POSBANG! B1G opener

Conference play is upon us. Early flight to Detroit from the west coast with my boy to witness a valiant victory! I love making these memories. Go Blue!

I hope Martinez can play near 100%, because I don't want Frost to have any excuses!  Win big, win with cruelty - don't stop until they pull their starters out first!  Make Frost surrender!!!

The one who has given up only 47 points total in 3 games and has a huge pick six and some other INT's to boot? We will be fine. Garbage time touchdown to SMU was a joke. Theeeeee Mighty State of Ohio college has given up 62 points so far. 31 has been given up to Oregon State too.

I just want to see a focused team that is ready to play. Hopefully that team is Michigan.

Indiana is going to beat Sparty.

I think tomorrow is a huge game for State.  I think it is 50/50 right now whether that team rallies and is a tough customer for the rest of the year or that they tank and have significant issues all season.  LJ Scott has appeared disinterested, making me question why he came back, and I think they are another loss away from some significant locker room problems.

Unlike a lot of other people, I never thought they were good last year and thought instead that they benefited a lot from some fortuitous occurrences that lead to directly to wins they would not have otherwise had.  A bowl win against a terrible opponent without their starting QB also played into a narrative of vast improvement I did not think was evident.

Mike Valenti said late in the summer that he thought this could be "the most talented team that Dantonio has ever had."  I did a double-take to make sure I heard what I thought I did and sure enough he repeated it.  That is what State fans were expecting and I thought it was very clearly fake news.  If they do lose tomorrow, I think their season could go to a place that no State fans foresaw.

They got a lot of run out of the fact they returned a lot of players but a lot of those guys are just average joes. They have one or two nice pieces on each side if the ball but overall their talent level is just average.

They'll play tough and probably disciplined against us but if Harbaugh somehow loses again to MSU with a superior roster, I'd consider that a huge disappointment. I don't put much into the theory that they'll just get better and beat us. That is how a good portion of UM fans think.

Looking forward to some crisp fall air and some great football. Hopefully Nebraska brings their A-game and we show them how far away they are! B1G Football baby! Michigan-Nebraska. Leave your BPONE at home and #GoBlue!

We'll probably see some really interesting offense played tomorrow...by Nebraska.

I hope this is like 2006 (I think that's the year...), where Lloyd ran like 90% of the time against the first two opponents, then unleashed the passing game vs ND.

The season "begins" tomorrow. It's a crucial game for so many reasons, but playing "WELL" and getting a "W" could create a collective belief, for both the players and fans, that propels this team to big things. (especially if Martinez plays the whole game). This seems like one of those games that teams and media speak about later in the season...the one where things "turned or clicked." That's how I see it in the big picture. Yes, the stretch of Wisconsin, MSU, PSU will be brutal and the hump that this team needs to jump (as well as OSU), but it starts tomorrow.

We also need Shea to have a "Baker Mayfield" type of game like last night. One where Harbaugh opens it up to get the offense rolling so the players and fans "BELIEVE."

I've been looking forward to this weekend for a while; first day of fall, perfect day to be at The Big House. My girlfriend is heading to Florida for the weekend, so I'll be going to the game with a buddy, then another buddy is heading to A2 to hang for the night.

I'll be there with bells (and Maize) on! Go Blue!!

The wind is beginning to pick up here and I am just hoping that I don't end up having to work tomorrow, although I did make arrangements with someone to use the tickets just in case.

Nebraska has me nervous. Martinez is dangerous against an over aggressive defense like ours. They played Colorado very tough and were embarrassed by Troy. We need to start fast and not let them hang around. They are a hungry a prideful program.
