12/15/2018 - 12:29pm It says something about…

It says something about something that we only graduate 1 scholarship Oline Man and are bringing in 6-7 OL recruits.

Also speaking of Ike, I wonder if one of the other OL commits may get pushed out  or has been thinking about greener pastures. Because it does seem strange to take 7.

What about Darius Robertson  the TE/DE that we seem to want at TE

12/08/2018 - 8:39pm Have to assume this came out…

Have to assume this came out of nowhere for the coaches too, seeing as we haven't put out any new offers to DBs recently. I think that's the most painful part, it's only 11 days to early signing day, doesn't give us much of a chance to replace with quality.

This is the definition of a dong punch.

12/06/2018 - 11:22am UM - OSU, MSU

MSU - UM, PSU…

The 2 protected games for each team:

UM - OSU, MSU

MSU - UM, PSU

OSU - UM, PSU

PSU - OSU, MSU

(that way the top 4 teams in the conference always play each other, so no easy road for these 4 teams)

MIN - UW,Iowa

Iowa - Neb, Min

Neb - Iowa, UW

UW - Min, Neb

IU - Purdue, ILL

Purdue - IU, NW

ILL - NW, IU

NW - ILL, Purdue

But that leaves Rutgers and Maryland with just each other, so lets just kick them out of the conference please or just make them play each other twice.

12/06/2018 - 11:18am I have been thinking about…

I have been thinking about how the B1G could drop divisions too, because they are so unbalanced, they need to go.

I was thinking each team plays 2 protected rivalry games, and then a rotating schedule for the other 7 or 8 conference games(if we stay at 9 or go to 10 as the OP said). That way we would always play OSU and MSU.

I started making a list of the 2 protected games for every team, it was really easy to find 1 for every team, but had a harder time finding a 2nd team for most of the West and Maryland and Rutgers.

Whew! Thank God we held on.

Have to say I'm a tad annoyed with Brian. Northwestern always plays us tough at home in basketball, I know this, you know this  Brian should know this. In the preview and more so on the podcast this week, said NW would be no trouble at all, easy win. As I was listening to it, I'm thinking "seriously?". Brian did the exact same thing with the Indiana football game this year. Predicated a blowout, and I'm just wondering how he has forget about the past few years? Indiana always plays us tough in football .

Who is ready for them to have a Fickell style down year and then bring in Tom Herman? Just so the damn trend can continue of falling backwards into great coaches.

I prefer 48-9 in their last 57 games, including both postseason runs and the last regular season game in 16.

His dad is Jon freaking Runyan and ppl doubted him? Some people are not intelligent. And I am including recruiting rankings who had him way too low with those bloodlines.

Washington is going to jump 7 spots in 1 week? No chance. The Maryland loss eliminates Texas.

Congrats Devin for sure.

I'm reminded of the day he committed.

My older brother is a huge FSU fan, got his degree there and is friends with some boosters there. The day Bush committed, he told me that they didn't even want him because he was too small. He implied that they stopped recruiting him and that's why he fell to UM. I told him he was full of shit and Bush looks legit. Going to text him now and rub it in.

11/27/2018 - 4:23pm No matter has had me more…

No player has had me more intrigued than Vilain the last 2 years. I really hope hes fully healthy by spring, and hope he does not decide to transfer as some have mentioned. We have had pretty good success with DEs under Mattison, but none of the WDE we have brought in were at the level of Vilain in HS. So I just cannot imagine with Brown/Mattison can do with someone like him.

11/26/2018 - 2:27pm His commitment has seemed to…

His commitment has seemed to be a little mysterious.

Do you think the staff sees Dawand Jones as a replacement for JBB? Big big road grading RT

11/26/2018 - 2:19pm Has to be Dewand Jones the…

Has to be Dewand Jones the big OL. I wonder if that means Keegan is going somewhere else.

11/25/2018 - 3:35pm Do you understand what the…

Do you understand what the word "established" means? We came into this year with our best WR having 12 catches for 155 yards, what part of that screams "oh we have to be a pass heavy team now!" to you?

Just saying if you looked at the returning pass game vs returning run game coming into this season, it's pretty easy to see why Harbaugh thought we needed to lean on the run this year. Not stating what I think is the best way to go, just saying what I think Harbaugh saw.

11/25/2018 - 1:57pm Are you serious? DPJ had 12…

Are you serious? DPJ had 12 catches for 155 yards last year. Black had another broken foot. As I said  no established WRs coming into this season.

