Yeah, a really nice return and helps with depth concerns at safety.

I'm interested to see how the team does post-Spring and if they pick up another guy in the secondary, preferably at corner, and maybe a receiver.

This is great. Between him, Berry, Hillman, we have enough safety depth to allow them to help cover the NB spot with McBurrow/allow McBurrow to compete outside as well.

That still isn't a confirmation that he will be returning -- just that he intends to return. The article puts forth the requirements for him to return and then says...

[I]t’s not immediately clear if Johnson officially met every threshold, was granted a waiver or is still waiting to hear eligibility specifics

I wish I could say I wasn't nervous, but I'm always nervous when it comes to the NCAA. I'm still scarred by Jeremy Clark not being granted an injury waiver back in the day.

Typical.

Here we are (prematurely) celebrating some fantastic news and without fail, some random jerkface poster has throw cold water on the party by injecting stupid facts.  And, also without fail, those stupid facts are unpleasant but factually accurate.

Thanks a lot Obama.

This board is insufferable when it comes to  grammar Nazis. Maybe you’re academics that are just used to formal writing but there’s a thing called conversational language and colloquial use of language that you seem to have missed out on. Wild. I think it’s so you can feel superior; like: ‘ewww, this guy is CLEARLY less smart than I! He used the wrong your! Bahaha…isn’t he dumb? Look how smart I am that I catch these 🤫 most know the proper way as we’ve been through college. We just converse in a different way. Said my piece (sorry for the incomplete sentence).

Nope.  We've still got 18 in.  And I think 14 are sure bets to be drafted, with a chance at 16-18.  All 18 are ranked in the top 300 and there are 257 picks.  Henderson is ranked 258 and CJ is 270.  I'd be shocked if CJ doesn't get drafted.  I think Henderson gets drafted.  Wallace and Barnhart are 272 and 273; Barnhart is likely to get drafted based on the UM reputation and scouting combine interviews.  Jones is at 292 and more athletically gifted than nearly all the other UM OL in the class; he's got a shot.

TL;DR: I think it's more likely we set the record than not.

Yeah "garbage" is a terrible take.  We're set up to have a very old OL who have all spent a lot of time in the program OR (in the case or Preibe) have good starting experience.  There's a high floor on the OL again.  We have a bucket of RBs (Donovan, Mullings, Hall), enough that Donovan can be routinely used in ways other than as a straight RB.  We also have Loveland who will likely be the best TE in the country (and would have been least year if it weren't for Bowers).

Yeah there's some questions at WR, and more so at QB.  But that's football, you don't get to have 2023 years where EVERY position on both sides of the ball is elite all the time.  We're not peak Bama, and in the transfer + NIL age, it may become effectively impossible for teams to hoard talent to that degree going forward.

A good OL and a great RB room is a great place to start.  Sherrone and Campbell can build an offense from that foundation.
