Inaccurate and incomplete.
....and missing the number of stars, amirite???
Also missing the number bluey ballz predictions.
And YOU would know...AMIRITE?
Someone's mad on the internet.
I'm so glad you consistently point out the wretched state of our recruiting as eventually it will sink into Harbaugh's head and he will start to recruit better just to make you happy. Phew!
Ok, well done. That gave me a good laugh.
Want to enlighten us as to what’s missing then?
Or just be a condescending prick?
You're not familiar with the legend of bluey?
O Boy are you in for a treat!
Are you always this fun to be around?
This is the equivalent of commenting "fake and gay" on a Youtube video in like 2008
Hahaha accurate.
Give us the full Bluey board then...
I imagine this comment was posted with Cheeto-stained fingers as "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails played in the background.
Lmao, you win the internet today.
Also, in my version there is a picture of a girl taken, without her consent or knowledge, that doesn’t even know Bluey exists, as the wallpaper of his iPhone 4 that he does all his research and posting.
Over/under on the amount of days until Bluey catches a ban?
I'll say 3.
Serious question for the board. What's your explanation for accepting commitments from all these guys.
They wanted to play for Michigan and Michigan thought they were good players?
I don't know what you're asking otherwise.
Haha, good one.
Your mother should have thrown you away and kept the stork.
Honest question - what answer did you want?
Ah crap, I should have checked the name before responding. Didn't realize it was Bluey.
I don’t understand what you’re getting at? They’re from a previous class and most of them didn’t end up at Michigan. They performed well at camps and were given a chance. David Reese has done outstanding at Florida so good for him.
Harding committed to Hoke, first of all.
Second, none of these guys signed with Michigan. So who cares? What this is supposed to prove? That Jim Harbaugh is a bad judge of talent because he took commitments, then recruited better guys and processed the ones he wasn't as high on?
Harding did commit to Hoke, then stayed committed to Harbaugh for 10 months.
As for your 2nd question, I'd say it proves Harbaugh doesn't exactly exercise good judgement when it comes to deciding who to accept commitments from. He has a habit of saying yes to any and everyone who comes to campus. Tosses out scholarship offers like candy. Those guys were just in 2016. Anyone else remember Chase Lasiter, Anwuan Johnson, and Carter Dunaway?
But if he then processes them, what does it matter?
Harding stayed committed to Harbaugh, but every recruiting insider said he wouldn't be part of the class. Harbaugh couldn't publicly rescind the offer, so it was up to Harding to announce what he was going to do whenever he was ready.
Harbaugh was rightly criticized for accepting commitments, then pulling the offers. He stopped that practice shortly after the 2016 class was signed.
A lot of coaches do this. It seems like the nature of recruiting these days.
Ironic that you left out guys like Mckeon, Evans, A.J. Dillon, St. Juste, Metellus who also were very lightly recruited but either shot up the rankings after they committed or look very promising.
This isn't rocket science in what Harbaugh is doing. A lot of camps haven't taken place yet, senior years haven't been played, and recruiting sites are still evaluating players. Its clear Harbaugh recruits guys with a lot of potential, but knows when to move on if they don't develop the way they are supposed to.
Also, I sure hope Blue Balls over here is so negative because he wants someone to address his concerns, because if his idea for fun is lame ass attempts at trolling on a message board, it doesn't bother me although I feel really sorry for his life.
Completely agree. Jim Fucking Harbaugh obviously has no idea what he is doing. If only he would hire an obnoxious teenager that spends his free time littering every thread on this board with the same drivel over and over. Better yet, maybe you could just replace him and get those 5 Star kids that are just sitting there and waiting for someone to say the magic words and then they will come to Michigan.
He doesn't want to generate discussion, man. Just arguments. He enjoys making people upset online, which is funny, because whatever person is sitting on the other end of that username is one of the saddest dudes I've ever seen. At this point, if we're going to respond, we should comment something like "get a life". Maybe if we say it enough times he will.
The only response to him should be "You are getting mad on a sports message board." Either ignore him, or post that.
Reese led Florida in tackles and 2nd in TFL as a RS FR.
