01/15/2019 - 2:53pm So you're telling me they…

So you're telling me they signed two QBs, both ranked higher than Cade, including the younger brother of the almost Heisman winner, but they had Cade higher on their board? Sure, I'll take it.

01/14/2019 - 2:50pm If Michigan had really owned…

If Michigan had really owned NJ in 2014 (when Jabrill committed) and since, they could have had the 6th and 11th overall picks in the 2018 draft (Quenton Nelson and Minkah Fitzpatrick). Add players like Johnathan Taylor, Mike Gesicki, Jordan Fuller and Saeed Blacknell and, well, that might have led to a few more wins.

Fuck a fucking fuck. The fuck, Greg?

01/03/2019 - 2:49pm So I'm about to get negged,…

So I'm about to get negged, but Bo had skilled, predictable teams and, on average, went 10-3. So.....what we have right now.

01/03/2019 - 11:54am Thoughts - I really hope…

Thoughts - I really hope Charbonet gets 80% of the carries next year (and that it's because he legitimately earns it and produces). I want Evans in on two-back sets in which he equal parts gets a carry, equal parts is a receiver in the flat so as to not be predictable, but I'm also intrigued by what we saw from Christian Turner on the explosive would-be TD if the field was one inch wider. Meanwhile there were times last year that Tru was the best back for the situation.

So, as much as I would love to see a featured back, your question suggests we didn't have one this year - a year when Higdon averaged 20 carries per game. That's 5 more than Saquon got last year.

I look at Wisconsin where Taylor went for over 2,000 yards, but I'm not sure I would love any back to have more than 30 carries in a game, let alone multiple games. Yet in spite of that, they had a 2nd RB gain 545 yards and a 3rd go for 425.

The problem with Wisconsin stats is Taylor ran for more yards than the team passed for. I would love a world in which Charbonet runs for 1,500 yards but Shea also passes for 3,000.

Bottom line, I want a clear #1 starter, but there are at least 3 other guys in the backfield, not even mentioning fullbacks, that I would like to see used with regularity. The team should be able to run 2 back sets of Charb/Mason, Charb/Evans, Charb/Turner, Turner/Mason, Tru/Evans. I want an offense that keeps the defense guessing.

01/03/2019 - 9:10am The exact opposite of…

The exact opposite of whatever MSU has.

01/02/2019 - 5:22pm Considering they had 30…

Considering they had 30 commits 2 years ago, I think not. Early enrollees offset the number.

01/02/2019 - 3:51pm Where does that leave us in…

Where does that leave us in terms of scholarships, if there is no further attrition? How many more players can we sign in February?

01/02/2019 - 2:22pm Will be extremely tough to…

Will be extremely tough to replace. Ambry showed flashes but surprisingly little time on the field outside of kick returns, which he lost to Bell in the bowl game. With Watson running out of eligibility (right?) we realisitically need two guys to step up. Vincent Grey or Myles Sims?

01/01/2019 - 1:03pm I would love to see Giles…

I would love to see Giles make an impact....but that assumption of Harbaugh hiring a fulltime OC is not one I believe will happen so I worry that Giles will come into the game and EVERYONE will know that it's going to be a jet sweep. He'll get a 3 yard gain out of what should have been a 5 yard loss considering the defense knew what was happening. We'll see it 6 times during the season. It's the McDoom effect.

12/20/2018 - 9:53pm So you're saying this class…

So you're saying this class includes a QB better than Brady, a RB better than Wheatley, behind a line with two tackles not quite as good as Jake Long but better than Lewan, Omameh, Baas and Lentz on the interior, with receiving threats like Amarah Darboh, Roy Roundtree and Jeremy Gallon?

Um, ok!!!

12/19/2018 - 9:19am Couldn't get the audio to…

Couldn't get the audio to work, but it didn't matter. That hat told the story. Welcome to Michigan Cornelius!

12/04/2018 - 9:53am I think Urban leaving HELPS…

I think Urban leaving HELPS them recruit, unfortunately.

Urban was a snake and some parents, particularly moms, may have been uncomfortable sending their sons to play for someone who covered up criminal and unsavory activity by his players and coaches alike.

Meanwhile, OSU put a better product on the field when Day was coaching the team.

I'm happy Urbs is gone, but sad that I believe they are replacing him with potentially an upgrade. Fuck everyone in scarlet and grey.

11/11/2018 - 9:54pm Ok, to play along with the…

Ok, to play along with the game - here's a scenario.

