Eurmax tents are great quality and they sell replacement parts. We have have a few 10x20 tents of theirs for tailgates and they are still like new and we tailgate every home game. They also have sidings that are very easy to put on. You can find them on amazon.
They have different levels of quality. We use the pro level.
We probably won’t buy another brand. A lot of people stopped by our tailgate to ask us about our tents and said they are getting one for them.

According to Michigan's website the gates open 2 hours prior to kickoff so they should open at 2pm on Saturday.

If you went on a golf course from State St that would be UofM's golf course not AAGO.
Pioneer may be sold out on Park N Party but as of now there will be cash sales on Saturday. Last home game they announced pass only for Pioneer on Friday early afternoon on Ann Arbor Public Schools facebook page due to the grass areas they park cars on being too wet.
If you want to still try for Pioneer in the morning just follow Michigan Event Parking on facebook/twitter or you can go to their website michiganeventparking.com this evening to see if there are any updates.
Have not heard of any closures yet but it is still early and I have heard there they got a good amount of snow in AA this week.

Nevermind. Ann Arbor Public Schools posted on facebook that Pioneer will be only passes on Saturday. No cash sales.
Wow parking is going to be horrible for all without season passes.
I don't see anywhere where it says Pioneer is pass only. They don't sell enough passes ahead of time for any game that prohibits cash sales on gameday. Just some games like this one the lot will fill up alot quicker.
michiganeventparking.com just says all passes will be honored even if they close the lot to public at a certain point. They haven't posted anything on twitter or facebook either to change that.

1. 36 and male
2. All of them. Attend all home games and tailgate all day. Attend 1-2 away games each season.
3. Never get grief. When we were dating I told her if she ever gave me grief for a Michigan football game we would be done. I ask for 8-9 entire Saturdays a year and the away games I ask for 4 hours per game to watch. For the remainder of the year I do things she wants to and work my other hobbies and wants around her stuff. We now have 2 kids and have been together for 15 years. Never once had any issue about football games but now she likes to tailgate and go as well.

They are starting cash sales at Noon. Anyone with a season parking pass for Pioneer is able to get in at 11am. So get there at noon and don't worry if you see people parked already.
|10/08/2018 - 3:12pm||For Pioneer the park n party…||
For Pioneer the park n party just guarantees you a spot. They will probably still have cash sales on Saturday but it will be full a lot quicker with the golf courses closed.
When our group decided to leave the blue lot we were considering the golf course but got a reserved tailgate spot at Pioneer instead which has turned out to be a great decision. No stress on gamedays as we have our three car spots in the same spot to set up our tailgate every week no matter what time we show up.

|08/30/2016 - 11:43am||Tailgating!||
My weekend routine normally means leaving the St Joe area Friday after work with the wife and heading to the east side of the state to a buddies place where we stay the night. We get to our tailgate spot (this year Pioneer) around 7a and do a full set up. Eat, drink, watch gameday/other games then head into the stadium in time for "Baaaand take the field". After the game go back and make another meal at the tailgate, drink, watch later games and then head back to buddies place. Head back to St Joe on Sunday midday and do it all over again every game.
In the Rich Rod years we would leave the game pretty early and go watch the rest at our tailgate because I would get sick of the negativity in the stadium and would prefer to smoke cigarrettes and drink beers while watching the game. Since the Hoke era we have basically stayed until the end of the game.
|02/29/2016 - 2:22pm||I agree completely that it is||
I agree completely that it is a leadership thing.
'08-'09 - CJ Lee and David Merritt were the leaders and the succeeded
'09-'10 - People thought this team would be great because Manny Harris but he wasn't a leader and they had lost their leaders from the year before with no one to replace
'10-'11 - Stu Douglas and Zac Novak step up as leaders and the team improves
'11-'12 - Same as the previous year
'12-'13 - Burke, McGary and Jordan Morgan become the leaders
'13-'14 - Stauskas, Morgan, McGary, Spike
'14-'15 - Spike (No leadership from anyone else)
'15-'16 - No Spike due to injury, Irvin & Walton should be the leaders but are not filling that role very well.
I see them needing someone like a CJ Lee, Novak, Burke or McGary that will step up and lead the other guys on and off the floor and that is what they have been lacking last season and this season and feels similar to the '09-'10 season when Manny should have been the leader.
Coaching can only go so far you also need to have players that want to be leaders.

