Nowadays that bit would get all involved fired, sued and publicly shamed and banished for life due to it's depiction of violence against a woman. Apologies would ensue. Sad.

I'm told #Michigan has gained serious momentum in its pursuit (x2) of five-star #Alabama commit Dax Hill. I don't have a crystal ball, but if I did, it's on U-M.https://t.co/AcZoQvnC06

I don't know where this is gonna end up, but it sure is entertaining.

Glad you're entertained. As for how it ends, see DaShawn Hand and Najee Harris
December 12th, 2018 at 11:56 PM ^
And Solomon and Gary, yes?
December 13th, 2018 at 3:59 AM ^
Or Roy Roundtree. Or Karan Higdon. I know...both were not 5 starz, but both were extremely late recruiting flips who had played large roles on Michigan teams.
December 13th, 2018 at 11:57 AM ^
Yes, Comrade, let us bask in the great recruiting exploits of our forefathers!
Have our Truth Department adjust Roundtree's Rivals profile to more accurately reflect the glorious victory we had over the evil empire of Alabama led by notorious mass greyshirter Nick Saban.
December 13th, 2018 at 8:04 AM ^
Which of those did we flip from Alabama?
December 13th, 2018 at 9:20 AM ^
FWIW, Harris never was an M commit. However, from what I was given to understand, if Wheatley had stayed on as RB coach, he was set to flip to M. Maybe Hill was hearing Brown was leaving for a HC job, and him staying may keep him in the fold.
December 13th, 2018 at 9:49 AM ^
I hope it is this
December 13th, 2018 at 8:30 AM ^
Right - how many times have we served as plausible second hat for signing day intrigue to Bama?
December 13th, 2018 at 11:04 AM ^
Really Maizen? From everything we've seen Hill is the antithesis of anyone who wants the spotlight, unless you have access to his twitter? I didn't think so.
This player isn't doing it for the spotlight. If anything, he's upset at being conflicted, or that he might have been too hasty off of whatever Alabama told him as far as Michigan coaching rumors. Not everyone is a primadonna.
December 13th, 2018 at 11:18 AM ^
Nor did Najee Harris. I am not implying Dax is a prima donna. [For Dax - it would be real nice to be on the winning side of the intrigue. Go Blue young man!]
I am saying the press loves the intrigue and I am agreeing with JHumich, I cannot be optimistic based on our past record head to head with Bama.
Also - don't call me Maizen!
December 13th, 2018 at 12:09 AM ^
It would Michigan's Brand on Justice if he comes back.

December 13th, 2018 at 12:01 PM ^
Isiah Hole's Locked On Wolverines podcast is saying this as well. He says that Harbaugh going to ESPN to get on record that he's not leaving UM happened when it did for a reason.
Reading between the lines it looks like someone...*Bama* *cough* *cough*...used the bogus reports from Carter, et al to flip Hill forcing Jim to set the record straight on ESPN. Now Hill is stuck between the two schools.
If I was him I'd be pissed at whoever tried to use that BS on him.
Isiah Hole also said DB isn't going anywhere.
December 12th, 2018 at 10:40 PM ^
I thought that Solomon's recruitment was the weirdest saga I'd ever seen, but this one is coming close.
Still not buying it, but crootin' so who the fuck knows any more. People don't make sense.
December 12th, 2018 at 10:47 PM ^
So I am ignorant. Everything I have read said that Dax's pledge to Bama took them by surprise, that they weren't even expecting it. If that is the case, how does a recruit get the pics that Dax used on his twitter feed to share his flip to Bama? Do all colleges make those images and send them to the kids they offer?
December 12th, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
Yes, those are pictures taken from a visit, it’d be quite easy to edit and send them over to Dax once he let the coaching staff know he was committed.
December 12th, 2018 at 11:23 PM ^
Thanks!
December 12th, 2018 at 10:51 PM ^
I don't know...here's what I'm hanging my hopes on. Dax flipped 4 days ago after all the Harbaugh to the NFL talk. Coach Harbaugh doesn't typically comment on those rumors, but he did 3 days ago. A day after Dax flipped. Now Dax might be wavering in his commitment to Bama?
Not sure that works for everyone. It's a shot in the dark, but that's the way I'm connecting the dots at this point.
Don't care what the issue is/was, just hope it gets resolved and Dax comes to UM where he will be welcomed with open arms.
December 12th, 2018 at 11:00 PM ^
If the NFL made him flip, then certainly Saban being 67 will make him flip back. . . .
December 12th, 2018 at 11:39 PM ^
No way he makes it to 73 on the sidelines. His days are numbered. Book it.

The only one out of those still effective at a high level was Snyder and even that’s debatable
December 12th, 2018 at 11:32 PM ^
Something smells fishy about this whole thing, and if so, I'm just now sure who's playing who.
Two years ago, Najae Harris allegedly ditched his plan to switch to Michigan at the last second. At the time, I wondered if Saban had put him up to this as a way to fire shots at Harbaugh. This year Dax dumps us, then within a few days there is talk of this isn't over? Is this just crootin', are Dax and Saban in on a second long con, or is it Harbaugh and Dax going at Saban? Probably just crootin', but it does seem like Saban doesn't like Harbaugh after the whole camp tour thing.
December 13th, 2018 at 8:49 AM ^
I like the way you think.
Which is a problem.
December 13th, 2018 at 4:04 AM ^
I think it is possible that dax wants to play for d. Brown and that it wasn't unknown that he was interviewing for the temple gig. He doesn't get it so maybe Dax is back(x?)
December 13th, 2018 at 8:51 AM ^
What if Don Brown tries again next year somewhere else?
BTW, I thought that Don Brown was supposedly content to be a lifelong DC. What happened to that?
December 13th, 2018 at 6:22 AM ^
I want to believe soooo bad Don! But I’m with you, I can’t just buy it yet and maybe I’m just jaded by the fact that it is another recruiting analyst from a pay site posting this info. I will say that I think it now is more of a possibility than I thought on Tuesday.
