Peppers breaks NJ state record in 200
The man is fast. He ran a 20.79, breaking the NJ record, and reportedly the 5th best time in the nation. Man, would I love to see that speed in the Big House. Article from NJ paper:
So does this mean that when he commits, his Hello post will have zero out of five fakes for his forty time?
so you can display all of that awesomeness in a maize and blue #2 Jersey...
He won't wear #2, he'll create his own legends jersey.
there has been talk that #2 will be similar to the #1 jersey for receivers, but for DBs instead. Personally I love the idea, but Peppers can have whatever number he wants AFAIC.
I like the legends jersey idea and I think more importantly the kids like them. Especially the top end kids - they are competitive by nature and dangling that bone in front of them seems to be a part of the soup that draws them in.
The downside to the legends jersey is it no longer allows new legend jerseys. If the next superstar is #4 or #83 or whatever, he will never get a chance to get that # to be legendary since by his 3rd or 4th year he will onto his legend jersey.
But again these are first world problems.
I would think the kid has a chance to graciously decline the offer for switching numbers and continue wearing his orginal number. This would also allow the competitive by nature athlete to make a legend number himself.
i hope he wears 5 like he did in hs and makes that a legend jersey
That's the Tate Forcier patch...
..DUH!
He's already said that what he wants to do.
PLEASE
Well, for a WR like him that shouldn't be too much of a revelation, he can stretch the field and... oh, he's not a WR you say? My interest grows...
I don't see how you can keep this kid off the field. He is just that damn gifted/talented of an athlete. And I'm talking about his freshman year also..just put him out there and he will make plays. He could very well be UM's version of "Honey Badger" but, ya know, sans the weed and substance abuse issues.
Now back to the New York Times Saturday crossword.
Just so everybody knows, this is a photoshopped picture and shouldn't be believed to actually have been sent to Mr. Peppers by Mississippi State. I know some of you thought the previous ones were real but I assure you this one isn't as well.
Liar. They're all real and from Mississippi State!
You sure make the internet less fun, Mr. Cheetah.
Next thing you're gonna tell us is that Tara Reid's boobs are fake and that Falcon Heene isn't really floating away in a balloon...
Who is Tara Reid?
Google her.
EDIT: I googled "Tara Reid" and this before and after was a result. Tara kinda looks like a dude
As a senior in HS Denard ran it in 21.89 sec.

Please please please tell me that was a short circuit reference. I am just going to pretend it is even if you didn't intend it that way.
I'm having a hard time with that. I know top-end speed is only part of the equation, but that is fast - really fast. I look forward to seeing him, Michigan is where he needs to be.
200 meters is more than two full football fields long (218 yards). It's not just a measure of speed but also your ability to maintain your top speed for some time. Sprinters typically hit their top speed around the 60-meter mark or so, so in the 200 you've got to hang on for awhile after that.
I know how long 200 meters is. I even know how long a football field is. I meant I was having a hard time with his time being that much faster than Denard's. I can understand it, but regardless, that is quite a comparison.
Love the subdued "holy shit" as he's about to cross the finish line.
"HOLY SHIT"
That was the understatment of the year. Damn that kid is quick.
That kind of gap at a state meet is unreal.
That time is pushing hard on Woolfolk the Elder's 33 year old Michigan Record for the Outdoor 200.
Love the commentary as he was just finishing. Pretty much sums up what I was thinking, too.
... Harold.
none of these kids know what in hell we're talking about. Punks.
Is there any risk Rutgers makes a move now that they're a serious player and in the Big Ten? Delaney said he thinks they can become a real powerhouse and that.... HAHAH kidding... kidding...
