. In 2017 it was the turnover chain and the return of the U until they got beat 41-8. Michigan is less fraudulent than those wheels off bunches of Florida schools that rotate good years. 3 of 4 seasons with 10 and hoping for 11 wins this year. Next year will probably be another 1 or 2 loss team, unfortunately barring a heisman like year from Shea and some safeties than can keep with crossing routes and also tackle Martell in space.
Michigan COULD HAVE hung with Ohio State in Urban Meyer's farewell game. If we score a couple touchdowns early instead of field goals we're ahead at halftime. Haskins would have still thrown for 400 especially with Long going out. It's hard to see the D-Line being any better next year without Solomon, but these are kids so hopefully someone steps up. If only Maryland had beat Ohio St the week before and we went to Indianapolis in a close loss or a win. This recruiting class would finish much better and we would be really excited about a top 5 class and a less than stellar OSU class. Until we beat those fuckers is BPONE and hope Basketball can win us a title.
December 17th, 2018 at 4:02 PM ^
This is unfortunately the most accurate thing on this thread....didn't seem like he even even got going just a little bit.
And for the people going nuts, again, about how the game has factored into this...maybe it was, maybe it wasn't....he was part of that demolishing. So if he wants to jump ship after he had a part in that...well ok then, Ill hang around with the guy who will take it on the chin, then keeps going forward with his brothers.
And to the point above, who in his circle thought this was a good idea, this a high chance of being very bad for the young man. Think we will ever know the real reason why ?

Relevant, topically and seasonally. +1
Dear Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come: More DTs, please? (to mix some Dickens)

Not ideal.
Good luck to the kid though.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:11 PM ^
Eh, next man up. He was never all that good for us anyway. But I’m sure this board will go full meltdown like we lost Aaron Donald.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:11 PM ^
Maybe he was perplexed as to the banner changing to basketball.
This seems less than optimum.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:11 PM ^

December 17th, 2018 at 2:12 PM ^
Fuck. You guys laughed at me when I mentioned this last week. Tarik black better not be transferring also....
December 17th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
I guess I've been out of the loop with some of these rumors I assume are being talked about paywalled boards. So Black is considering transferring ?
December 17th, 2018 at 2:24 PM ^
The same rumors last week had both Aubrey and Tarik as "considering transferring" and we know at least 1 of them was correct. So I assume where there's smoke there's fire. People on this board like to dismiss/neg any negativity and/or criticism right away it's not even funny.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:29 PM ^
Gocha,, thanks.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:56 PM ^
Some rumors are correct. But we should also call out those idiot "insiders" who spread rumors that are untrue for clickbait or to just sound "in the know" for a few minutes until proven wrong.
I find > 50% of "insiders" to be morally and intellectually deficient - perhaps why they label themselves as "insiders". Reminds me of leaders at work - 90% who label themselves "strategic" are anything but, when the real strategic people are the ones getting it done.
December 17th, 2018 at 3:34 PM ^
I don't agree with a lot of your posts Damone but DAMN that was spot on
December 17th, 2018 at 6:06 PM ^
"People on this board like to dismiss/neg any negativity and/or criticism right away it's not even funny."
That was immediately true of my first impression of this blog.
Maybe Tarik Black really will be gone soon.

Basketball School
December 17th, 2018 at 2:13 PM ^
When the staff talked about 29-30 recruits in this class it was clear that there would be some transfers that were going to be painful but its hard to imagine a worse option than this.
Between this and seemingly turning over the entire secondary with Hill and Long (supposedly) learning toward going pro Brown is going to have his work cut out for him this year and the offense will 100% have to be better.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:31 PM ^
So we lose Mone and Solomon... and Gary never played inside. Can someone explain to me why Gary didn't play inside? I read this is where the NFL projects him .
December 17th, 2018 at 2:32 PM ^
Let me ask Greg Mattison and DB for ya.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:35 PM ^
Don't forget Marshall, he played quite a bit this year. So we lose quite a bit off our front 4 rotation. Top 2 DEs, although I think the guys behind them will be great. 3 of 5 DTs, ugh.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:13 PM ^
Luckily, our basketball team should be able to push through this bump in the road.
December 17th, 2018 at 9:02 PM ^
Re-read my friend ... "basketball team".
December 17th, 2018 at 2:14 PM ^
Unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised if Tarik followed suit soon as well.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:14 PM ^
I swear this program has the most transfers and decommits in the country. If it's true that we are having a bunch of guys not playing in the bowl game... Kids transferring out...we have serious issues within the program
December 17th, 2018 at 2:25 PM ^
It would be hard to argue otherwise at this point. Our corners are projected mid-round draft picks who could help their stock in the bowl game that are seemingly not going to play. We reportedly have a player who isn't listed on any draft boards considering not playing. That is really not a nationwide thing. That is an "us" thing.
It would not surprise me if there is something more significant taking place with regard to the coaching staff. The radio silence from inside the program is bewildering. Did Harbaugh even address the media after the bowl announcement?
Has the team practiced after the OSU game? (Joking) (But not really)
December 17th, 2018 at 2:32 PM ^
"Did Harbaugh even address the media after the bowl announcement?"
Yes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMOccaZGe1Y
December 17th, 2018 at 2:33 PM ^
That does not take me to a Harbaugh press conference. It takes me to a weird video of a dolphin in a pool. I will just take your word for it that he addressed the media.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:42 PM ^
Dolphin in a pool vs. Harbaugh press conference?
Both yield about the same level of detail...
December 17th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
I honestly can't tell if you are messing with me. If you are, I laughed. I think you copied the link incorrectly.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:47 PM ^
Not messing. I got a You Tube video of a dolphin in a pool. I would retry the link but the five seconds of the video I watched was trending toward weird.

Seriously, wouldn't we all like to know what has happened since the IU game? Cracks showed during IU. Up to that point, Michigan football was the "Good Ship Lollipop" and Magic Kingdom, the happiest place in football. We love our coaches. We love each other. We have the best S+C coach. Our nutritionist feeds us what we want. A month later and sinking faster than the Titanic or more miserable than a Urologist's office the day before the NCAA hoop tournament?
December 17th, 2018 at 4:28 PM ^
The cracks actually started showing when we played Rutgers. They ran for almost 200 yards against our defense.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:14 PM ^
But I thought 5 stars always pan out.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
This post is complete stupidity! Guy got clock as a true freshman and then was hurt this year. I bet he pans out somewhere else.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:52 PM ^
“Hurt”
December 17th, 2018 at 6:11 PM ^
What does that mean?
December 17th, 2018 at 6:47 PM ^
He is trying to say kid wasn’t hurt he was faking it.
As if this guy would know.
December 17th, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
If I were you, I’d call Glamour Shots and get my money back.
December 17th, 2018 at 2:15 PM ^
lol of course he’s transferring. Michigan=worst luck university. Something is going on internally to lose a 5* who will be one of if not the best DL on the team. Unreal.
December 17th, 2018 at 4:30 PM ^
If something's going on internally then it's not luck is it
December 17th, 2018 at 2:15 PM ^
2018 can go fuck itself
December 17th, 2018 at 2:20 PM ^
2016 can do so as well.
