Personally, i am expecting Speight to start.
|1 week 3 days ago||Not much different than what||
Not much different than what a group of posters on this board do to some users. And this board is supposed to be mature.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||D-Mo is actually a great||
D-Mo is actually a great example.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||While Chatman very well is||
While Chatman very well is looking like he will be a bust (although maybe he can make that freshmen to sophmore leap??), Irvin is no way no how a bust. He is a solid player who is simply being forced to do things out of his confort zone. Irvin is a solid player.
|3 weeks 4 hours ago||Smart man. I am definitely||
Smart man. I am definitely in the Wilton camp for starting QB. I will be actually mildly surised if he does not win the starting job. While i never rule out a true freshmen, There is less than a 2 percent chance of a non Speight/Morris starter IMO.

This is GIF of the year. I just analyzed it for at least 20 minutes. Where in the heck is this?
|3 weeks 4 days ago||You live in East||
You live in East Lansing?
Cole is athletically one of the top kids in the entire nation - were talking Peppers type athletic ability. I do question a few things in regards to Cole, but this kid is borderline 5* IMO.
* Apologize, sarcasm actually just flew way over my head. So much negativity past few days it just blended in *
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Thanks for the well needed||
Thanks for the well needed good news. Appreciated :) Hopefully its not a tactic for added suspense on his part.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||I completely disagree. We||
I completely disagree. We are in a tough place right now because of early departures (and to add to it, key injurys). However, the lineup JB is throwing out there right now has 3/4 year players written all over it. Next year will be killer IMO.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||Some of you people need to||
Some of you people need to stop looking at fricken rankings and form you own opinions. LOOK AT THE FILM YOURSELF!
This is not a big loss my no means. It does not take Tom Brady to look at his clips and wonder why he was offered in the first place.
|4 weeks 5 days ago||I am from the Saginaw area||
I am from the Saginaw area and have seen Cole in person twice. Having Cole at 4 is a complete and utter joke. Off the top of my head i cannot even name a more athletic kid coming out of the state of Michigan in quite some time. There are some questions in regards to Cole, but athletic ability and potential is not one of them - this is a Peppers type athletic ability.
Stallworth at 1 and Cole at 4? Wow. Just wow.
Even if his list was taking into account high school production more heavily than other criteria (cole missed most of the season) then you could make a case for Cole at 4th, but then Malzone and/or Weber would have to be first (other 2nd). This list is garbage no matter how you spin it.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Losing Rojo was definitely||
Losing Rojo was definitely memorable, but suprisingly gaining D-War shortly after was also memorable. One of the big recruiting suprises.
|6 weeks 2 days ago||I am personally extremely||
I am personally extremely excited to see Isaac behind an OL with 1 more year of experience, and coaches bent on successfully running it down opponents throats. Actually, we have an crazy amount of talent in the backfield next year. No reason not to have a breakout run game, and it should make up for our questionable returning pass game.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||Personally at the time it was||
Personally at the time it was Streets. However, looking back on that team years later, possibly the most underrated and under appreciated player was Renes. He very well may have been the 2nd most important player on that entire team.

|6 weeks 4 days ago||Mixed feelings on this one.||
One one hand, Manning was a knockout recruiter and could do wonders recruiting mid-Michigan (Saginaw/Flint/Midland/Bay City). On the other hand, Zordich would do wonders for player development.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||I believe this will be very||
I believe this will be very similar to Brady Hokes first year where he inherited a veteran team that RR finally established. Just like Hoke, Harbaugh will enjoy experience at arguably the 2 most important position groups on a footbal team: OL and DL. I feel the OL especially will take the biggest jump forward and our ground game to finally take off and take the heat off the most unknown, variable returning position, QB.
Our run game and veteran, solid defense overall should allow Harbaugh a successful first year - im going with 9-3. If Harbaugh and the staff are overall as good as advertised, and Harbaugh works his magic on Speight and/or Morris, this could be a 10-2/11-1 team. Hate to use the phrase 'manage the game', but the QB just has to not lose it for us. No silly TO's, don't force the issue, and don't be afraid to throw the ball away if nothing is there. Have to split at home with OSU/MSU though, which definitely can happen, and i think will happen.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||:) And sometimes these||
And sometimes these analysts get it right. Its not difficult to look at a guy like Derryck Thornton and see a superstar in the making. But with the coverage these recruits get nowadays, it does shock me when a guy like Doyle slips through the cracks.
A kid with his motor, skillset and just wanting to learn/get better - it was not hard to evaluate him and come to a conclusion that he was going to be very, very, very good.
