Any reason for concern with Harrison visiting Columbus campus today? (Per 11W)

I realize he lives literally a "stones throw away", but just came across this, so thought I'd share

Could be to tell the staff in person of his plans

IIRC, he's had this visit planned for quite some time.  Not sure if it's an official, but we've known for ~2-3 months that he would be at the stadium for the game as part of a visit to OSU this weekend.  I don't know why all the ruckus because he's there today?

I'd like to think that he's cancelling his official...

Obviously he hasn't sent his LOI to Michigan, so there is always "reason for concern" with recruits of his caliber. He will be pursued by the Who's Who of college football until the day he arrives on campus for his chosen school. That said, Michigan appears to be in excellent shape - I'd imagine he's just observing prep week for a big time college football match-up. There's rarely a sure thing with highly sought after players like Harrison.

Frames Janklin wants to bail and go to USC because he there's no more Joe, Saquan, and Trace. If he's smart, he'll bolt otherwise he'll be fired in the next 2 or 3 years.

Urban has "issues" and looks like he won't be around much longer based on reports.

I know you're supposed to commit to the program and not the coach but if you're a top 5 prospect you want the best coach to lead you. His top 3 has one coach who looks like he'll be in his current job long term.

He just wanted to talk to one of their team captains, who happens to be a d-lineman . . . oh wait, never mind.

Maybe he wants to see if Meyer knows who is going to replace him as HC next year.

No biggie - It's like when you get a free vacation at a time share, you have to sit through their spiel. He gets free tickets to The Game but has to schmooze a bit first. He's going to root on his new teammates on the OSU dime - Go Blue!

Serious question—if he is a silent commit, what would stop him from going to their practice and reporting straight back to Harbaugh what he saw?  May sound crazy, but it’s the kind of edge I would be not at all surprised to learn that Harbaugh sought.

That reminds of a B grade formula Action movie where the bad guys capture the good guy and go on to lay out their evil plans in great detail.  Minutes later, the good guy unexpectedly escapes and goes on to ruin the evil plan.

My point is that your question is as dumb as the thousand movies following the formula above.  Meyer isn't going to hand this kid a playsheet with an explanation of when and how they plan to run those plays.

Probably wondering where the stench is coming from.  Sorry Zach - air freshener not going to help.

The only cure is going a few hours north, where the air is fresh and the women are beautiful!

Yea he is visiting OSU lol... he hasn't committed or signed paper anywhere yet, Harrison could still literally end up anywhere.  That's probably why he is visiting.

I still don’t think he’ll come to Michigan. And Sam’s CB indicate something clearly happened in the last day or two and I’m assuming that prompted OSU staff to reach out and have him over today. A wise man once said (paraphrasing) you win the recruitment when the mother is on board, which does not jn any way shape or form appear to be the case with Zach. Either way I just want the team to win on Saturday.

My only concern is that Zach find a place that's the right fit for him.

Of course, I'm glad to root for the team he likes because he likes the other recruits/ players, rather than the other one.

Well, apparently a teacher at Harrison's high school feels he's coming to play for Michigan. Someone posted that information on one of the OSU forums.

The teacher said that Harrison is a real good kid, but she won't be able to root for him once he goes to Michigan.

Though I guess we won't really know until he commits to us.

Zach, do you want to play for a defense that gave up 51 points to Maryland? Or do you want to play for a defense that gave up 48 points combined to Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Penn State?

Come on down, Zach Harrison. Or up in this case.
