Saw Taylor Swift at Soldier Field. I have to admit, it was a fantastic show. Other than that, going to see Pink at LCA in August then Cake in Fort Wayne in September. Hoping to go to Metallica this year as well.
I've only been to the Cork area a few times for work, but we did the Ring of Kerry drive which was totally worthy it. Take a boat out to the Skelligs if you can, they are a sight to behold.
And fer Pete's sake please don't order a black and tan when you go there...
A nice, button-down shirt with a sport coat. Ties are out, but a nice jacket would be a good compromise. Still dressing up without looking like a dweeb wearing a tie.
We are their Super Bowl. Their stats and W-L record both before and after this game don't mean shit. I believe we can win, but we need to be able to match their energy and intensity and care as much as they care if we want to beat them. If I have 1 complaint about Harbaugh (and I've got more than one), its that his teams don't seem to have the same fire as their opponents in these big games, hence the poor record. We can't play this game like its just another game. Its bigger than that.
Maybe I'm being too pessimistic, but I just don't want to get caught in the same "we should win this game easily" trap that portends inevitable doom. Win the damn game.

I went to the M00N game. I mean, we won and all, but holy shit no one was having fun. That stadium is tiny and is a pain in the ass to get to, the weather was bad, we were bad, they were bad, it was all just rather...bad.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but we should just follow what the EPL does. Top x amount of teams are Tier 1, next y amount are Tier 2. Relegation and promotion, etc. It's not like anyone other than a handful of teams will be NCAA champions anyway.
Tickets purchased. Excited to take my 9 year-old son to our first ever Michigan baseball game. Not too bad a drive from here in the Kzoo area so I'll be cheering the boys on for all those who can't go. GO BLUE!
I was living out there when he was suiting up for the Bows. Man, they embraced him. It was a great place for him to clean up his act and his play energized the islands for sure. UH had a good run of QBs under June Jones, but he was by far the best in my (very not expert) opinion. They had no chance against UGA but it sure was a fun season, with folks actually talking about football for once (instead of volleyball).
I used to do a lot of triathlon-ing before I had kids and have used them as an excuse to be lazy ever since. I've decided that the pandemic provides the perfect opportunity to train for my first (and only) Ironman. This allows me to drink copious amounts of alcohol while still losing weight. All it takes is 14+ hours of exercise a week! It's so easy!
I refinanced earlier this year and thought I'd give Quicken Loans a call. My experience was worse than awful. I clearly missed the Sparty connection there, but now my absolutely shitty experience with that company makes a ton of sense.
I lived in Australia for a few years and the number of poisonous creatures they have there is just terrifying. I remember watching tv with the wife the first time we saw a Huntsman spider crawling around the walls (it's the spider from Arachnophobia and they are roughly the size of my hand)...you don't see shit like that in Michigan.
As we were packing up our house to come back to the States we found dead scorpion underneath our mattress pad. I believe that was the universe giving us the sign that it was time to leave!

I agree with a lot of other folks. Don't give a shit about rankings as long as this team keeps getting better and keeps winning. I love the energy of these freshmen! I think Terrance Williams is rapidly becoming my new favorite player, but its tough to unseat Brandon Johns. They both bring so much energy, and they make those around them better.

As with most people, there are two sides. I live in Kalamazoo and he came in to speak with around 100 folks from my company. He basically yelled at us for an hour and I didn't leave feeling very energized. But after I reflected on his talk for a bit I can tell you why he has been successful wherever he goes --> he focuses on culture first. Regardless of what you think about him he gets people on board with his vision and he's had the football chops to back it up.
A few months later my family ran into his family at a local playground. He was very chill and great with his kids. Not that it matters in this context but thought it was important to take people outside of the football context all the time. It's probably this persona that shows up at recruiting visits, which could help explain his success there.
Marmion Academy '99 (Go Cadets!). We had an awesome team my senior year and hosted Jarret Payton's St. Viator team at home in the playoffs. Still the best game I've ever seen live, plus it was pretty cool to have Walter Payton at the home field of a small Catholic school of ~400 kids.
We've produced a few great players though...Larry English was the first I can remember. Then obviously there is the Glasgow connection which is pretty awesome. I live in Kalamazoo now and Luke Juriga just graduated from WMU and looks like he'll be getting a shot in the League as well.
Brad Childress was also an alum of my high school.
For those who follow triathlon we also have a pretty stellar professional triathlete by the name of Ben Kanute.
