Are you ready for the MGoRapture?

What else is there?
|5 days 6 hours ago||The last transition||
The last transition did yield an 11-2 season with a Sugar Bowl win so there's that.
Brandon's handling of the last transition though, regardless of the Hoke hire, has a supporting role in the current struggles of the offense.
|5 days 7 hours ago||Dear God||
If Brandon stays then it's proof that he is in fact Fred Jackson. Have you seen them in a room together? I bet not.
Ugh. Just realized how this sets up a Brandon in the filmroom joke.
Extra ugh. It's not a joke because it's true.

Minnesota wasn't the prettiest either...
|1 week 1 day ago||WRONG||
We are the best 3-4 team in the country. Nothing mediocre about that! Truly outstanding.
EDIT: Beat me to it or reading fail.
|1 week 1 day ago||Furman Clarity||
Even after Minnesota I still leaned towards irrational support of the Hoke regime but that Furman bit is the straw. Despite the mountain of evidence that should have had me in the It's Not Happening with Hoke camp already, it's a former special teamer turning into a potential (likely?) All-Conference player in the space of one offseason that has finally brought clarity to me.
So, hooray for that?
|1 week 3 days ago||Missed opportunities||
I've said this elsewhere but damn is that Rutgers game going to burn. 4-3 (2-1) would change a lot perceptions about the program especially heading into a sure loss at MSU.
Also, Henry. God it would have been fun to watch him add some holes to that swiss cheese OLine.
|1 week 3 days ago||Hayes||
Hayes seems like a far more decisive runner than Smith. I bet the snap counts between the two even out a bit. Hayes can be more than just a passing down back.
|1 week 3 days ago||Henry||
Where was Henry? I don't think I saw him all game. Pretty impressive performance without our best defensive player.
|1 week 3 days ago||can't complain||
Especially with so many key guys out on defense.
|1 week 3 days ago||sigh of relief||
Sorta makes Rutgers and Minnesota sting more though.
|1 week 5 days ago||tea leaves||
The more I think about it, this seems like a thing. Debord being there without Brandon speaks volumes. Given the environment right now, this can't be happenstance.
|1 week 5 days ago||Same||
I share this opinion. Timing makes sense too.
|1 week 6 days ago||The Dreamz||
How's this for a non-Harbaugh dream scenario?
Patterson as HC
Stitt for OC
Young gun type at DC
|2 weeks 2 hours ago||Whoa||
Sweet shit does this season suck.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||It burns||
For all the foibles during that game it sure seemed like on that drive they were going downfield for the win. On the road. Against an actual opponent type substance. Darboh even MADE PLAYS and yet...nope.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Charlton||
Taco Charlton looks like what you'd expect Lebron James to look like on the football field with an extra 25 pounds. That is one large human.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Nightmare||
The nightmare scenario only happens if Brandon stays on. You would think that even if 7-5 happens a new AD would at least pick up the phone to inquire about one of the home run hires.
Fortunately (and unfortunately) there's little chance we'll have to worry about the 7-5 part.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||I suppose||
The thing is, if it's real, why bother responding at all? Surely he's received all kinds of outrageous emails which he wouldn't have the time or inclination to reply to.
Again, if it's real AND the initial email was inflammatory AND Brandon felt compelled to reply for some reason there's a myriad of ways to do so without fanning the flames. This whole story is dumb from what's being alleged to the way it's being perpetuated.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||5-1||
If Michigan does what K State did last year and finished 7-5 after a 2-4 start, you could build a case to retain Hoke under a new AD and with some staff changes.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||next week||
With the bye coming, that could be a time to make a move with the AD with the thought that the story might die down before MSU. Announce a new AD by months end and begin the ceremonial evaluation period for Hoke in November.
Is that timeline nuts?
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I admit||
I LOL'd at this and I'm one of the optimistic ones on the board.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||That has to happen, right?||
This is the rewrite where the Titantic takes on tons of water but limps into port. It has to be, right? We've seen 5-7, 3-9 teams...I look at those rosters and look at this one and it sure doesn't seem like one of those. So this HAS to be the game.
For what it's worth, I googled teams that made big in-season turnarounds and the results were scattered. The most recent example I could find was last year's Kansas State that started 2-4 and finished 7-5 (8-5...ugh).
|2 weeks 6 days ago||'13 MSU Lite||
File this under feelingsball but for me this game was 2013 MSU Lite. Both games started as a slog-- Minnesota wasn't exactly gashing Michigan early and neither did MSU. But with the offense stagnant the defense eventually breaks. Yes, they'll have breakdowns when the game is tight but man playing defense often and from behind just isn't easy to do for four quarters unless the D is truly elite.
In a parallel universe Michigan might enjoy a modest second half lead at home against a Power 5 school and I think most of us would feel pretty damn confident about the defense closing the game out. Some day.
Edit: For spelling and another thought: I wonder what %age of the time UM plays from behind against Power5 schools during the 4-9 stretch? Obviously it's a lot but it might be interesting to know in terms of how hard is it to play defense when the offense doesn't hardly score.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||It's pretty clear||
It's pretty clear that currently the lone criteria for beating Michigan is to have a roster of Power 5 conference-caliber players. Huge if coming but IF Michigan can improve their D- offense to a C level then Rutgers, Penn State, Indiana, Maryland and Northwestern are all games Michigan should win with a B+/A- defense.
|3 weeks 4 hours ago||Whoa||
With so little discussion of the actual game last week, was it mentioned anywhere that Cole was at RT on that Gardner TD?
|3 weeks 4 hours ago||LOL||
|3 weeks 6 hours ago||BDH||
Since we already have the CC tag for coaching change, can we add BDH as a tag for beating a dead horse? For example, the title of this thread could be "BDH: Hoke speaks. Fire Everyone".
