Not much different than most.

Auburn 45 Florida State 21.
I'm getting a Ohio State 2006 vibe from the Seminoles.

One very big difference is that FSU knows that Auburn is likely the best team they've played all season (I say likely because it's possible they're no better than Clemson), whereas Ohio State assumed the victory over us clinched the national title.

42-28 FSU.
Someone needs to shut the mouths of the SEC braggarts.

FSU is not South East in the tradional sense though. I don't know about you but when I think about SouthEast states and colleges I'm usually thinking about Missouri.
January 6th, 2014 at 11:38 AM ^
Honestly not trying to ask a dumb question but how do you get southeast out of Missouri, especially compared to Florida?

The same rationale that puts Rutgers and Maryland in the Midwest.

He could mean that he doesn't consider the state of Florida "the South" in a cultural sense. Although, using that logic it would be hard to see Missouri in that way either.

Oh, trust me, that talk has already started down here. Tallahassee is just a stones throw away from Georgia, and right around the corner from Alabama, so there are a lot of Georgia and Bama fans around here. They are already making excuses for the impending doom that is finally upon them. They're claiming that FSU is basically an SEC school, built like an SEC team, with SEC players. Just three months ago, before the Clemson game, they were all talking about how FSU would lose 4-5 games if they played an SEC schedule. The 180 degree turn they've made concerning FSU has been a real pleasure to listen too because they sound like idiots. All of them.

Prediction: The SEC goes 0-2 in BCS games.

17. Fuck off, SEC.
Edit: And fuck off to SEC homer ESPN, who will no doubt have some excuse (like with Alabama) as to why Auburn couldn't get it done.

FSU - 48
Auburn - 38
January 6th, 2014 at 11:19 AM ^
I think FSU wins by about 10 or so. I will put the score at 35-24 FSU.

One the one hand, you've got kind of the matchup you had last year, with one team eviscerating everyone on their schedule and the other needing a couple miracles to get into the NCG.
On the other hand, Auburn is clearly much better than Notre Dame was.
So I don't know, man. But I'll take FSU anyway.

Anyone going to watch the "Film Room" broadcast on ESPNEWS? I think it'll be better than the normal broadcast, IMO.

on this board and predicting an Auburn victory. Auburn has the team of destiny feel to them this season. Also I think Malzahn is a better coach than Jimbo Fisher and will figure out a way to win this game. FSU has a definite talent advantage over Auburn but I think the difference will be the Auburn rushing offense and Winston finally making freshman mistakes.
EDIT -- final score Auburn 45, FSU 41

Looking forward to this...
January 6th, 2014 at 11:45 AM ^
45-13 FSU.
January 6th, 2014 at 11:49 AM ^
I think Auburn will establish the run and continue SEC domination.
January 6th, 2014 at 11:51 AM ^
FSU - 28
Auburn - 27
And I think it's gonna come right down to the last play.

Shootout and not a lot of solid defense.
January 6th, 2014 at 11:58 AM ^
FSU by 14-17+. Lost in FSU's offensive fireworks is a top 3 defense in the nation. I think other than the BC game they pretty much demolished everyone they played - most teams they beat by 30 pts or more. I know Miami and Florida are not great teams but they handled them like MSU handled UM - or worse. And they made Clemson look like Purdue. The Duke team they demolished is not a bad team either.
Probably the lights will get to them early but once they settle in I think they win running away.

Michigan isn't going to win, hence I really don't care about the outcome.

There's actually quite a few Michigan fans here in Tallahassee.
January 6th, 2014 at 12:31 PM ^
SEC 45 - FSU 10. Oh wait, that's what the media will predict every year for the next decade. My apologies. My prediction is FSU 34 - Auburn 31.
January 7th, 2014 at 10:31 AM ^
Nice call, Bobby.
January 6th, 2014 at 12:31 PM ^
If FSU wins by 14 or more, they'll be the third team of all time to win every game by at least 14 points after 1995 Nebraska and 2004 Utah.
January 6th, 2014 at 12:34 PM ^
Auburn's rushing attack and dumb luck will keep this game closer on the scoreboard than it should be, but FSU's quality will win out in the end.
I don't see a blowout, but I do see a convincing win and one of the few teams in the BCS era with a legitimate right to say their National Championship is more reality than myth.
January 6th, 2014 at 12:40 PM ^
A meteor strikes and the world wins!
If that doesn't happen, FSU by 12
