I think that's a bullshit argument. If the kids are expected to commit to the school regardless of coach, the school should be committed to the kids regardless of coach. The coach, being the representative for the school, needs to uphold that.

That's pretty close to what I do. Recently, though, I've just been using my clippers on my neck to keep it short. If I'm going to some sort of event, I'll actually shave it with the cheap off-brand razors.

I agree for the most part, but I could also make the case that betting on your team to win by 3 runs could alter your tactics if you're only winning by 2.

I'm really hoping that the Lawyer comes back with "I am rubber, you are glue. Bounces off me and sticks to you."

Anytime that Emilia Clarke gets "angry" is a time that you can see how bad of an actress she is. It's like she's trying to make an angry face and snarl while talking.

FWIW, I wasn't attacking him. I was just making a joke based off of conclusions that you could logically come to from what the OP had written.
Understand basketball -> Think Battle is great
which leads to
Don't think Battle is great -> Don't understand basketball
OP doesn't think Battle is great -> OP doesn't understand basketball
It just a nod back to my discrete mathematics class.

By his own words, he doesn't know anything about the sport. I'm thinking that may be a contributing factor.

I moved to Ann Arbor when I was 7. In California, everyone plays soccer on the playground. In Michigan, everyone plays football. To learn football, I followed the home team.

I'm betting on the latter. There are other subtle hints toward that.

Yea, because that's what has driven people to the show in the first place...the discretion shown by the writers when handling these delicate situations.

"At this point, most of her actions in the book are driven by paranoia"
And also her ego leading her to believe that she can rule better than she really can. She thinks that she can make these complex tactical moves when she can barely form a cohesive strategy. They play this off in the show as her trying to remove opposition on the small coucil, which is close, but still not quite what's in the books.

Well, yea, but he also killed the last assailant who would have probably killed him after killing Selmy, i.e. Grey Worm becomes the last man standing rather than a Harpy.

I'm pretty sure that Grey Worm is alive. D&D have been setting something up between him and Missandei. It wouldn't make much sense to do that and then kill him off.

Ok, seriously? R+L=J is enough for a clever person to get spoiled on, but this basically gives it away. What don't people get about not posting spoilers?

I don't know which sport you're talking about, but take a look at coachhuey.com (it's football). I'd go to the youth section and post your question there. They also have some threads on offense and defense at the youth level if you are coaching football (seems young for football, but idk).
I will tell you that your job as coach is basically to make sure that you have the proper number of players on the field. I've never coached, but I have reffed kids before, and it's a blast, but those kids have no idea what is going on. There is a ball on the field and they are going to try to do something to that ball, but that's about as much as you can expect out of that age group. I got into reffing for the same reasons that you listed and I think that's the right direction for you to go at that age level.

Lacrosse took care of this a few years ago by making contact to the head or neck a mandatory penalty as well as also making certain situations like hitting defenseless players a severe penalty. The helmets now serve the purpose of protecting incidental contact and you get hit hard with penalties if they are made to be used for anything more than that.
I know they've done this for certain situations for football, but they don't enforce them often enough and the situations don't include enough of the game. If they made helmet to helmet contact illegal for linemen and leading with the helmet illegal for ball carriers, they could remove a lot of use of the head. However, that won't happen because "it would turn into flag football". Sure the game would change to more spread and less action in the pits, but you'd see a significant decrease in concussions and long-term brain damage.

Whose fault is that? These threads have been around for the last few seasons and it is obvious that there are going to be spoilers. If you are googling the books, then that's on you too. It's not really that difficult to read the books before the seasons come out (I've read them as the show progressed), so don't complain about it in the damn thread dedicated to talking about the events of the show.

"but this isn't late night porno’s on skin-i-max, its suppose to be a TV show, there is at least 1-2 sex scenes an episode now"
People have sex. It is counter-intuitive to hide it. Really this stems from the American culture where sex and nudity are taboo which is just odd if you think about it. In America, things get adult ratings for nudity and swearing too much. In other parts of the world, things get adult ratings for violence and gore, but I have never heard anyone talk about complain about how much gore is in the TV show.
Now, I do agree that some of the scenes are pointless. Loras' scene is the obvious one, although they did have some conversation about their plans going forward. Pod's brothel scene was another, although that led to some comic relief. Missandei's scene last season and the scene where the unsullied was killed are obviously there to build something between her and Grey Worm. A lot of these scenes are there for the transformation process of certain characters, so having them in the show rather than just alluded to is better way to go about the character development, IMO.
