Gosh I’d love to see that. Put W back in the “pac”.
September 21st, 2018 at 10:34 PM ^
I think they will. Iowa has the nation's #1 defense according to s&p+, not to mention the pink lockerrooms. This feels like a dangerous situation for Wisconsin.

Paul Chryst is 7-0 ATS following a previous week loss . We shall see !

An acronym.

Against the spread.

At some point you have to assume some knowledge on behalf of your readers. For example, the post you call out also says 7-0 without explanation. I'd imagine there are people who might read that without knowing what it means, but it is reasonable to assume that most people on a sports blog will know what that means. Similarly, it seems reasonable that people reading a thread on betting might be familiar with a term used in betting. Further, you take him to task for not typing out three words, when you could have typed three words into Google "meaning of ATS" and gotten the answer.
September 22nd, 2018 at 9:36 AM ^
That is something you’d say, Sydney....
ATS is an extremely popular abbreviation used in the betting world

Yea I've got Iowa in my head/heart to win this (I am an Iowan and live here) but the more I think about it the more I feel that they don't follow the gameplan that BYU empoyed last week and they somehow piss it away tomorrow.
September 21st, 2018 at 10:30 PM ^
No disrespect, but you might go 1-5 this week. Now I'm thinking about putting money on the opposite of each of these picks.
September 21st, 2018 at 10:52 PM ^
No disrespect at all. Just like to generate discussion . Anyone looking at the Texas-TCU game ?
September 21st, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
I think TCU is clearly the better team but it depends how they come back from the OSU loss last week, I personally think Texas is awful but I'm sitting that one out. I have:
Miss St -9 @ Kentucky
Alabama -26 vs TAMU
Oregon +115 vs Stanford
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:36 AM ^
TCU to cover
I think the only one of your best bets you win is the over on the EMU game
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:27 AM ^
Report back Mr. wieseguy!
September 23rd, 2018 at 3:48 PM ^
2-4 I was close. I really thought 1-5 was going to happen. Eastern game even went into OT and no cover.

This reminds me of going to Vegas with a friend. We went to the bookie and made bets. Then we go to a bar to watch the games. It turned out we had bet on the opposite teams (using the spreads). Then realized we are losers and should have bet each other because regardless the outcome, we are losing money. Vegas! [shakes fist]
September 22nd, 2018 at 1:22 AM ^
Then go play blackjack and get it all back. Or lose your bankroll.
September 21st, 2018 at 11:19 PM ^
Minnesota +3 v Maryland
TCU -3.5 v Texas
NCST -6.5 v Marshall
September 21st, 2018 at 11:47 PM ^
Urban is going to run up the score. I'd take OSU if I could bet.

Why do they get preferential treatment? Two reasons 1) They don't police themselves and 2) $$$ they bring in means others don't want to police them
September 21st, 2018 at 11:57 PM ^
Lock of the week.....
Troy -6 over LA Monroe
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:56 AM ^
"Tory" - lol.
September 22nd, 2018 at 3:59 AM ^
Inability to edit typos on posts is annoying. You would think the tech people could fix this.
Looks like a good bet as long as the Trojans do not get a negative bounce from their victory in Lincoln.
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:30 AM ^
Nebraska +18 is a great bet. Can you really see us winning by more than 2 touchdowns tomorrow? They are a desperate team that is throwing the kitchen sink at this game. I think we escape with a 6 point win.
Edit: Never been so happy to have been so wrong!!!!!
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:36 AM ^
I see us winning by 5 touchdowns...
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:50 AM ^
Do they have a line for who 'outhit' the other team?
September 22nd, 2018 at 6:57 AM ^
I wants me some of wherever you're seeing this.
September 22nd, 2018 at 9:30 AM ^
Hope so brother. That would be a lot of fun.
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:41 AM ^
Hudson being out a half sure won’t help. I see it being around a 17 point Michigan win, maybe 31-14 but we’ll see
September 22nd, 2018 at 7:52 AM ^
31-17 with Martinez
38-7 without Martinez
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:53 AM ^
Off topic but I have Colts +6.5 on Sunday. I hate it when I think a game is a lock.
September 22nd, 2018 at 6:58 AM ^
Hate is such a powerful emotion.
September 22nd, 2018 at 9:38 AM ^
I bet the Colts with the points too.
September 22nd, 2018 at 12:53 AM ^
Indiana will cover and hopefully win
September 22nd, 2018 at 7:55 AM ^
Home team getting 6 points. I like this one too.
September 22nd, 2018 at 9:57 AM ^
Heard on a podcast that the sharps have been on MSU all week especially when it was around 4.5/5 but of course that’s just what sharps have been thinking and can be wrong. Dantoni has a poor record ATS in the road when MSU is favored
September 22nd, 2018 at 10:59 AM ^
You must have long term memory issues.
The “sharps” are the guys that put tons of money on Michigan in South Bend - enough to move the line 3.5 pts which is nearly unheard of.
September 22nd, 2018 at 1:03 AM ^
MSU is maybe 60/40 to win that game, at all, 6 points is a lot.
September 22nd, 2018 at 1:15 AM ^
I like GA Tech with the points, Wiscy -3 and MSU-IU over 48.
September 22nd, 2018 at 2:21 AM ^
Barring some really fluky or crazy stuff happening, Stanford is going to walk all over Oregon.
Chip’s Ducks are long gone. I’m honestly shocked the spread is only -2/-2.5 because Stanford is probably 10-12 points better on paper.
September 22nd, 2018 at 6:06 AM ^
Minn/Maryland under 48
Georgia / Missouri over 61
georgia -14
Zach Smiths Enabler -37
troy -6
September 22nd, 2018 at 7:23 AM ^
I never bet on Michigan games (even the spreads, or over/under). I'm not a good "businessman" and I am too emotionally invested in the games to be impartial. That said, the18 point spread against a seemingly improved Nebraska team (despite being 0-2, some shit luck in close games imo) - That is one game I would take Nebraska to cover...if I could bet on Michigan games.
I want a 40 point blowout though...so just can't do it, can't separate the head from the heart :(
September 22nd, 2018 at 7:55 AM ^
Take the Patriots on Sunday Night. Belichick is 17-1 in games following a double digit road loss. That, and the Lions are straight up rancid.
September 22nd, 2018 at 7:55 AM ^
I also think Wisconsin goes down. I also take osu to cover. They will win 63-10. Take the under in our game if you must bet on your own team (never do).
September 22nd, 2018 at 8:03 AM ^
I took Tcu and over parley
clemson -16
indiana -6
Iowa straight up money line
