I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, Mean Joe, but those are the ghosts of koalas who are stuck in purgatory.
From that angle, I can’t tell anything about font, so I will take your word for it.
a Michigan man better be the first player to score in these new zones.
Looks nice!
Not all change is good, but this change.... is good.
Looks awesome.
Looks good. Now let’s win some games.
This is going to look so good...can't wait for the season to start.
yeesh. I remember the good ol' days at ferry field where there was no branding in the endzone... wheres the tradition?!
jokes aside it looks really sharp
Color looks great. Any overhead shots circulating yet?
wow.... looks great....I never liked the plain endzones, despite the long tradition.... am glad to see this... are both endzones to be the same ???? or does the other says Wolverines?
This is what I was hoping for. "Wolverines" is unique to us, we should flaunt it!
Those blue endzones would make me want to visit them more often just sayin
I love this!!!
Bring on on the mascot!!!!
JUST A JOKE ?
Purdy Blue end zones!! I'm ready to see them in action on September 8th!!
Go Blue!!!
Fugly. Sorry, but I prefer football played on real, green grass.
Not at low points in the Huron watershed, you don't
With all of the drainage problems in this region and the location of the water table in most spots around campus, FieldTurf is the better option.
Doesn’t really matter. A good dewatering system and a membrane could solve it, and while it is done all the time for basements and parking structures, it isn’t unheard of to employ the same system in a stadium. And it isn’t that expensive. The athletic department just chooses to spend their money elsewhere.
I love grass too (both kinds). I think baseball and football should always be played outdoors on natural grass. However, that doesn't preclude me from saying that those blue end zones look damn sweet.
When I heard 'Blue Endzones' I was a little nervous. I am not a fan of strangely colored footfall fields. Since it was just the endzones, so I was also cautiously optimistic.
I think they look awesome! Sharp. Classy. The blue needs to be dark, because it will definitely fade.
That is nice, clean look.
yeah, they're sexy
I hope the reason it doesn't look centered is just the camera angle? Also hope new turf is less plastically/shiny-looking than the old one and that they toned-down or eliminated the fake mower contrast.
Otherwise: Love It!
Really don't like the Nike font.
(ducks)
I’m usually a traditionalist, but I think those look pretty awesome.
We should celebrate the new look with some badass lettering around the outside of the stadium. (I kid, I kid)
What's the industry term for lettering like that? It's a halo, right? Seems worth a try.
SEXXXY
Love it. Go Blue!!!
Please tell me WD hid in one of those bags over the weekend to get this picture.
Here are a couple shots a friend of mine posted on facebook the other day.
This must be a mock-up or something. The actual looks much better.
Gotta be fake. Old font and the old white/blue goalposts. Those were changed to the standard yellow goalposts last year. (Maybe year before?)
Is your friend's name MSPaint?
Those aren’t the actual new end zones.
Someone just photoshopped the old endzones blue to give people a general idea of what they will look like.
That's what the font SHOULD look like.
Awesome! I always loved the blue endzone in bowl games
Who are the Chefs.....
Sorry. Dating myself.
They look awesome!! I’m so ready for this season.
I LIKE IT!
As much as you advertise constantly for Nike, WD, I think it's only fair that you give full disclosure to the MGoBoard of your pay and commissions earned as Nike spokesperson.
I don't hate it. But I don't like it. It certainly won't keep me from attending or watching, like overuse of alternate uni's would.
Empty window dressing. Just win.
Wow! Looks aMAIZEing!!
Here is an official image of the new field. I think it looks great!
I like the different font on the numbers as well. Looks sharp.
Great catch. They put the yard numbers into the Victors font as well.
Love it. Should've happened a long time ago.
Looks fantastic!
The turf looks like a shag carpet from the 70s.
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see a game on it!
