I would like to be a fly on the wall on his recruiting trips. Program like Michigan should be killing it. Especially after that 3 year run he had.
There is no denying his offensive schemes are off the wall. He is an offensive savant. His players even appear much better than they actually are because of his system.
But his recruting and defensive coaching are severely lacking.
Im on the fence here. I like the comfort of knowing this program is and will be squeaky clean. And at times, this team is such a joy to watch. At other times, is so damn frustrating though.
I am close to giving up on the 'do it the right way 100%' theory, and getting a dude like Harbaugh here, who will ambitiously recruit and do it as close to bending the rules but not breaking them as possible. FROM ABUSE COMES CONTROL AND SUBS!

I like those 2 songs.

Likewise. Part of me wishes he did not get caught. But then again, is that fair to the other 43.7 trillion people in Africa who want to get out and can not do it the right way?

Im not so sure we were his #2 school.
We went from nowhere in his top 5 to the #2 school just a few days before he committed to Rutgers? And OSU and PSU led at one time?
This one smells of something. I think we should be glad he committed to Rutgers because i really do not think we were his #2 school. I think Rutgers just landed him instead of OSU or PSU actually.
It simply makes a statement if we were his number 2 school and he picked Rutgers over us. Gives a better perception of Rutgers to top kids in NJ/NY that Rutgers can complete and will compete head to head over us now in there area.
After Singleton and possibly Wilson commit to us, and after the season not only we have, but Rutgers has - if we WERE his #2 school, he would probably flip to us in the future. Interested to see how this plays out.

"Commitment Imminent" - Rivals
well, no fucking shit! Eventually Michigan will land a commitment. 14 of them!
|1 week 4 days ago||Rivals used to be the best.||
Rivals used to be the best. The leaders for almost a decade. It was the only sub i had at one point.
I left when they lost their only midwest analyst. They had ZERO midwest analysts. They had 5....YES FIVE south/southeast analysts. Their content/articles/recruiting rankings were heavily biased towards the south georgraphically - and midwest got dumped on.
It was a no brainer for me. Now, i believe they do have 1 midwest anallyst (correct me if i am wrong - isnt it ex wolverine Josh Helmholdt?) and probably have 4-7 southern analysts.
Its just biased shit now. Content/analysis on the wolverine appears to be crap in comparison to the early to mid 2000's when i was a member.

Absolutely agree. I am placing as many bets with my MSU buddies as i can. I have one bet where the winner gets a buck per point won by.
Yes, i am expecting Harbaughs Michigan to steam-roll MSU. This game is not going to be close. At all.

LISTEN TO ME! this game is already over. Done. We do not even need to show up. Double digit win. Bank it.
This one is a blowout in east lansing. Harbaugh is going to crush them.

TWD is really good. I enjoy it, as does my wife.
But the difference in story and quality between the 2 is rather large IMO.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Im making a prediction, and i||
Im making a prediction, and i really do not think it is bold at all.
Harbaugh and Michigan beats MSU by 20+ this year at MSU. Harbaugh is not going to lift his foot off the gas petal, and is going to throw a fly pattern up late by 20+
He is really going to piss Mork off and irritate the hell out of him. Book it.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Why should there be a middle||
Why should there be a middle ground? There absolutely positively should be NO ground. The coach/university should be able to conduct as many camps as many places as they have resources (time) for.
You think there should be a middle ground so the SEC coaches can fish all off-season and not do a few camps instead to keep up with Harbaughs relentlessness and unlimited ambition?
Meeting in between makes no sense to me - at all.
What happened to the USA. Our workforce spends more time trying to figure out how to make as much as possible doing as little as possible - when we should be just WORKING our ass off and getting things done. The lazy and entitled - grrrrrr.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||on the road at MSU is going||
on the road at MSU is going to be easy. 10+ point win. Chalk it up rigth now. UM goes into that game top 3 in the nation, stays undefeated, and moves up a spot to the #2 team in the nation that monday.

