Brandon Justice just posted this on Twitter “I’m told #Michigan has gained serious momentum in its pursuit (x2) of 5star Alabama commit Dax Hill. I don’t have a crystal ball, but if I did it’s on U-M.”

Did a school tell a recruit Michigan is interested in that harbaugh was leaving for the NFL so he shouldn't go to Michigan?

I bet every single coach in a recruiting battle with Michigan tells the recruit that harbaugh is leaving for the NFL soon. Everybody seems to love circle jerking about the idea of Harbaugh going back to the NFL

Not to burst mine or anyones bubble, but for all we know he could just be using the same info that has been posted on this board earlier...

I know absolutely nothing insiderish. But I completely believe that Harbaugh staying makes a difference, and Washington as a lead recruiter makes a difference, AND YET, I think there is a lot more to this, more that we won't ever know. Recruiting is slimy, and Michigan is fighting to win. Michigan won't do "whatever it takes," but there are people fighting for Michigan who will do a lot more, stuff that stays private.

That’s interesting

1)Saban is retiring at the end of the season and told The recruit that Jim Harbaugh would be signing on to be head coach at Bama whilst bringing his staff with him.

2) Saban told the recruit Jim is leaving for NFL just watch for the media reports and the next day urkel carter drops a big mouth poop on the same subject

Only one of these secenarios is facetious immature or developed while wearing a tin foil hat.

I told you guys on the decommit thread don't sleep on Dax.  He comes from an excellent family and is a perfect M fit.  That being said don't freak out if he goes elsewhere.  Such is recruiting.

OUR CHECK CLEARED!!!!!!!

Apparently Alabama is trying to flip OSU Safety commit Jordan Battle which is suggestive that Dax is coming back to UM. This could also be why that OSU insider put in a Michigan crystal ball for Dax

What a fucking head scratching turn of events. If Dax flips back to Michigan within a week of Flipping to Bama then this will be even more absurd than Solomons Fuck Michigan incident

Slightly offtopic but I just went to TideFans alabama football board to see if they were saying anything about this Dax flipping back to Michigan thing and the top post on their board was arguing that Alabama and Nick Saban put more of an emphasis on education than basically every university not named Stanford. FUCKING WOW. How delusional can they get

I wish that were true.

But IIRC, listening to Sam Webb sometime this summer on WTKA, he said that the hard part about  this PARTICULAR recruitment is that if there is one plausible hole that Alabama actually has right now, it's at Safety.

So yes, one major trump card Michigan can USUALLY play against Alabama for top recruits is that with Michigan, there is a clearer to path to early playing time.  But at least as of August, that is not necessarily the case for this one.

Now, maybe as the 2018 season unfolded, Alabama has found their answer at Safety for the next 1-2 years.  So it's possible circumstances have changed & we can still play that card.  But as of August, that was not really the case.
