Oklahoma or Texas' resumes do not have a 30 point loss to a team that started 0-3 on them.

10/14/2018 - 2:10am Very fortunate but at least…

Very fortunate but at least they capitalized on it. They had left points on the field with the2 Nordin misses. And Wisconsin did nothing with the ball subsequently anyway. Great win, and not surprising given what we've seen in recent weeks. Now can we clamp down on Felton Davis? Probably not but we'll fare better than most I presume.

10/02/2018 - 11:48pm 2016 Colorado has to be high…

2016 Colorado has to be high on the list. The buffs turned out to be a decent team for that one year. That game could have ruined what turned into an interesting playoff race featuring ours truly.

Interesting side note for fellow Dallas Cowboys fans on the board - Feels weird both our starting corners played parts in these ulcer games in Byron Jones and Chido Owuziea. Ironically the 2 of them, and a 3rd year corner from Purdue, have relegated JD to Dime duty this year (although I think he must have been hurt bc this passed Sunday was his first game action of the season).

10/02/2018 - 11:32am Cody White being out w a…

Cody White being out w a broken hand moves MSU to an 8 from a 6 for me. I thought Lewerke would be one of the better QB's in the B1G after his true freshman campaign but his ball lacks the natural zip of a Shea Patterson, and my eyes tell me Shea has quicker feet. To me that gives us better talent overall at all the offensive skill positions than State. I wasn't sure that would be the case when the year started.

PSU started tackling poorly as the OSU game went on. For a moment there it was like APP St didn't put up 31 on them in their season opening white out and PSU might actually have a defense. I think Michigan can score 30 on them at home coming off a bye and wearing PSU down in the 2nd half. Confidence level 6-7 here for me.

As you said, OSU is no where near as unbeatable as everyone thought 2 weeks ago when they were scoring 65 a game on little sisters of the poor. Haskins is not the running threat of a Mcsorely or Wimbush...or Barrett. I think there is a blueprint to limit him from going crazy. Again, if PSU can tackle on some of those screen plays and YAC's late in Saturday's game, they win. TCU also gave OSU the game similar to how they did the following to Texas. OSU could have 2 losses already. They are still likely the better team but our depth of Paye, Uche, Hawkins, Ross, Ambry, Bell gives me confidence the floor is rising. I can talk myself into a 5 here.

If we lose to Wisconsin, all of this means nothing and we can just hope for an upset of one of the 2 remaining rivals and for Shea to come back next year.

Anyone else find it weird that there is a budget to fly Sam out to Oklahoma, or elsewhere, to interview a high school kid that might come to Michigan? I'm sure there's much better content gathered in person, but who is quantifying the value of getting these hot quotes from teenagers?

The kid must know this Ann Arbor radio guy flew all the way down there and back up north just to talk to him. And we wonder why kids like Aubrey Solomon have these ego's

I hate teams that run no huddle and then stand around clapping and looking around for 20 seconds. And now my teams does it and scores 10 points in the opener. Shoot me.

08/28/2018 - 2:30pm I have to see it to believe…

I have to see it to believe it. The 'freshman receivers suck' rallying cry sort of falls on deaf ears with me when I consider Cody White, Danny Davis, and what Tarik Black could have done if he stayed healthy.

Sorry, I can't think of any recievers in other conferences bc I dont have the stomach to pay close attention to them on Saturdays after a Michigan loss and there were 4 last year; and some lack luster wins. I too am optimistic esp considering Crawford AND Mcdoom transferring. But with Tarik going down again, I am in wait and see mode. The saving grace is that hopefully and improved run game and some RPO's will ensure we don't have games where the offense looks completely hapless for long stretches.

Yea it was almost halftime with under a minute and that was like the first first down after several str8 3 and outs or something. Offense was going no where n he was trying to eek out yards. First year player mistake. Bad time for it cause the offense needed a shot in the arm. Don't see that as a problem

07/13/2018 - 12:49pm Let's see how Harbaughs 4th…

Let's see how Harbaughs 4th year goes. Took Franklin 2 1/2 years to figure it out. Year 3 was looking grim but they finished strong. Harbaugh year 3 finished...not so strong. They won the games they should have and lost 2 inexplicably to inferior teams in an expected down year.

The coaching has gotten us here. And they've recruited this years team that honestly does not have a weak unit. Shea counts too because he could have transferred elsewhere. I mean, it would not surprise any of us to have all big ten reps from every unit. Including running back and o line. Osu and Penn state maybe can have that expectation. As far as hope and faith in the coaching staff putting my favorite team in a position to be great on Saturdays this fall and in years to come, mine is as high as its been in 13 years. Rivals be damned! Go Blue!

