Yes, it benefits UM not to have Izzo develope players for the NBA. They can have all the Final Fours they want, just as long as they don't have players leave early for the NBA.
This is very wize thinking--it benefits us greatly.

Totally agree. While Izzo pisses us all off, the Big Ten is known for playing it clean. NO ONE has ever hinted at Izzo being dirty. Bo Ryan is Dracula, but he only sucks the blood out of 4 year players. Take your "dirty" shit to the SEC.
Edit: Sorry, this is meant for Butterfield.

I'm glad JH handed down a worse sentence than Dantonio will be giving his thugs. Practice (and running) is for winners. Missing practice is a huge pusnishment!

Is this the first time Pelini has heard clapping. Doubt it. Is this the first time he got his arse handed to him by Sparty. Yup.

And, you must have missed the part where Hoke has called for a targeting rule violation. Targeting involves shots with the crown of the helmet to the head/neck. I don't know about your dome, but most people's helmet-covered crown won't cover someone's head/neck AND chest.

No. A one or two game suspension for DUI is what is ridiculous.

"BLONDES>BRUNETTES?: Since Michigan redshirt sophomore kicker Brendan Gibbons finished an impressive season (13-for-17 on field goals) by hitting a game-winning 37-yard field goal in overtime to defeat Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl, there’s been a lot of talk about brunettes.
After the game on Tuesday, Gibbons said that before the kick, he simply envisioned brunette girls and it helped him relax. He said it was a strategy that Hoke suggested to him.
On Thursday, Hoke gave his side of the story.
At the end of practice each Thursday, Hoke has Gibbons line up for a kick. Usually, Hoke calls a couple timeouts to ice the kicker.
The first time Gibbons lined up for the kick with Hoke at the helm, Hoke pulled him aside during the time out.
“What makes ya happy?” Hoke asked him.
“Well, I like the sand, the water and pretty girls.”
And, according to Hoke, “That’s the end of the story.”

Here, here. While so many are going through mental contortions to justify the actions of the university, forgotten are a campus full of women who count on administration to do the right thing and protect them.

Sure, the facts are just flying out of this case. I'd wait, too. A follow up will probably happen in 2020. You might want to have a snack handy...

It supposedly happened over 3 years ago. So, UM allowed this guy to stay on the team while it conducted a three year long investigation? Nice. I bet the victim feels comforted by the timely action.

That's exactly it. Other teams don't need to say a word, either. Everything that needs to be said is screaming from the football field every Saturday.

Yes, it matters. Face it, football is a grown-up man's game. When a smaller guy makes a splash, they make a movie about him, he gets laid by hot Catholic chicks, and he never has to buy another beer.

|4 years 18 weeks ago||The only reason Izzy had to||
The only reason Izzy had to sit was because it's a new rule that requires any contact- intentional or not, to be dealt with. Hitting Izzy with a game guarantee every D1 coach will take the rule book to bed with them tonight. Something tells me, too, Izzy won't be the last because the rule is vague.
|4 years 25 weeks ago||Not so much, anymore.||
Not so much, anymore. There's too much pressure to win in college football--the whole athletic department counts on football to fund the crew team, etc, for the football to team to struggle.
If, for whatever reason, the Big House doesn't fill whoever is coach is gone.
|4 years 26 weeks ago||Don't think it can't happen.||
Don't think it can't happen. It happened at ND, and every other major university. We've been lucky--so far. The Bo pipeline has dried up. We are in very, very dangerous territory right now. People should think twice about getting rid of RR. If it were that easy to just go out and get a winner, every big-time football school would never have a down cycle.