11/25/2018 - 1:44pm I said before the season,…

I said before the season, when Harbaugh is looking at what he has for the upcoming year. We did not have an established WR before this season. Luckily we have 3 going into next season.

11/25/2018 - 1:18pm I like to believe also that…

I like to believe also that Harbaugh tries to adapt the O to the strengths of that years team. Going into the season he looks at at strengths and weaknesses.

This year we had a senior workhorse RB, we had a 5 guard OL who were much better at run blocking than pass pro. We had a new QB. Thatbnew QB is a pretty good runner too. We didn't have any proven WRs and not much WR depth after all the transfers.

So you look at all that and you think, ok we need to be a run first team this year.

Looking at next year and it should be the opposite. Lose the senior workhorse RB, have 3 established junior WRs, a better pass pro line, either a 2nd year Shea or 3rd year McCaffrey at QB. If Harbaugh doesn't become a pass first team with that? We are hopeless for any change or adaptation going forward .

11/25/2018 - 1:09pm I think Harbaugh just wants…

I think Harbaugh just wants to control the clock and shorten the games. Even though we have a strong D, he still wants to limit their snaps , give them less chances to blow an assignment and give up a long TD. I don't necessarily agree with that, but you can see yesterday, even our great D can get Fd up.

Do you have proof the sun will rise?

11/24/2018 - 4:35pm Your last sentence is the…

Your last sentence is the most painful part.

Seth made the FFFF for the OSU offense on Tuesday and in it he included a diagram of their staple offensive play, Mesh. Seth from Mgoblog knew that was there staple play that we needed to stop. Did our 2 million dollar defensive coordinater not know that somehow? What was Brown working on this week? Jesus Christ

Either Don Brown is a bad DC and he can't stop crossing routes

Or they are an indefensible play and we should probably run one this decade.

I know it's not the first choice

Are you completely serious with those 3 offensive play calls coming out of Halftime? Gtfo with that

Coming from the guy who clicks on posts about topics "he doesnt care about" just to leave his 2 cents that he doesnt care about it. Sounds like a party animal to me.

11/20/2018 - 2:34pm You don't care about…

You don't care about basketball or MSU right now, but you still felt compelled to click on a post about both of those things...... The mind boggles

11/19/2018 - 3:35pm In the same segment  Cowherd…

In the same segment  Cowherd also said Brian Kelly very well might go to the NFL. And if he does John Harbaugh would be the #1 name for ND as a replacement. Also said John could be a candidate for USC. His sources say John would be very interested in a big time college job if him and the Ravens part ways.

Huge grain of salt and lots of what ifs, but it would be a pretty insane world if Jim vs John was happening in college next year, 6 years after they met in a Super Bowl.

11/17/2018 - 9:19pm It's really crazy. Just…

It's really crazy. Just considering how many good high school players are in the state, and all the good ones go to UF, FSU and Miami or go out of state. Usf and UCF get the leftovers.

Definitely speaks to how poor the coaching has been at those big 3 schools recently

Wow, can't believe you said that....

After the game I went out and got some Popeyes fried chicken and biscuits, and I just turned on my ps4. Great minds think alike? Or something like that

Totally forgot about that one, which is embarrassing because I went to UCF....

11/17/2018 - 8:09pm #15 Texas vs #16 Iowa State…

#15 Texas vs #16 Iowa State also going on, but on the Longhorn network, so I seriously doubt anyone here will be watching that. But that does mean atleast a 4th top 20 will lose.

11/17/2018 - 5:35pm Because being down 1 instead…

Because being down 1 instead of 2 right now would change so much right?

11/17/2018 - 5:30pm Who does Devin Gil have dirt…

Who does Devin Gil have dirt on? Seriously. How is he getting so much playing time over Ross? Feels like more than half the plays IU gets a chunk, I rewind and see Gil at fault

11/16/2018 - 1:16pm I want to be more scared,…

I want to be more scared, because we always play crazy games against Indiana but...

In Big 10 play(excluding Rutgers because they are Rutgers) they have given up an average of 38.1 pts per game. And there wasnt like a 70 pt game that distorts those numbers. They have given up 35,49,42,33, 38, and 32 pts in their Big 10 games(gave up 17 to Rutgers fwiw)

So that means we should score atleast 30 pts, probably closer to 40, and there is no way they are getting close to that against us.

11/15/2018 - 6:29pm Looks like Diagonal Blue is…

Looks like Diagonal Blue is right, 3 Crystal Balls for Amauri Pesek-Hickson to UM today by Sam Webb, Steve Lorenz and Allen Trieu.

