We still had a great season

10-2, with losses to 2 NY6/CFP teams. Yes, the last loss was bad, but we still beat PSU/MSU/Wisconsin and also had a top5 defense otherwise. Today was a total anomaly.

But go ahead, keep being upset at the program and where things are at. Today was a bad day, but the sun will rise tomorrow.

Getting the shit kicked out of us by OSU = bad season. Not beating OSU since 2011 = bad season. Anyone who is pissed with todays outcome is not an entitled bitch. Anyone who is accustomed to and accepts todays loss is a a bitch.

Don't bring logic into this board full of mouth-breathers. Today was a horrible afternoon and they played like crap, but this team accomplished a lot this year. Honestly, only the 1st half of ND was really bad.

No you would not and you know that. The loss was disappointing and we should all be upset about it but a 10-2 season in which we clearly separated ourselves from the upper middle class of the conference with several dominant wins >>>>>>> a 2013-esque season that gets the GW 2 point conversion against OSU.

Take my chances.

It's clear what the 18 years has done to expectations.

And I suspect there's a generational divide. Those of us that remember the 70s to 90s feel differently than the younger crowd which automatically labels a 10 win regular season as "a great season."

I like to think Fielding Yost and Schembechler would've smacked the latter fan in the face.

The OP is here talking like this game never happened. Pathetic showing on offense, defense, ST, and coaching. In year 4 of Harbaugh. Michigan is about to draw a phenomenal team in the bowl game and if you think were winning that game, may god have mercy on your soul

no we didn’t, we lost to two of our biggest rivals and we end up with a meaningless bowl game again.. no big ten title, lose to OSU again in embarrassing fashion... we suck

We'll still be able to get to a NY6 bowl (I don't see OSU getting into the CFP unless they beat the hell out of NW and OU looks unimpressive vs Texas).

You should see what's going up in East Lansing, where they're having issues with Rutgers.

do you think I honestly care about what is going on in east Lansing??? I work for a company and I’m designing a job for MSU but I don’t give two fucks about them.. to me MSU has always been 1 game on the schedule.. ND and OSU are a different animal and we lost to both of them OSU we were embarrassed.. you don’t give up 62 points in the last game of the year I’d youre good.. we suck again and it’s getting very hard to watch “THE GAME” on thanksgiving weekend.. I’m in my basement while the rest of the family is upstairs happy..

we suck and we we are only two or three more years away from this being  the norm. If it isn’t already

Just throwing this out here... between 1969 and 2006, Michigan only lost fewer than 2 games in 8 seasons.

That is nearly four decades where two losses were the norm.

I really don’t know why people get shit for wanting the program to strive for greatness. Yeah 10-2 is a good season. But who cares, at the end of the day we will have won nothing. Again, good season, But I’d much rather be great.

Because this board is full of a bunch of losers who have so whole-heartedly based their identities around their status as Michigan Alumni and Michigan Football fans that they are incapable of reconciling their own arrogance with the reality that Michigan itself is nothing but a giant moral victory. Meanwhile non-Michigan people still get good educations, hot wives, good incomes, make positive world contributions, and win "The Game".

fun fact, no you wouldn't. You'd be a whiny petulant little bitch for the entire season and when we beat OSU you would say "who cares one win doesn't change the fact that it's a shitty season." You know why? Because you're a bad fan.

Oh that's my favorite homer's lament, the old "You're a bad fan" accusation. Because you're the judge and jury of what makes someone else a good fan or a bad fan?

The UM athletic department loves fans like you. Keep filling the stands so they can keep their overpaid, underachieving head coach and make money. Let's not hold this program to the standards they used to be held to. You know, like winning a conference title now and then. We haven't won a Big Ten Championship since 2004, that's okay, it was still a good season. Stop it.

The standards they used to be held to? Like blowing some midseason game to Iowa or whatever, winning the Big Ten but then losing to literally anyone from the Pac-10 before finishing the season ranked 9th in the country?

Woo boy, yes those years were INFINITELY BETTER than this one.

and yes, I think fans who get no joy whatsoever from the teams they follow are fucking losers who are doing it wrong.
