Michigan Football Announces MPower "Brand for Life" Program
The learn more link is broken. Here's the working link: MPower
They did a brand for life on Yellowstone too..... looked like it hurt and I'm pretty sure they'd never get away with that at U of M.
Be wary of anyone offering rides to the train station.
I was confused for a second because I thought “isn’t MPower the entrepreneurship org on campus?” https://mpowered.umich.edu/
or is it a BMW V-8?
Or a (hit myself on my head) I could've had a V-8
mPower is also a communications satellite constellation. Space, bitches, space.
Every single one of these is transformational.
certainly not transactional.
Just a note to all the people who like to throw around the "Money Cannon" term. There are two different options on that form you can use to fire that thing you are always bragging about.
I represent a business and would like to provide marketing and promotional opportunities to support our athletes.
or
I am willing to contribute financially to support our athletes.*
Ensure you click YES so the university knows you have money and want to spend it.
To be fair, I've talked a lot about other people firing up the money cannon. People other than me, because both my grad degrees are in the humanities. So...yeah.
Is it me or does it seem like the university is working exclusively with football on NIL and none of the other teams?
Ultimately, that’s where the majority of the big money is going to go so that’s what gets the most publicity. But the non-revenue sports have access to the various collectives and exchange programs as well. So the infrastructure exists already.
Yea I get that but the basketball program should be getting big money as well. Its almost as if the school is afraid for people to see them as buying bball players (legally now) because that is what got them in trouble in 90s (illegal payments).
Basketball is getting big money, just nowhere near the money football is getting. Which is to be expected when you look at the popularity of the respective sports, the popularity of the respective sports specifically at the University of Michigan, the number of players for each sport, and the general current success of the programs. Basketball is getting big money, football is just getting HUGE money.
But it’s important to note that the football team is also avoiding the “buying players” look. Recruits aren’t being offered NIL deals like they are by other schools. Once a player gets here and performs, they have every opportunity to get as much NIL as they can. But Michigan is not and will not be offering up front money outside of the general collectives that every player is afforded just for being on the team.
Sam Webb this morning said Harbaugh helped develop an NIL program that would be a game changer for Michigan. He said it would be unveiled shortly. I wonder if this is what he was talking about?
Yes and the next one that comes out in a couple months will be even more mind blowing.
real estate
Harbaugh and not Warde helping develop it? Hmm
I'm sure Maizen is already making huge donations and is not just a broke dude who whines on the internet.
Empower!
Should've been giving player's their own cars a long time ago