Chris Partridge gets an offer he can't refuse to be a DC or HC somewhere. John fills in HIS spot, since after all that's pretty much the exact role he had before he became a HC.

But I do not want this to happen, as losing Partridge would seriously suck.

05/04/2018 - 1:26pm Hard pass.

Hard pass.

05/02/2018 - 5:59pm Mike Trout. Multiple MVP

Mike Trout. Multiple MVP awards and one postseason hit.

I have a friend who was a walk-on during spring camp last year. I asked him who I would be surprised about positive and negative. He said Speight and Nordin we're complete entitled douchebags. He said Bush was special and Khalid Hill was lazy as long as he could be but hilarious and ridiculously gifted.

04/08/2018 - 4:03pm I'm sure Ace will be happy to

I'm sure Ace will be happy to use this as an opportunity to congratulate PSU on their NIT championship.

09/22/2017 - 6:07pm Did anyone else watch

Did anyone else watch Horton-Tucker's film and swear they saw him travel at least a half dozen times? That cradle he has as he's approaching the rim is a consistent move for him and certainly looks like he's taking a whole lot of steps each time. Someone's going to whistle that eventually, right?

08/17/2017 - 7:44am Is there room to sweep Canada

Is there room to sweep Canada and take both him and Brazdeikis?

Also, I'm following the "don't watch his highlights because this isn't happening" rule while hoping to be gleefully surprised.

08/13/2017 - 9:42pm The Michigan way seems more

The Michigan way seems more like naming buildings than building statues, but much of that comes from former employees. I wonder if there will ever be permanent statues for former players. I would love to see a Woodson statue of "The Catch".

08/13/2017 - 3:17pm After all this ridiculous

After all this ridiculous talk, now he's HURT! Lol. It's not a serious injury so I don't feel bad about laughing, but I'm glad the SEC prepared him to be underachieving damaged goods.

06/24/2017 - 2:48pm He's a bit off in one way.

He's a bit off in one way. Over the past 30 years only 10 teams have won a championship, and only 3 (Lakers, Bulls, Spurs) have won more than Detroit.
However, this current team is bad. They have two max level commitments on guys who don't play at Max level. Furthermore, there is talk KCP will be payed at Max or near max (give me a break, he's a chucker). So no cap space and just the right level of mediocrity to never get the top level talent in the draft. No marketable pieces for trade and no one to develop. Add no cap space and the future looks dim. Then again, it's soon to be , for all purposes, an 8 team league so 22 fanbases have little to look forward to.

12/14/2016 - 6:44am For most cancers the survival

For most cancers the survival rate is exponentially higher if detected early. Breast cancer in particular, if detected at stage 2 or earlier, has a 90-some % survival rate. But if not detected until stage 4 it is under 30%. As much as the NFL is trying to benefit from image with this, Crucial Catch money is directly tied to making screenings more accessible, particularly in communities where people are less likely to have insurance. Through ACS and partnerships with medical systems in these communities, many women have had their first ever mammogram.
While I'm not on the "let's bash breast cancer awareness initiatives" bandwagon that many ignorant people have hopped on, I'm all for anything that expands this to other forms of cancer that are commonly ignored. Colorectal cancer is the one ACS is currently making a big push on. Screening rates are lower than 30%.

12/13/2016 - 9:22pm To be clear, the NFL

To be clear, the NFL partnership is NOT with Komen, rather with the American Cancer Society - a completely separate nonprofit that has always been an advocate for all screenings and funds more research grants than anyone outside the US government. I've lost family members to multiple forms of cancer and am among numerous cancer survivors in our family. ACS has been extremely helpful in providing education for what we have faced. I've had an association with them for two years now.

11/16/2016 - 3:28pm Look at what the Cubs did via

Look at what the Cubs did via the draft and trades from 2011-2014. After they established that as a foundation, they opened the checkbook again no and have at least one ring with plenty of reason to feel good about the next 5 years at least.

10/29/2016 - 8:32am I don't want to be a douche,

I don't want to be a douche, but has the staff told this kid to look around at all? Samuels and Dillon in the class and pushing hard for guys like Harris...I think Taylor still considers himself a RB. If he can't get snaps or do anything with them in a HS game, he's unlikely to beat out the other guys being recruited at UM.

Pay off all debt, buy a new car (modest, under $35k), travel more but generally maintain similar standard of living and use the interest to supplement my current income.

