One very big difference is that FSU knows that Auburn is likely the best team they've played all season (I say likely because it's possible they're no better than Clemson), whereas Ohio State assumed the victory over us clinched the national title.

I have no logical reason whatsoever to say this but I'm going with Auburn. Statistically FSU should run up and down the field and have the defense to contain Auburn, but with Auburn's fluky wins this year, I say they keep it within a possession all game long and win in the final minutes.

Oh, trust me, that talk has already started down here. Tallahassee is just a stones throw away from Georgia, and right around the corner from Alabama, so there are a lot of Georgia and Bama fans around here. They are already making excuses for the impending doom that is finally upon them. They're claiming that FSU is basically an SEC school, built like an SEC team, with SEC players. Just three months ago, before the Clemson game, they were all talking about how FSU would lose 4-5 games if they played an SEC schedule. The 180 degree turn they've made concerning FSU has been a real pleasure to listen too because they sound like idiots. All of them.

17. Fuck off, SEC.

Edit: And fuck off to SEC homer ESPN, who will no doubt have some excuse (like with Alabama) as to why Auburn couldn't get it done.

One the one hand, you've got kind of the matchup you had last year, with one team eviscerating everyone on their schedule and the other needing a couple miracles to get into the NCG.

On the other hand, Auburn is clearly much better than Notre Dame was.

So I don't know, man.  But I'll take FSU anyway.

on this board and predicting an Auburn victory.  Auburn has the team of destiny feel to them this season.  Also I think Malzahn is a better coach than Jimbo Fisher and will figure out a way to win this game.  FSU has a definite talent advantage over Auburn but I think the difference will be the Auburn rushing offense and Winston finally making freshman mistakes.

EDIT -- final score Auburn 45, FSU 41

FSU by 14-17+.  Lost in FSU's offensive fireworks is a top 3 defense in the nation.  I think other than the BC game they pretty much demolished everyone they played - most teams they beat by 30 pts or more.   I know Miami and Florida are not great teams but they handled them like MSU handled UM - or worse.  And they made Clemson look like Purdue.  The Duke team they demolished is not a bad team either.

Probably the lights will get to them early but once they settle in I think they win running away.

Auburn's rushing attack and dumb luck will keep this game closer on the scoreboard than it should be, but FSU's quality will win out in the end.

I don't see a blowout, but I do see a convincing win and one of the few teams in the BCS era with a legitimate right to say their National Championship is more reality than myth.