I like the piped in music only because we can't hear the band in my section which is in the Southwest corner of the stadium.
On every survey I have gotten from the AD the last 5 years I have always said to move the band into the endzone of the Student section. This way the band is pointing south and the majority of the stadium will be able to hear them without having the mic the band up. However I do believe when they poured the foundation in that area years ago they did so to accomodate the band so it might not be as easy as just moving them a section or two over.

|09/01/2015 - 4:31am||I rent out for my seats every||
I rent out for my seats every year. I like it because I don't have to carry my seat cushion around with me or remember to grab it before leaving the tailgate. Also it acts as a seat saver since it is fixed to my seat. I don't mind the little extra money but I buy in before the price increase in August.
|08/24/2015 - 3:12pm||As we heard the student||
As we heard the student athletes supported Dave Brandon but the next home game after the Minnesota debacle my tailgate in the Blue Lot put up two signs on our canopy.
One read "Fire Brandon" the other one read "We Support the Players."
During that tailgate we had multiple non-revenue athletes come up to us and thank us for the support and really appreciated the sign. Through their tone and demeanor I took every one of their comments as they weren't happy with Brandon either but they couldn't say that.
This is just what I took away from it. I am sure there were plenty athletes that supported Brandon but I am sure there were quite a few that didn't care either way or understood the fan bases' issues.
Just thought I would throw this out there.

You are probably correct. The 03-04 season I had tickets but I also interned at Yost so I was working alot of the games. Either way the parents had been there prior to that year for at least 3 years since my first game was in 2000.
|02/23/2015 - 9:24am||The parents were moved to the||
The parents were moved to the other side of the ice near the penalty box somewhere around 2005 or 2006.
I was a student from 2000-2004 and the parents were behind their respective benches every season I was a student. I believe there were some altercations between away parents and students that cause the move to the other side of the ice.
I had been to almost every home hockey game from 2000-2011. I moved away from the area middway through the last season before the renovations were made. I actually attended my first game since the renovations this past Sunday. My impressions is the renovations seemed to make Yost quieter which was dissapointing to me.

I believe they are just closing the Green Lot which is the UofM Golf Course Clubhouse parking that is accessed from Stadium Ave due to construction at the club house. The green lot has been a permit only parking area for a while.
I am sure the UofM golf course parking (not to be confused with the AAGO parking) that you enter off of Main and State Streets will still be available on good weather games.

|10/14/2014 - 11:28am||I differ on this one||
During my years at Michigan were the first couple years they had the validation fee to resell tickets. While I didn't like it at the time I think it is a good policy.
I would rather see UofM drop the price of tickets for Students to $10 per game and keep the validation process. This way any students that want season tickets can get them and you don't have to students that could care less buying season tickets and selling for a big profit. This is why they instituted this policy in the first place because some students that wanted tickets couldn't get them because they sold out and yet many students that just wanted to make a quick buck got them.
My senior year when I needed an extra ticket I would buy from a friend and go validate it so the person I was bringing didn't need to bother with it. Any students selling now can just go to the ticket office and validate before selling them.
|10/01/2014 - 5:29pm||I am good with that. If||
I am good with that.
If Brandon is canned prior to when the seat licensing fee is due I will renew my tickets for another year regardless of Hoke. If Brandon is still around at the end of January I will probably drop my season tickets.
For the players sake keeping Hoke around through at least the OSU game seems like a good move (assuming no repeat of sending/keeping an injured player in).

|08/14/2014 - 3:36pm||PSD will be $150||
I can almost guarantee they are going to make anyone that takes this deal pay the PSD by January 31st 2015 just like the rest of the current season ticket holders.
To me the only reason your first year PSD was not required is because you already donated the $500 (now $150) to get on the list.
I highly doubt that they would consider the tickets bought this year as the donation for next year. If that is the case they will have some pissed off current season ticket holders next year unless our PSD is waived as well.

|04/18/2014 - 4:34pm||When I was a student I don't||
When I was a student I don't remember having to pay for season tickets for football, basketball and hockey all before leaving for the summer.
I believe we only had to purchase football in the spring and then the hockey and basketball season tickets were to be purchased by the 3rd weekend in September in the fall.
This might be a part of the problem as it was much easier to justify some amount in the spring and then have some money to buy either hockey or basketball tickets in the fall.
But overall I think the price of $295 for student football is way too high. Needs to get back down to a maximum of $195.