09/09/2016 - 9:14am I thought he recently

I thought he recently referred to OSU as "that other school" when talking about his former teammate's decommit. Now they're HIS Crystal Ball leader?

08/06/2016 - 10:35pm I don't like to think about

I don't like to think about it for a number of reasons, but wonder what would have been different if RR had landed Pryor for his spread.

07/13/2016 - 3:49pm There are a few neighborhoods

There are a few neighborhoods in Saginaw you want to avoid, especially after midnight, but most of Saginaw is fine.

Zero chance with Brian Bowen?

07/07/2016 - 11:01pm I watched the video of all

I watched the video of all his field goals. The extreme majority were at the rim.
He didn't strictly play junk minutes. If you watch he was matched up against starters on several occasions. He actually scored in double figures a dozen times.
Massive at 7'3".
I like it!

07/04/2016 - 12:04pm Beyond the obvious reasons of

Beyond the obvious reasons of it being a pipe dream (top free agents don't feel any draw to Auburn Hills, not enough cap space), don't forget he HATES Reggie Jackson.

Wonder where Westbrook will end up next year. Replace Tony Parker?

Smiling, tearing up a little. HAIL YES!

05/05/2016 - 7:34pm PSU should have had the death

PSU should have had the death sentence for this. Now the ship has sailed and the program will no longer face any ramifications, but Sandusky's victims will likely never recover.

As a kid, Cry Baby. I very clearly only watched it because of the girl who wanted to.

An an adult, Grown Ups 2. The first one wasn't great, but my wife and I gave the 2nd one a chance and I wanted to leave multiple times but I'm so cheap that I stayed for the free refills.

04/19/2016 - 9:05am NFL players are far better

NFL players are far better than college players. This game would be laughable, and that's no disrespect to the current team.

04/18/2016 - 1:52pm Doesn't Shawn Kemp have 143

Doesn't Shawn Kemp have 143 sons? One of them MUST be worth signing!

04/18/2016 - 1:51pm When I graduated from HS I

When I graduated from HS I was 6'3.5" and lucky to hit 150 lbs. on the scale. I drank protien shakes withy every meal and ate 5-6 large meals each day. Worked out but couldn't build any muscle in my upper body - lower body developed fairly well.

I didn't break 165 for good until I hit 27 years old. Now I'm 40 and 210 lbs.

Just had a crazy metabolism for a long time.

03/31/2016 - 10:58pm The spring game could give us

The spring game could give us a call of "Peters looking off Bush to once again target a Tight End and sure enough Butt hauls it in."

03/30/2016 - 10:43am Right, even without Poole,

Right, even without Poole, the situation is still better than no Spike and some Dakich. Simpson is a much better option and, even if there are injuries, you would have to think Watson is a better option than Dakich.

03/05/2016 - 4:43pm it wasn't that long ago, it

it wasn't that long ago, it seems, that Miami (YTM) belonged on that list. Oh, how they have fallen. Also amazing that Oregon doesn't recruit better given their resources, record on the field, and placement on this list. Hoke to the rescue.

02/22/2016 - 11:05am I think there was probably an

I think there was probably an assumption based on previous classes that if Irvin and or/Walton would have continued to progres, one or both could have gone early. Even Dawkins hype had some thinking about his potential. Those most frustrating thing about this team is how good they could be if everyone had taken steps forward. Seems like only MAAR and Donnal have improved while everyone else has either been stagnant or regressing. It's as if Hoke was guest coaching 2/3 of the team.
Obviously everyone is frustrated that our seniors don't play, considering one is a gritty and efficient leader and the other was a preseason All-American.

02/19/2016 - 1:09pm Didn't an ND commit die a few

Didn't an ND commit die a few years back during a "normal" spring break? Probably better for these student athletes to have a structured tropical spring break than to drink cheap liquor out or a syphilis-covered Bong for a week, right?

01/28/2016 - 9:00am A family member of mine who

A family member of mine who has known Brian for years said they talked months ago and Brian was basically off the team then. 3 Strikes. Missed a practiced, missed some classes, and smoked some weed. I've been wondering for a long time when this would become official. This was what Brian actually told her. Guess the delay was maybe his chance to get out of the doghouse but apparently he didn't.

13 years ago my wife and I honeymooned at The Homestead in Glen Arbor. Beautiful setting, very relaxing, and great all inclusive packages.

04/13/2015 - 10:40am Considering there is still

Considering there is still another 140+ days before they take on Utah, I don't expect greatness right now. All I expect is work and growth. These coaches are the exact people needed to get it there.
