Best case scenario next coach at Washington

The best case scenario to end the cycle of the glorious 2023 football season would for Washington to go get a head coach that would a perfect fit...

I had no idea who this was.  Then I saw it is the MSU coach.

So, this is a joke about the MSU coach.

People, we are the freaking National Champions.  Why do we concern ourselves with MSU, even as a joke?

They are completely irrelevant and way beneath us.

We make Alabama jokes now.

Never undertstood how MSU became such a bitter rival. I don't give a shit about them, never have. Maybe it's bc I'm not originally from Michigan, but it feels more like some weird holdover from the calamitous nexus of Dave Brandon/Brady Hoke and Mark Dantonio. We have one rival, and it's Ohio State*. MSU has been good like 8 times in the last 75 years.

*And not 'Ohio'...another weird thing from that era that won't die.

I grew up in Ann Arbor (but been away for most of my adult life) so I really don't get it either. But maybe that's because I don't have to work with or deal with any obnoxious Sparties on a regular basis.

I also don't relish MSU being called out and punished for any malfeasance, as I realize (as hard as it may be for us to accept) that most of the people I come in contact (outside the state of Michigan) often confuse the two schools, so any stain on one tends to be a stain on both.

Ohio State is Michigan's (athletic rival)...maybe Northwestern (and probably soon to be UCLA) are Michigan's academic rivals. Notre Dame is kind of second or third in both categories.
