2 weeks 9 hours ago	you cannot look at it that	you cannot look at it that way.  There are 4 starters in the secondary, Peppers cannot play them all at the same time. IMO, Webb is probably the top player in the State of MIchigan.  I believe he is the most ready to play his position right now.  I believe Harris and McDowell have better upside though. Webb stings a bit.  Wish we could flip him but most on here say no chance for whatever reason.

2 weeks 13 hours ago	This brings a smile to my	This brings a smile to my face.  This kid is really, really good.  I was ultra bummed when he committed to OSU (just like i was for Webb).  Then he was said to be an MSU lean for a while. Extremely happy if Michigan lands 4 of the big 5. Think of it, Webb and Marshall were at OSU, Harris was at MSU, and things were starting to dwindle with the stud 5* DT once national powers were aggressively pursuing.  It was looking like there was a chance Mich would get shut out for all the blue chippers in Mich at one point.  Nice job by the staff.

3 weeks 5 days ago	I realize you can't get them	I realize you can't get them all, but Marshall and Webb do sting a little.  If there was ever a year i would pick to 'wrap up the state', this would be it, because this is probably the most talented year in-state that i can ever remember.  I started following recruiting in year 2000. I would have been estatic if both would have picked us.

The one guy i am SUPER high on though is 2 years away - Luke Kennard.  I think that kid would be a super in Michigan's system.  The guard, Eric Davis of Saginaw, not very impressed by him.  Not sure why he is rated as high as he is.

11 weeks 1 day ago	Irvin is the best high school	Irvin is the best high school basketball player recruited by Michigan in at least the last decade.  I thought Trey Burke was grossly underrated and could not fathom how every service not only didnt have Burke in the top 50 (almost every service had him ranked 125th ish and Brundidge higher, sometimes top 100), but how these basketball analysts even have a job.  Burkes relentless practing/training is tough to match.  The kid practices/trains so hard to get better.  He really is one of a kind all the way around, including his Barry Sanders demeanor ont he court.  Back to Irvin.... Irvin is a star in the making.  He is absolutely phenomenol.  Even if everyone stays except Burke, i don't see how Irvin is will be kept from the starting lineup.  He is a future NBA'er all the way. I excpect Walton to be very, very good and to have a season similar to Burke's freshmen year.  In the long run, Walton will get as many assists as Burke/Morris, possibly more, but his scoring will not match Burkes. Walton will definitely carry the high standard of our recent point guards going forward.

12 weeks 5 days ago	MSU loses 2 games in a row,	MSU loses 2 games in a row, and you think they should only drop from #4 to #5?  What are you smoking? IMO, i was shocked to see MSU still ranked as high as they are!  Thoguht they would drop to #10 to #12.

They have 1 midwest analyst (had zero for about a year) and about 17 southeast analysts.  They are biased in rankings. 247 has Marshall at #246 overall, #14 sde, #6 in the state of Michigan. Looking at the kid, he is physically developed, very athletic.  This is a kid Michigan definitely wants.  Losing Webb and Marshall to OSU sucked bad.  Very glad they lost Marshall.  Webb may be the top player in the state (i personally think he is #2, and VERY close to MdDowell for the #1 spot) so i hope Michigan can flip him.  He may be the best prospect to come out of Cass Tech in recent years.
16 weeks 4 days ago	The most overlooked piece of	The most overlooked piece of recruiting info that came out this year was, if i recall, about 6 months ago (ish). It was LT basically saying that the Michigan coaches had not contacted him in quite some time and he didnt know why.  It baffled me not only how Michigan fans did not notice these comments, but how most still though LT was a lock, even though the Michigan coaches next to dropped him for some reason unknown to all us fans, but definitely known by the coaches. I was always curious as to why the Michigan coaches walked from him.  He 'seemed' like a good kid.
17 weeks 2 days ago	Even if Morris decision	Even if Morris decision making and knowledge of Michigan's offense somehow made it to the level of Gardners during spring camp (which is no way, no how going to happen) he still would not start because he in no way had the running ability and escapability of Gardner.  He would have to exceed gardners throwing/decision making to even have a chance to start. Simply put, just pray Gardner does not get hurt this year or we do not make a bowl game.
22 weeks 4 days ago	You just nailed it.  Smith is	You just nailed it.  Smith is an exceptional, blue chip back.  Top 10 running back.  Many, including me, like his film better. BUT there are 2 main things why Green is ranked higher - 1) ceiling.  He may be a slight step down as a power runner compared to Smith, but Green can take it to the house.  Tough to teach speed.  2) Green plays against better competition, so adjusting the film to the competition, is Greens film then as impressive?  More impressive?  I don't know.

32 weeks 3 days ago	Well, the key there is that	Well, the key there is that it was a VERY easy first down catch (believe it was like 3rd and 5 or so on that play) which was extremely annoying to play that soft on that play and give up such an easy 1st down.  I remember initially for a second yelling at the defensive guy for giving up sucn an easy play, and then a second later thinking how lucky he was. In short, beaten badly under the scenario it was is not far off.
32 weeks 3 days ago	how in the world can you	how in the world can you state Penn State is not very good? You don't think NW is very good either?  So if your a #20 to #40 team out of 120, that means your not very good now?  But if your #20 to #30 range like Michigan, you are good?

34 weeks 6 days ago	My answer:  This team is	My answer:  This team is better than what i thought we would be.  I figured 2-2 with losses to who we lost to, but expected ND to own us, and we actually outplayed them outside of a few plays.  This team is better than i thought they would be. We are no worse than the 2nd best team in the Big Ten.  I thought we would be the 4th best team in the Big Ten this year.

35 weeks 4 days ago	As exciting as he was to	As exciting as he was to watch return punts and cover WR's, i always label him the most overrated CB because of his inability to tackle.  If all teams passed 100% of the time and Sanders never had to stop the run, then i would agree with you that he is the best ever. I always liked Kenny Easley and Ronnie Lott because they were excellent at both, not just excellent at one facet. I think Charles Woodson is equally excellent at both.  Just masterfull at stripping the ball for a DB.  Very physical.
35 weeks 4 days ago	Many here probably were too	Many here probably were too young to know the Wheatley story.  He may have been the all-time biggest recruit Michigan has ever landed.  He was sooooo in-demand from every school in the nation - it bordered on the level of Marcus Dupree.  He was just that good in high school and as a freshmen.

36 weeks 5 days ago	Gonna	Gonna really miss Denard after this year.  Probably not even a .500 team without him this and last couple years.  Amazing the yards he puts up.  I was also really, really impressed with Funchess.  I did not think he would be productive for a few years, needed to gain some weight etc... but wow, i know it was air force, but he looked like a seven foot receiver out there.  He impressed me.
37 weeks 5 days ago	I agree with everything you	I agree with everything you stated.  I would like to also add that Big Will was pretty much the only DLman that played well.  He actually did very good.  Rest of the line was absolutely trucked.  Roh?  WTH is up with him.  Next to terrible for 2 straight years now. Our LB's get eaten alive in 1 on 1 tackling.  Just awful.  Cant wait for an uperclass of Bolden and Ross.  Been since David Harris since i have seen Michigan with great LB play. Hope we can stop this DG is impressing at WR talk now.  I have heard too much fake hype on he and Rawls. And Borges.  Grrrrr.  You HAVE to be kidding me!