Weaver started 5 games for Pitt as a RS FR.
Falcon was no longer a take when he got injured again.
Enis had off field problems but was a talented RB.
Scott didn’t qualify at Marshall, so that’s also a big reason he wasn’t a take to UM. No saying his play on the field.
Vic was wanted as a LB, no saying how that could have worked out had he started there.
Harding committed to Hoke effectively (day he was fired I believe) when he was a highly regarded prospect; was a mid 4 star at one time.
Richardson made 3 starts as a true Soph at Maryland.
so it seems some were better regarded than their rank
Don’t ruin Bluey’s hot takes with actual insight, damnit.
Come on SC, this definitely does not fit the Bluey narrative. It’s almost like every one of those guys played better than their ranking (save those that didn’t see the field for, uh, reasons).
What?!
Outside of Reese literally no one played better than their ranking.
Weaver is most definitely out performing his ranking, he was the first non-QB taken in the Pitt spring game and the team/fans think he will be great. The rest there are legit reasons they haven't worked out and Space Coyote gave a good breakdown. Plus, even your prized 5 starz aren't 100% hit rates. Just going by 2016 top 10, Eason lost his job and transferred, Paterson was a mixed bag and according to Ole Miss fans was losing his starting job, and Ben Davis has played in 1 game at Alabama. For the top 10 players in the class, that's 30% who hasn't done much at all.
"Legit reasons they haven't worked out"
LOL
Viramontes-Michigan wanted at LB, he has kept trying to make QB work
Falcon-Injuries, Michigan realized and put him on track for a medical before his senior season
Enis-Legal issues
Scott-Qualifying
Harding-Not a Harbaugh recruit and stayed "committed" while he looked for another school
Richardson-Played as a true sophomore and started several games but couldn't stay healthy
Every player who is healthy and playing on a college team is exceeding their rankings.
Thank you. Note that JH continued to offer Falcon as a medical. Falcon declined and then was injured quickly at his new destination. WMU?
Wasn’t that the year we got Rashan Gary? That class had a pretty good ranking.
Camp offers, increase the spotlight on camps: "if you camp, you can earn an offer no matter what bluey sez", increase the players profile so he can get better offers even if he probably won't stick with the class.
Because David Reese was a player they liked, they didn't have room to EE him so he went to Fla. but you probably would say his offer wasn't committable.
Reese is starting at MLB for Florida. Weaver had several sacks for Pitt last year as a backup. Richardson is projected as the starting SS at Maryland. Harding is projected as the starting MLB at Illinois.
Enis had off-the-field issues. Falcon had injury issues, and he was kindly told Michigan wasn't interested after he hurt his knee again (and he was recently medically DQed by WMU). Viramontes was a flyer as an ATH.
Sir Patrick Scott is the only guy with no known answer for why he's not contributing somewhere.
I'm not really sure what to think. I usually don't buy the 'trust the coaches' talk, except Brian's articles have cast some doubt on the reliability of recruiting rankings given the industry's collapse/reorganization. Maybe Michigan really is snagging 2015's 4 stars in 2018 3 star (and below) clothing. Another thing not usually mentioned is Don Brown's fairly savant-like ability to nail down the right guys who fit his system; this is usually reflected in sharply upwards recruiting rankings after Michigan makes an offer. On the other hand, 3 3-stars at about the same time as a big recruiting weekend doesn't look too great.
Coaches are only as good as the players they have. Ask Rich Rod, Hoke, Borges, Nussmeier, Drevno, and every other supposedly highly regarded coach who was came here with a good reputation.
So Hoke only had 5-7 players while a year later Harbaugh had 10-3 players? Hmmm, interesting.
Dabo, LITERALLY has his nuts tickling your tonsils right now.
Then Dantonio must really suck as a coach with his recruiting classes typically ranked in the upper 20’s and 30’s.
bluey, this community does not want to hear your opinion, yet you don’t care and feel the need to continue to offer it. why are you here? are you in that much agony that everyone else does not see things with as much negativity as you do? can you explain what is your point in continuing to act with so much negativity? do you take pleasure in making this experience worse for almost this entire community?
