I bet JJ ends up going top…

I bet JJ ends up going top 10. Too many teams need a QB.

I think Mike Disner deserves…

I think Mike Disner deserves to mentioned as well. Him and Spielman were the football hires that identified and made the Campbell and Holmes hires.

It probably doesn’t win but…

It probably doesn’t win but I think the Marquise Walker TD reception vs Iowa should be mantioned.

With Wilson and Johnson…

With Wilson and Johnson leaving, what about full time wideout?

This is a great summation of…

This is a great summation of the a lot of the issues under Hoke and the differences we see now. Like the 27 for 27 game, they didn’t seem to coach to the game. I think we see this go the other way a lot too like Kyle Shanahan vs the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Water finds it’s level. It…

Water finds it’s level. It may have taken a little but he’s had plenty of chances since then to prove he was more than one great idea that he went all in on and had great success with. He hasn’t and he’s back to where he would’ve been without the read option.

Kienholtz seems to be the…

Kienholtz seems to be the guy “insider” guys are talking up. I saw some stuff insinuating that he’s the reason McCord left.

Good thing getting him as a…

Good thing getting him as a transfer is it’s harder to transfer after the first one now.

There’s a lot of good…

There’s a lot of good options but Candle from Toledo seems like a really good fit. A lot of the Mac coaches get that one really good year and parlay it into a P5 job. Sometimes it’s fluky. He’s shown sustained success at Toledo and has deep recruiting roots in the place you need to be in order to be successful at MSU.

The 2021 defense was pretty good too, pretty close if not better than 2016.

Was it the PTSD that caused…

Was it the PTSD that caused her to wait 8 months to make the complaint? Just a coincidence that he went from Spartan hero to contract albatross in that time?

Your memory deceives you. It…

Your memory deceives you. It was Stoney and Rob Parker, Beligian was later. Larry Sorensen in the morning, I think you are right about VEW, and Mega Man in the evenings. Henson and Regner had the Saturday afternoon sit-in.

I agree but why should…

I agree but why should Ishbia’s gift to cover Tuck’s salary be considered a donation?

Michigan high school…

Michigan high school basketball has been pretty mediocre for awhile now (20 years?). Lots of different arguments about why. Death of the PSL (steady decline since the State takeover in the 90s) seems like the biggest factor. MHSAA and their archaic rules factors in pushing talent elsewhere also factors. It’s been killer for the Mid-Major programs in the State that used to routinely send teams to the tourney.

Seems like a good…

Seems like a good advertisement for Day and his offense, that he can make you look like a top 5 pick despite some serious flaws.

Right should they have had…

Right should they have had their scholarships revoked with zero evidence that they did anything wrong? What’s the morality in that?

He’s a Pioneer and Michigan…

He’s a Pioneer and Michigan grad

We couldn't handle the crown…

We couldn't handle the crown in the field.

Nah, it was bad basketball,…

Nah, it was bad basketball, he was in inefficient ball hog who had a cool nickname and some nice highlights. Not a coincidence his teams never won anythin, he played losing basketball.

Exactly. Give Pete an…

Exactly. Give Pete an asterisk for chucking it 40 times a game.

Gattis isn’t a popular guy…

Gattis isn’t a popular guy here but he was part of the turn around. They haven’t missed a beat since he left and it was always a question of how responsible he was for the offense but that 2021 team was the one that turned it around and he was definitely a large part of it. Blaming him for the culture doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Max Kellerman was right

Max Kellerman was right

I don’t subscribe but Sam…

I don’t subscribe but Sam seems way more entertaining and connected. EJ Holland types are a dime a dozen. So what if he is more pessimistic about a player that doesn’t choose Michigan? Is that what you’re paying for?

Todd Day and Mel Tucker?

Todd Day and Mel Tucker?

PFF among others had Sauce…

PFF among others had Sauce as the best outside corner in the league not just rookies. He was special and will probably run away with the award.

It’s Western, you have to…

It’s Western, you have to find the guy that’s a couple years early or the coach looking for redemption. PJ Fleck had a pretty thin resume before he was hired. Not only was Jack HC but John has got to be their most famous football alumn.

I really like our ‘22…

I really like our ‘22 reciever class and would be very hesitant to recruit over them and risk losing them ala Frankie Collins.

They do/will, but they are…

They do/will, but they are in the CFP no matter what.

I thought Weiss was more the…

I thought Weiss was more the passing guy and Moore, Hart, and Harbaugh are the brain trust for the running game.

Why didn’t our receivers eat…

Why didn’t our receivers eat up their dbs?

I’m fine with his politics…

I’m fine with his politics but I thought his show was dangerous snake oil type stuff. I agree though I have no idea who watched his show and to call them morons is reductive and unnecessary.

His whole thing was he didn…

His whole thing was he didn’t want to come up with a canned td and let the excitement of the moment find the call. Yesterday any excitement would’ve been feigned, that was a really bad team. I’ll be interested how he sounds for better teams and bigger games.

Re: NIL - Doesn’t it feel good as a fan to know he can come back and make money? It does for me. He doesn’t have to make a call between his education and his career. He can come back and do both. I love the NIL world. It may not be the boon to Michigan athletics and our “money cannon” that many thought it could but it makes it easier for me to support college athletics.

I wouldn’t define a guy with…

I wouldn’t define a guy with a .567 true shooting % as a volume shooter. That connotes low efficiency and he wasn’t. For a guard those numbers are very efficient. Also his ~90% from the foul line portends to a guy that may be an even better shooter than his other numbers show.

The Lakers job seems like it…

The Lakers job seems like it would be miserable. Westbrook is unmovable (maybe Wall but that doesn’t help) no assets or no cap space to get better, an older team getting older. And with Lebron and AD you still have the pressure to win. IF Pelinka survives to make a hire he is on the worlds hottest seat and most likely you’ll be looking at a new at a new GM who didn’t hire you in a year or two. Type of NBA job you want is the Pistons. The heavy lifting of the tank is over, trajectory is up and you have guys that he can still mold and grow and look like they are having fun.

Not impossible to improve…

Not impossible to improve accuracy. Josh Allen was pretty inaccurate in college.

Definitely April fools…

Definitely April fools. Granted a medical year for a season he started 29 games and averaged 31 minutes.

Is it officially Martelli… Is it officially Martelli who will be coaching? Saddi has seniority.
The ability to collaborate…

The ability to collaborate is a huge plus as a coach. It may take him a bit to find the chemistry that he found with Harbaugh, Moore etc. but I’m confident Gattis will be a good OC in the future.

You don’t single him out but…

You don’t single him out but I wouldn’t worry about Foote and recruiting. As Seth points out he really cares about community, particularly Detroit and is pretty beloved. The way Michigan could get him is the opportunity to help mold young people.

They have a freshman QB who looks like he could be special.