07/11/2018 - 12:27pm Looking at Ibi in the…

Looking at Ibi in the you should have stayed bud. He actually was on the court for the final play against Houston. JB was starting to trust the kid some. The way players in this program develop you'd think he could see best case scenario he grows into the best version of himself under Belein and gets an NBA look. To me that sounds better than going to a lesser team for playing time. You've got a 2 year head start on the incoming class.

06/27/2018 - 7:59pm He never really considered…

He never really considered Michigan guys so perhaps the reason he chose msu has to do with voices in the echo chamber around him clearly have something personal against U of M. And if in fact something caused that to happen, he's a human being. It's ok to hate Michigan or have hurt feelings about something. I hate osu and I wad born and raised in Columbus. It happens.

And so naturally, it should be no surprise that he went to a rival. I for one am happy it's not to the one that has had our number for 15/16 years and isbthe final game and determining factor on if any season was actually a good season. I know you all that live in or are from Michigan feel a different hate for Sparty than I do. They were irrelevant to me until about '09 honestly. The only MSU games that stuck in my memory were the braylon comeback and chris perrys 50 carry game. Every play of every Ohio state game in memory is hard wired in my brain since my debates were with those jokers until I moved away in 2012.

06/19/2018 - 5:05pm Going to the natty in hoops…

Going to the natty in hoops was a fun way to get some national attention; especially since the team grossly over achieved and had hoisted 2 trophies already along the way. I was hardly disappointed driving back to Dallas from San Antonio knowing both basketball and football have an exciting few years ahead. In a few weeks the espn hype train will be on and it will be hard for the haters to ignore us having a heisman candidate signal caller when everyone knows it was the slim difference in 4 of 5 losses that were toss ups in the 4th qtr.

They did manage to score 44 second half points. But got no closer in the end. What a magnificent game. It felt like the Sunday game vs Florida after the miracle against Kansas. Comical ass kicking from start to finish

03/11/2018 - 10:55am Torn

Being in Dallas I want the guarantee of going to the two games that would be here but if Mich ends up elsewhere..fate would dictate i just have to wait for them to end up in San Antonio. And while the sweet 16 and e8 games in 13 were my best sports memories probably ever, I wanna watch thwm cut down the final nets in person..and then probably die since we are a basketball school now and that would represent the apex of sports joy a Michigan title. (Still prefer it be on the gridiron)

10/22/2017 - 11:49am I just wanna know whwn Rashan

I just wanna know whwn Rashan Gary is going to start to resemble the top 10 draft pick that all the color analysts insist he is going to be next year. Solid, not spectacular against the run and rarely get serious pressure. I watch him on pass down and he's getting stalemated constantly. I'm not down on the guy but he's not living up to any hype. And Chase Winovich needs to get over himself as well. He was seeing dollar signs earlier this year. Now that this defense isn't the 85 bears..your just a guy that probably wont make any all conference teams. Just beat Ohio state and hopefully Peters or Mcaffrey grab the reins this spring and these receivers become men asap.

09/13/2016 - 12:34pm Why we would expect that plan

Why we would expect that plan to be unveiled in week 2 against a vastly inferior opponent that wasn't threatening in any other way offensively? I think Colorado will be a better indication because they may actually put together some sustainable drives that require DB to use some more of that blitz arsenal.

09/06/2016 - 10:49am Gary's motor was apparent to

Gary's motor was apparent to me. I think iron sharpens iron and he has the talent to start on this loaded unit. By mid season I expect he'll be flashing greatness consistently.

08/27/2016 - 3:27am I respect you felt you had

I respect you felt you had the skins on the wall to be the one to speak up since anyone could claim and if they're right they called it. I have to believe he's right even though I def wanna see other guy who has played and can run. Brian thanked him so at the end of the day we are more informed as of right now than we were earlier (we think); and we can spend our week imagining john navarre playing for harbaugh with a lot of receiving options and a potentially lights out defense. The presentation is irritating to the masses that aren't Seth and Brian, but I'll take it over nothing. Go Blue!

08/24/2016 - 1:40pm Wormley

I was watching the Indiana game on youtube the other night and Wormley was getting consistently reached (and turned many times) by their left tackle allowing Howard the edge for huge chunks. This seems to go unmentioned when discussing the upside of having a 300lb DE that is also quick. When I read this article I was hoping that this would be included in the analysis. Hopefully Dr Blitz/Gary can solve this otherwise we will have an elite defense in all games except for IU and osu again.

11/13/2013 - 4:46pm Texas

I don't hear anyone objecting with the possibility that Saban goes to Texas to replace Mack Brown. This may not be a story much any more nationally, but it gets bantered about quite frequently on slow sports days among the 3 stations here in Dallas. If there is anything to it, I would bet someone in Hand's circle has heard from someone in the know that there is at least a greater than zero chance Coach Saban is not there next year. Hoke and Mattison we can be sure are not going anywhere, unless this years ends like 2010.
