Commit Watch is on!

Evan Petzold from Wolverines Wire tweeted a few minutes ago that we are on commit watch and that this one is huge. My guess is Harrison is pulling the trigger.

When the tide is turned on OSU (next year?), all of the players on that team will be enshrined on Michigan's version of Mount Rushmore.   Multiple wins in a row will keep them in post playing speaking engagements for the rest of their lives.

We lose Gary, Winovich, Mone, Lawrence and probably Bush, and one of Long or Hill,  but with this recruiting class, and the guys in the wings (no pun intended) we might be just as good or better.  I'm assuming Gary and Winovich were hurt and losing Bush in the middle of the game didn't help at all.  I don't think we'll ever find out but there had to be a reason our D didn't get the job done at OSU.   Something like Devin Gardner's broken foot or Speight's shoulder.  MLive published an article that said even after the OSU game our defense was #1.  Not a great consolation, but something was off.

Hard to say if the Defense was off. Lot's of guys hurt or playing through things at this point in the season. I think the sacks were off because #7 did not hold on to the ball long. He zipped through progressions and was able to connect on quick releases knowing the UM defender was tail-piping the WR. #7 knew if it was a crossing route, middle hook or pivot route and got the ball out fast. Hard to get sacks or even coverage sacks when the QB is not waiting for a play to develop downfield. There were 4-5 options on every play for #7 and he did not have to go past #3 at all if ever during the game. That makes it hard for a DE or twisting DT or stunt from the LB(s) to get home.

I'm not sure I care what the sign was on Ambry Thomas in a man fucking coverage scheme. Ambry is almost or is the fastest guy on the team on his top end. That means he's running with those receivers better than Watson. There's no maybe about it. Ambry might or doesn't know all of the defense yet or isn't an ass kisser to certain coaches but he still is better than Watson in that game because he's way faster. You can take your technique status and shove it up your ass tooif you're taking the coaches side on this. You'll hear that Ambry is still raw and his technique is terrible. Well, if it was any worse than what kept happening on Saturday then I would shutup but I'd be hard pressed to believe it. This staff needs to start playing their younger talent that has better speed. If they aren't descent in their technique and knowledge of the defense in year two, THEN THATS ON THE COACHES. Plain and simple. Watch, Ambry will be out there next year and we'll all be wondering why the fuck wasn't he playing last year.

If MSU can have an elite defense without all the talent we have then Don Brown should have no issue making Michigan elite even if they lose a bunch of guys

Might be time for Don Brown to rethink his defensive scheme considering we get torched every time we face a good offense

If Harrison commits to us after Saturday's pant-crapping, he's a resolute young man.

I hope we hang on to guys like Daxson Hill after that shitshow—have to believe that Alabama and Clemson are saying to him "why play for those pretenders in Ann Arbor—come here and play for real champions."

Where'd you see this?  I just checked his twitter and there was no mention other than a "thinking emoji" and a second tweet that said "I may end up being pretty wrong on this one."  I don't see any mention of Harrison but I could have missed it.

It would be smart if the mods kept just one of the Kingsbury OC thread up so people stop posting. Expecting people not to post that when they don't see it on the board is dumb, no?

Not the same as a Kliff Kingsbury only thread, but a pretty good discussion about scheme and Kingsbury was talked about.  There's also a Jedd Fisch diary post which should be on the board, but I left it up so people can talk about Fisch if they want.  It isn't like all content about possible coaching changes have been deleted.

I think it is crouch.  Giles Jackson said it was a 2019 on twitter. Dont think its harrison bc I saw an article saying frames janklin was doing an in-home with him.  Dawand Jones and Keegan have decision dates for december.  It's been a quiet month for WR targets and Deloach just did an in-home with Taggart. Harbaugh will see deloach this week tho.