And honestly, i have not said a word this entire season about 'me calling it' but when i read the article with our coach quoting that he reminded him of McHale, who i stated over a year ago multiple times Doyle reminded me of McHale, i felt instantly compelled to finally post.
But then again, reading above, i guess i should have refrained from posting. Michigan fan base is comprised of some pretty hard core gansters i see.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||short facebook. closely watch||
closely watch BP for long entry. Don't go all in, allow yourself multiple entry points to average down. This could test lows of oil spill (mid 20's) but i would recommend starting your initial entry at 35 with room to add on continued weakness heading towards potential lows of oil spilll. If you are patient this one is a great investment with oil low and heading lower, with a next to sure thing of oil recovery in the future.
On the flip side, with low energy pricing solar is also being dragged down. As your watching oil dip, time your favorite (of few favorite) solar companies. FSLR, CSIQ, JKS, TSL etc.. I prefer JKS for upside capital gains (low float) and FSLR for stability.
Your welocme :)
|7 weeks 6 days ago||It was always my perception||
It was always my perception that Manning was definitely the ace recruiter on the staff, followed by Mattison. Everyone else was just blah to not very good. The fact that Manning and Mattison are retained, combined with staff being assembled ability to recruit could take Michigan to the next level in recruitng.
And that next level would have to be pretty good. If you take the class star averages of Hokes recruiting classes, Michigan was #3 over the last 4 years under him. Hoke and staff recruiting extremely well. Just did not develop .... x's and o's were not there.
With all this said, my on big concern would be Manning. Although he was our ace recruiter, i also think he was one of the worst 2 position coaches. I am worried about where he will be placed.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Wow, i stand severely||
Wow, i stand severely corrected. That much of a difference, huh.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Correct me if i am wrong, but||
Correct me if i am wrong, but don't a few of the big time programs like Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State generate more revenue than all NFL teams except maybe Dallas?
|9 weeks 5 days ago||Main guys fluctuate there.||
Main guys fluctuate there. Chris used to basically be the basketball only guy. Josh was the football only guy. They had a few others covering everything like Spath and Pargoff (on his own now). Josh got promoted to midwest for rivals. And rivals lost subscribers so Chris was forced to cover more than just bball. He probably now does the most over there.
Although the main guy has actually been John Borton in the background for ever if i recall correctly. He just doesn't do the busy work with contacts.
|9 weeks 5 days ago||This is where Brian Cole's||
This is where Brian Cole's dad is doing this process right. I was shocked when Cole committed to us. It really appeared either MSU or OSU was going to land him. I have 2 close contacts to Cole and Michigan was third.
Additionally, one of my close contacts also told me Cole was most likely decommitting the week after Hoke was let go.
I give Kudos to Cole's dad for wanting to wait until the next coach was hired, THEN making a decision. Kids that decommitted immediately without knowing who the new coach was or speaking to them is, well, a little immature (with exceptions to possible early enrollees).
|9 weeks 5 days ago||I touched on this months ago, maybe up to a year ago||
but you guys are missing another part of this guys statistical career which is as impressive, or maybe even more impressive than his interceptions. His forced fumbles.
I 'believe' Charles Woodson is the all-time NFL leader in takeaways (Interceptions PLUS forced fumbles). The combination of those 2 are what sets him apart from the other All Time great HOFers. His ability to strip the ball is absolutely amazing.
There are a few guys who in college football history who are elite in coverage and get lots of interceptions. There are a few guys in college football history who have the skill and strength to strip the ball. There is one guy who is both.
|11 weeks 1 day ago||I consider myself an expert||
I consider myself an expert judging bball talent. (okay, so im the only one).
I can safely say that Thornton Jr. is the gold mine in this class. Im not overly crazy about Winston. Very good player at the high school level (so are a lot of kids) but this game does not translate at Michigan.
Thornton Jr is an absolute stud and easily the best PG in this class.
|11 weeks 3 days ago||Well, like someone below||
Well, like someone below stated, you do need a thorough search. You cannot put all your eggs in one basket to have that egg tell you no at last minute...then you scramble to grab a plan D which sets the program back to the stone ages.
However, it 'could' also be bad news. We don't know.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||Actually, he has very good||
Actually, he has very good speed. Just horrible effort and less than average acceleration/agility.
NFL body though.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||This thread may be the most||
This thread may be the most imformative of all Harbaugh threads also. Seriously.
|12 weeks 6 days ago||It all depends the coaching||
It all depends the coaching staff Miles brings with him. The coordinators will be extremely important. And hopefully he has guys that teach their positions well. Our secondary coach was the best recruiter in the world, but man, db coach? An ex LBer who was too young and exerienced at a position he never played trying to teach it?
And i wont even begin in regards to the OL coach.
