The "try to control the clock offense" was also the "try not to get 3 QBs murdered in the same season again because we still don't have any tackles offense".  I know you wanted to put Andrew Steuber on an island against Chase Young. I've jotted that down. I'm just suggesting it might not have been a good idea.

Does any of this really matter anymore? I used to be a hawk when it came to recruiting. I've seen 5*'s commit, then de-commit. I've seen Michigan pick up a 5* at the 11th hour and this forum going crazy. Same goes for players announcing they will be leaving the program.

Who fucking cares anymore.

Until we find a way to beat Ohio State, maybe more than ONCE EVERY TWENTY YEARS OR SO, I could care less who stays and goes.

Give me a team of preferred walk-ons for all I care. Just practice every day like you are practing to beat Ohio State.

I'll say it. The game is no longer a ''rivalry".

Bla bla bla....two dudes chiming in on something who couldnt get or stay on the field. Sounds more like sour grapes to me.  If you cant/wont practice as hard as the next guy... you wont play

I respect everyone who straps on the maze and blue, but when this shit happens and the background chirping takes place...keep kicking those rocks down the street to your next destination.

There will be more attrition.

Okay that sucks.  This team needed some good news.  Feeling like 2017 redux coming up and this also doesn't bode well for future recruiting classes.  I would assume kids see all the transferring and get the low down from the players themselves.  I would also assume current and future recruiting classes are going to suffer because what the real issue is here.

Can you shed any light on what is really going down? James Hudson just tweeted "what happens in the dark comes to the light" implying something pretty bad is going to come out.

Sounds like he didn’t want to play if I’m reading this correctly,  hopefully there isn’t any attrition from defense because they are thiiiiiiin. Next year especially dline and defensive back all new starters and many spots up in the air on 2 deep. Got to hope Shea is staying so the offense can carry.  Is Khaleke sitting out the Bowl game, hope he’s not thinking of entering the draft early

This hurts more on the depth chart than it does on the field. Yes, would love to have seen him been more productive, but it does not work like that. I completely understand the grind of it all becoming overbearing, but for the ones that crave that, they really succeed under Harbaugh. Look at some of our standouts form this past year. When I see the tweets that come from transfers, that's just them trying to justify themselves in some way. Who cares what they have to say. Some of them cant/wont move on. When we have people on here talking about it in a negative manner, they are doing the same thing. Lets move on.

Its true, not every situation is the same and I am sure that some of our "attrition" is legitimate. But considering I am justafan, I just plan on being as supportive as I can be to the guys we put on the field.

I have said this on here before, Harbaugh worked these guys REALLY hard this year.  Way different than the last couple years.  We can all sit back and think that’s what any player should want and it will make them better, but if you don’t enjoy that then it becomes unbearable.  If you get stuck in a constant state of feeling like crap all the time you could understand why some kids don’t want to be around anymore.

Was Solomon participating in the bowl game practices?  I haven't heard much about them (who's there participating and who isn't).  Just curious with the timing.

How much drama was there with Solomon's original decision?

On talent alone, this is a huge loss. And I won't go anywhere near saying addition by subtraction, because DL is a place where depth is always a plus and he's probably going to find a way to play on Sundays.

But I don't consider this a reflection on the program. Just a young man trying to find himself, making mistakes along the way, like we all do.

Here we are just weeks from one of the more devastating days in Michigan football history. Every piece of bad news feels harsher right now.

We'll be fine.

Age old debate who helps you win more a 5 star with “questionable” drive or a high 3 who puts in the work and runs through a wall? I think the coaches posted a depth chart in the facilities this year and I remember reading there was some surprises on there.  To Me I think this motivational tactic is backfiring I think it lead directly to Walker and Singletons transferring and while the program has won a number of games the team on the field isn’t any closer to a big 10 title.  I guess I’ll throw this out here too that I think Solomon was a player in the Otis Reese flip I still have the pic of them together on Reese’s official visit where Solomon looked like captain of the mean-mugging team etched in my memory.  I think JH is the best coach for this job but his persona is not for everyone as we are seeing.

Really interesting tidbit there I had no idea about, thanks for sharing that.

I completely agree with everything you said. I think a lot of Jim's motivational tactics/Belichik-like ruthlessness and stubborness is wearing on guys. Alex Boone alluded to it when Jim was fired from the 49ers--he basically said guys stopped listening to him because he's so insistent on his ways of doing things and rides them so hard.

Shitola. Aubrey is so talented, plays a position of need, and he seemed like a very solid guy from a tight family. Hurts to lose good players & people.

Best of luck to him wherever and whatever he does.

What is going on inside this program. Never seen so many kids transferring out. Will we have enough players for the bowl game? I see another beat down coming. The offense is going to have to score a lot to pull this game out. Also it makes no sense that Higdon is sitting out. I don’t see him getting drafted until at least the 5th round.

I think it also is worth considering whether players actually enjoy playing for Harbaugh...I seem to remember a Baumgardner article at the beginning of this season (or maybe last) about how Harbaugh was trying to change his approach with the players...becoming more accessible...everything I've heard is that the players LOVE Don Brown but I haven't heard that type of enthusiasm for Harbaugh...but then again, maybe I just haven't looked for it. Regardless, the right question is this: why would a starting-when-healthy DT leave a top 10 team? We can't know for sure, but my sense is culture, given everything else for Michigan is pointing up (yes, up).

Best wishes to Aubrey. Sorry Michigan didn't work out for him.

Now there is room for another recruit. Hopefully Michigan will have a lasting positive impression on him.

Say what you will, Harbaugh is loosing top talent at an alarming rate. If it continues, we show his Khakis the door and pull Urban out of retirement. Problem solved.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the program. He seemed to be unsure about his commitment from the beginning and he probably wants to be closer to home. It’s not uncommon. The bright side is we know Harbaugh must be a helluva recruiter. He managed to get a highly sought after 5 Star recruit to commit to a school that he didn’t want to play for...that’s a good thing, right?

I know Henson is a jerk, but he does have some credibility.  Maybe this gives some insight.  Delete this if it isn't allowed, I'm new. http://gregghenson.com/aubrey-solomon-whats-going-on-at-michigan/