I trust this staff obviously, but it is funny just today we were speculating on how they were going to fit a couple more of the elite kids we are in on for this class. Now they would need to find another space to fit Pesek-Hickson.

11/15/2018 - 6:23pm Bumping this post to give…

Bumping this post to give the OP Credit

Just saw 3 Crystal Balls were put in today for this kid to UM. Sam Webb, Steve Lorenz, Allan Trieu aka 3 very credible sources. Could this be the commit watch Giles Jackson was talking about? We will see

11/12/2018 - 5:21pm I think Magnus is hinting at…

I think Magnus is hinting at this, and I have been thinking it could happen: Decommits from some of the lower players in this class.

If we bring in 1,2, 3 more big time DL commits, might see a guy like Newburg or Woods looking elsewhere. Might even be necessary with how big this class is getting. Good problem to have for UM though

11/12/2018 - 5:16pm SIAP above, did not have…

SIAP above, did not have time to sift through all the comments so far but

I just want to point out the 2019 SDE rankings by 247 go like this(for the entire nation):

1. Zach Harrison

2. George Karlaftis

3. Natahn Pickering ( Miss State Commit)

4. Chris Hinton

If we ended up with 3 of the top SDEs in the nation, that would be absouletly insane. Just getting 2 in 1 class is insane. Lets GO

11/11/2018 - 12:31am Starting back court through…

Starting back court through 2 games, 2-17 from the field, woooooof.

Expected so much more from Poole .1-10 against 2 badly over matched opponents. 0-6 from 3, so 60% of his fg attempts have been 3s. Why wouldn't someone tap him on the shoulder and tell him he is way more athletic than these 2 bad teams, attack the rim!

Not sure how Z regressed back to early 2017 Z. It's like he forgot how well he played in March, attacking the paint and getting to the bucket when the defense didn't respect his size.

11/10/2018 - 2:25pm I didn't see this post…

I didn't see this post before I posted basically the same thing below. +1 for you

11/10/2018 - 2:22pm UF getting blown out at home…

UF getting blown out at home by an unranked team for the 2nd week in a row. Can't wait for them to fall all the way to #18 in the CFB rankings this week

11/09/2018 - 11:40am Good to see all of you have…

Good to see all of you have forgotten about our record vs OSU and don't have the PTSD that I do. Also what else is there to do during Rutgers week but speculate? Why not plan for the worst case just in case?

11/08/2018 - 11:09pm I was very close to posting…

I was very close to posting last night about NC State. Because I was trying to figure out why they were ranked 14th and I noticed their last 4 games are pretty easy. I was going to post that they would be one of the worst 10-2 teams ever. They still will be 9-3, the 3 teams they have left are a combined 5-20.

Based on recent acc bias by the committee, Ill be curious to see where they fall to. It better be 23rd or something atleast.

11/08/2018 - 6:38pm Your last paragraph is a…

Your last paragraph is a great point that I accidentally left out of my original post. There were only 12 defensive players in this class, and 10 of them are major contributors. Crazy high hit rate.

11/06/2018 - 11:52pm All the comments about the…

All the comments about the SEC and ACC being overrated are completely true.

Besides the obvious ones already mentioned(UF, LSU, Kentucky) I think the biggest one might be Mississippi State. Tell me how they are the 16th best team in the country? They played 3 good teams this year(the 3 I just mentioned actually) and lost to all 3, scoring a total of 16 points in those 3 games. Their best win is I guess 6-3 Auburn, their 2nd best win is over 5-4 Texas A&M, their 3rd best win is over La Tech.

They will get killed by Bama this week, but since its Bama they will only fall a few spots. So next week we will have #21 ranked Mississippi State that is 6-4 with no good wins, love that SEC bias.

11/02/2018 - 12:07pm Cam Brown the LB is the same…

Cam Brown the LB is the same size as Nico Collins, that's super weird. Imagine Nico Collins playing LB

10/30/2018 - 8:06pm In a realistic world, we…

In a realistic world, we want Bama to win out and that eleminates LSU and most likely Georgia in the SEC title game.

But in a best case world, we would want Bama to lose to LSU but still make the SEC title game(LSU lose again) and then lose in the SEC title game. That way we could be in a playoff that didn't include Bama, which means we would have as good of a chance as anyone.

10/28/2018 - 1:37am So that means the east minus…

So that means the east minus Michigan is 6-7 versus the west .
