just what the Pistons need: a third string center. Joe Dumars was replaced by a mean ol' alien a few years back you guys.

I have one issue with Hoke. Fergodsakes eat healthier. Cut out processed foods. Cut out high sucrose foods. Cut out anything made with flour. Including pasta. Cut out rice and potatoes (or drastically reduce their intake). You will lose a pound a day. I want you around a long time, damn it. |

I think we can thank that Alabama ass kicking for an increased intensity and focus on recruiting. It was rather astute to play Alabama in order to gauge where the program was at. It was a wake up call. A realization that without elite talent, you do not beat elite teams. I doubted this staff's ability to recruit corners until yesterday. Jabrill Peppers is the truth. Condensed. |

West Side Cubs as a youth. That is one of the best little league football programs in the city. Lots of tradition. He is connected to the youth leagues in Detroit because his roots are there. I know because I played with him on the West side Cubs. They moved him up to the 12 and under team from the 10 and under team because he was that damn good. I remember the coaches wanting to gauge his speed. So they had me line up on the 5 yard line and him on the goal line. We were to run to the opposite goal line, With him trying to catch and tackle me. I was the second fastest player on the team (I played corner). That little shit caught and tackled me at the 40 beyond midfield. I could hardly believe it. A ten year old faster than me (I was 12). Thomas Wilcher was as hard as nails as a ten year old. Believe me. |

1. Michigan will have you on national television more than just about any other school. 2. Your Michigan degree gets you membership into the largest most influential alumni base in the nation. 3. Truth is, you can succeed wherever you go, but no fanbase compares to Michigan. We welcome you, your dad, your family with open arms. Sincerely. 4. You can make history by being a part of the greatest squad in Michigan history. Surpassing the 1997 squad, potentially. 5. Go Blue. 6. You end up on the cover of video games at Michigan. Your star can shine brightest in the Big House. |

Edit: I apologize for the multiple posts. The post would not take initially, so I retried it. When it finally took, all of the previous attempts showed up too. My bad. Moderators, can you please delete the multiples? |

of styles. I observed this site for quite awhile before emerging from the woods. I chose this site to become a poster because I found myself here the most due to the comprehensive information available at any given moment. There is less lag for new information. Generally, there are some pretty thought provoking minds lurking here. I also dig your site Magnus. Keep doing the girl pix. I admire and draw inspiration from the fact that you guys made this into a vocation. Seth, I always enjoy your magazine as well. I built my computer too. As a guy who rebuilt a BMW transmission just because I'd always wanted to rebuild a transmission, I appreciate information freaks (as I am one). Go Blue. |

I am offering my energy to the universe in hope that they pull the brilliant stroke and bring back Vance Bedford. Sure, he is the DC at Louisville, but offer him a raise and the opportunity to replace Mattison down the road. The defensive backfield becomes a strength in short order. He developed Charles Woodson fergodsakes. |

and I never get another point in this space, I'm cool with that. LOL. But don't get it twisted, you challenged my claims and I offered to oblige you. I am intense because my formative young adult years were spent in the Defense Language Institute preparing to become a Cryptologic Russian Linguist. I got the top secret clearance with SCI/SBI. I speak (or used to) flawless, fluent Russian. I have done things you would neither believe nor can I talk about. While some of you were drinking it up and deciding who could join your clique, I was in survival school preparing to give my life so you could continue to have the right to create boards with groupthink attributes. At heart and in body and spirit, I am still that specially trained patriot. So sue me. I know a little bit about a few things. Including attitude. |
| 16 weeks 2 days ago | My Friend.. |
A few points and I'm done with this exchange because I don't come here for confrontation. Or proving anything to anyone. 1. I know what I said is the truth and that is enough for me. That being said, I live in the metro Detroit area and will meet you for beers and satisfy your challenge if we can work out the logistics. Then, YOU can come on here and vouch for me. Because I could care less. I have no internet soul. I am far beyond others defining what I am or must live up to. 2. Last night I got irritated that some of my posts were negged for no other reason than censorship. I also got my ire up after seeing a couple of young guys giving older guys 'guff'. I don't normally 'talk smack' about my physical status either. But I got a bit tired of some of these youngsters assuming 'fathers' are over the hill. 3. I put all three of my kids through Michigan. I could tell some tales about our great institution that are best left unsaid. 4. Clearly, this is not a place for free exchange of ideas. Democracy. 5. I come here because I fell in love with Michigan one saturday morning around 1970. So much so, that I steered my youngest daughter there despite the fact she was accepted at Harvard. 6. Go Blue. |

to a crisp. Don't you realize this is a communist board? Go along. Get your cult hat on, fer godsakes. As for that game, it was a huge, huge upset at the time. I graduated High School in 1980. To touch on the older guys getting no respect in these parts, all I can say is some of you whippersnappers are lucky we are old enough to have learned restraint. Otherwise, we'd unplug you from the matrix and expose some truths to you that you really don't want to know, just yet. And for the record, I still have a six pack at 50. Can still manage to run a 4.6 (4.3 back then). And could pass for 35. |

Feeling the love. How such an artfully written piece nets a negative one, makes this one, wonder. The too "Kill Bill" machismo was purposely poignant and graphic in order to drive home the point. I repeat, "Blitzkrieg their asses". Bring everything you have in such an awe-inspiring, massive, relentless assault, that they are overwhelmed. This can be about fun, right? |
| 16 weeks 3 days ago | Reduce It To One Key.. |
I would caution against analysis paralysis. To use a street fighting analogy, most street fights are extremely short in duration. Therefore, the prudent martial artist trains for one swift, end of story move. The goal is to have no response from the opponent. So the best instructors arm their students with a variety of moves for different situations with the common denominator being, whichever move you choose to deploy, execute it swiftly and lethally. So, when the decision is made that a physical response cannot be avoided, choose a move and execute it. Analogous to BBall, you practice those bread and butter moves endlessly so that there is no thinking involved in the unfortunate moment you must act. The next time an opponent tries to exploit Michigan physically, the response should be swift and lethal. Whether that be by upping the intensity and running them until they drop dead, or delivering a series of manball stops in the paint, etc. The key is the attitude. The attitude must be, 'You want a piece of me, well then, fine. Choke on it. Because I am going to give you more me than you can handle'. Blitzkrieg their asses. |

| 16 weeks 6 days ago | Michigan Improves Immediately By Using The Brick.. |
I had a younger cousin living in a very tough part of Detroit as a youth. The area was gang infested and he was the oldest of three siblings. I was four years older, but I lived too far away to help him. An older, larger kid, a true bully, took to terrorizing him at around age 11. This kid was evil incarnate. He was around 14 years old. He was known by the precinct cops. His entire family was comprised of generations of thugs. He beat my cousin like a grown man. Sent him home bloodied and eviscerated. My cousin's mom (single parent) went and spoke to the kid's family. The mom threw up her hands and said she couldn't handle him. She then went to the police. This just made the kid angrier. My cousin was reduced to finding new routes home from school and improving his footspeed. Then one day, his mom had enough. When my cousin came running home from school with the bully in hot pursuit, she watched from the window. As her son neared the house, instead of rushing out to intervene, she locked the door. To my cousin's utter horror, as he rushed up the porch and tried the door, he hollered for his mother. And he saw her sitting there in the window as if she didn't care at all. By now the bully was making his way across the lawn. My cousin turned to consider jumping off the porch and running. But then he saw it. A large, fresh brick. Just sitting there by the door. As the bully leapt up onto the porch, he met that brick. Full on in the face. When he got released from the hospital, he wanted to be friends. |
