Everyone on this board is ignoring how badly Michigan has lost the PR battle here. Look at the comments on literally any article or video from literally any (non-UM affiliated) source, and all of the comments are everyone talking about how we're the scummest cheatbags on earth. Any pro-UM coverage is "the UM lies machine spinning." These are real terms people are using! Also this sets a precedent that Tony Pettiti can just cave to an angry mob.
I think what the MGoCrew said on the MGoBlog round table sounds true - Michigan does now have motive to join a "super league" if one forms and to actively explore a post-B1G future. The entire B1G is Michigan and Ohio State. Michigan is in effect giving millions of dollars to programs like Northwestern and Indiana. Why should we? I don't think Michigan would have ever considered a B1G exit before the fiasco but they probably are considering it now.
This is so in depth it deserves to be promoted to a diary! Really great work on these charts. Sad we couldn't take home the #1 toughness ranking, but not everyone has the balls to stand up to Lou Holtz.
Creighton is the most underrated coach in the country. I think because no one pays attention to EMU and his record there is sub .500 he is just written off. What he has done at EMU is miraculous. It's amazing that no other programs have poached him over the past few years.
All of these position grades seem to include the backups and depth pieces. Starting RBs would be a 10 but we're not sure about RB3 or RB4 so the whole room grades out at a 9.
I see a lot of folder folks who are absolutely livid over every change in Ann Arbor. I'm not super old, but I'm old enough to have seen lots of change in A2 (33) and my hot take is that I think most of it is for the better! I can't think of any meaningful places that went away to make room for new development. The only part of town that has lost its old feeling, to me, is the South U district, but that's just like two blocks on one street.
Ryan Day is a horrible tactician. (See: his 4th down / punt calls in this past Game) It's entirely possible that Day was just not letting Stroud run. It would be hilarious if Stroud took off running (literally) in the NFL
I have lived in both Ann Arbor, MI and Columbia, SC, and the weather in Columbia was so unbearably megahot and humid (the HUMIDITY!!!) that people just didn't go outside for like 6 months in the summer. It was HORRIBLE. (Great if you visit in the winter/spring though!)
"Buffs" are a nickname for a type of fancy and expensive Cartier glasses, which are popular and culturally relevant in Detroit. (I love that we're integrating some Detroit culture into the team!) Whenever a player gets a turnover, he goes onto the sidelines and wears a pair of these "Buffs" to celebrate. The Turnover Buffs!

We have only had one actual successful Maize Out ever, and it was warm when that happened. If UM/PSU happens at night when it's cold, the boomers won't wear maize and it won't be a good Maize Out. I want it at noon!