Same 2 i also think.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||FWIW, that class above would||
FWIW, that class above would give us a class point total of 295.3
That would crush our last class we landed. Most of your placeholders are top 100 blue chippers so this prediction, like you stated, is unexpected and definitely on the high end.
That class this last year would have given us the #3 class (just .17 behind #2 Florida State).
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Every single commit we have,||
Every single commit we have, simply means we lead for them right now. We have to recruit them all until the end/they sign.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||We lose the kitchen sink.||
We lose the kitchen sink. And most importantly, we lose 80%+ of our trenches (both sides).
This recruiting class is extremely important to get some blue chip guys that can play very early. We will have at least 1, probably 2 or more walkons starting in the tranches next year.
This year, and then 2018 and beyond expectations are high. But not 2017 - it will most likely be the only blip on Harbaughs resume at Michigan. He would have to pull out a miracle somehow to get to double digit wins in 2017.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||my thoughts||
First, a high level thought. This is a really, really good 'team' this year. But they better be. Because next year is not going to be pretty. I strongly believe we make the playoffs this year though.
When i am right, i have no problem sharing it. When im wrong, i equally have no problem sharing it. Wilton Speight is above and beyond the maximum level i ever thought he would be at. I am truly flabergasted in regards to his playing level and the job Harbaugh and the coaches have done with him. In my eyes, from high school and first years, there was absolutely no way he would play at a high level - and we would not be able to win with him at QB.
Speight has a great feel for this offense. He makes the right plays. He reads well, and has nice touch. No way did i ever, never, ever think he would actually compete with O'Korn for the starting job. The competition is obviously very real. Very impressed by Wilton.
O'Korn can run much better than i recall his Houston clips. Kid has wheels. And that, not his arm over Speight, may be the reason he starts. Going to be an interesting battle. I think O'Korn is much more TO prone though, and WS takes good care of the football. Safer throws.
I expected the defense to slam the shit out of the offense. I was very suprised/encouraged that both offenses moved the ball very well. This is a good sign, because we KNOW our defense is good.
Holy shit - our TE's are good AND are put in a position to succeed. After this year, Harbaugh will spit out a top 3 TE to the lelague almost every year. We should land a top TE every single year. Did i mention TE factory? TE U?
|4 weeks 4 days ago||yeah, strange. He was for||
yeah, strange. He was for sure a composite 4* on 247 when he committed. Our team ranking on 247 was even 8th. Now he is a 3* and we are 9th.
Again, no biggie. I was just curious as to what service changed. Something defiinitely changed.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||He is the one, when it looked||
He is the one, when it looked like we led, that i would not have cared an extreme amount if he went somewhere else.
He reminds me more of a better version of Carlton Brundidge (who was rated higher than Burke the entire 2 years while we recruited both) and i kept saying that ranking should flip flop.
Those who trash Walton - well IMO Winston is a mix between both Walton and Brundidge.
X is definitely the better recruit IMO.
Now, the other recruits MSU landed - Grrrrrr/Uggggh. Very high on them.
|6 weeks 1 day ago||He really should IMO. And i||
He really should IMO. And i am no kool aid drinker.
What he does with what he has on offense is pretty damn special.
His weaknesses are defense and recruiting. But offensively, i could not place him outside the top 5.
Anyone who can put up offensive numbers like he does with Novak, GRIII and Irvin as power forwards is just short of Einstien offensive knowledge IMO.
|6 weeks 2 days ago||I disagree with you - i||
I disagree with you - i believe DR is much better at non-set 3's than NS. NS always needed to be set. Robinson can drib, stop, pop much better IMO.

I been telling everything with ears including my cat that Melo Trimble is the most overrated, pumped player in the history of the big ten. And Maryland as a team are overrated, but not as overrated as their so called star guard.
Now, with that said, Maryland has a very good team. They are just not nearly as good as the pumpers make them out to be.
|10 weeks 2 days ago||When i think of 'Best that Never was'||
as a Michigan running back, i think of poor Brandon Minor and poor Fitz T. Both would have been monster RB's with uber production under 'normal' Michigan football team circumstances.
Feel bad for both.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||One small bit......||
what you stated is very true....
"Ohio State, LSU and USC/UCLA have the most local talent"
But your missing the team that has more local talent than any other university, and it is not really close.
Miami with Dade, Broward and Palm Beach county beats any other University by quite a margin IMO - even if a University like Ohio State does not have to share the entire state.
Those 3 counties probably produce more high end talent than 75% of other entire states.
IF Miami had the facilities and fan base (and a top notch administration) they would year in and year out be elite. They took care of 1 of the 2 (hiring Richt) but the facilities and local fan base will prevent them from being elite.
But, in a nutshell, there is not a single University that gerographically has it easier to recruit and become elite in a short period of time. They are and remain a sleeping giant.

Maybe Caris is out because he has 2 fouls on him. At all costs, JB does NOT want to get that third fould oh him, even if it means tanking the season!
Caris is such a great kid. Its too damn bad his draft stock is tanking because of this injury. Costing him some benjamins.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||That is why its a little||
That is why its a little strange to me. This is not some middling 3 star. This is a guy who will eventually become a low to mid 4 star based on what i see. He is a guy that i would want in my class.
Bu then again, i would settle on a low to mid 4* talent. Our coach - maybe not.
