Dear Warde Manuel
The Bobs: What would you say ya *do* here, exactly?
Warde: I told you. I’m the AD. I’m in charge of hiring and firing the head coaches here.
The Bobs: so you actually make the decision to fire coaches?
Warde: well … no. My Univ Pres actually decides that.
The Bobs: uh huh. Uh huh. Well thanks for coming in
*Warde exits*
The Bobs: we can get rid of that guy easily.
I told those f-ers that I like Michael Bolton
It was all fine until I was 12 years old and that no-talent assclown started winning Grammys.
NTTAWWT
I mean it is sort of inherent to the meaning of the phrase that that is a good thing...
Pretty please, with sugar on top. Clean the fuckin’ car!
The athletic director does a lot more than just hire and fire coaches...
OP been jumping to conclusions.
I’m drinking Jameson and enjoying a nice… (record scratch)
Ooops!! Sorry, thought this was the drinking thread! Looks like the ‘quit drinking and go to bed’ thread.
“Warde, so…..what would you say YOU DO HERE?” 🤷♂️
Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
Sorry, who are the Bobs?
You have never seen Office Space?
Possibly Mike Judge’s greatest work (and I like a lot of his work). Still completely relevant today.
Back up in your ass with the resurrection
Honestly, I've seen Office Space a half dozen times and I had no idea what they were talking about either. I know a lot of you out there can quote stuff out of all sorts of shows, but some of us never remember any of those quotes, not matter how many times you see and hear them.

Me either, any movie that has Jennifer Aniston in it, I don't pay attention to the dialog ;)
You clearly don't have any pieces of flair.
He just has the bare minimum, and well, we know what it says about a person who does the minimum. Some people choose to do more and we encourage that.

Maybe he didn't get the memo about the new TPS cover sheets.
I don't know who the Bobs are either. Of course I'm a boomer who remembers when the tattooed lady was a freak attraction at the circus and not the woman who lives across the street.

Remember the discount circus where they had “really huge midgets”?
PC load letter? The f*ck does that mean?!
Damn it feels good to be a gangster
"They wanna ban us on Capital Hill,
'Cause it's die muthafucka, die muthafucka still fool..."
"Still" by the Geto Boys is one of the greatest cuts of the 90s. It's my goto when I'm mad at the whole fucking world. Which, yeah, does happen.
The only legitimate reaction to this...
not often in a movie the actor looks into the camera like that
He did it perfectly
We didn't fire him. We just didnt renew his contract and it fixed the glitch, so it will work itself out naturally.
Underrated comment here. Tip of the cap to you sir.
The ratio of people to cake was too big.
Hold on there professor, we *fixed* the glitch
I'm going to ask you what I ask myself every time I step in front of a mirror: what are you doing?
i watched this about a month ago, and i had to IMDB it to see if that was Verne Lundquist. It is not.
Gtfoh.
We find it's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.
Friday is actually a GOOD day for bad news. The media runs the story but people have all weekend to do something else and forget about the main story. Companies and politicians use the Friday announcements all the time.
Absolutely...the Friday news dump, when shit gets thrown over the fence. Lots of people love Friday's not me, it's then when things gets crazy just in time to be stressed out over the weekend knowing you have to clean it up on Monday.
and holiday season, great time to dump bad news if you can wait that long.
The Friday news dump used to mean late afternoon on Friday, back when news was in papers and on TV, because fewer people paid attention late Friday or over the weekend.
With news now 24 hour streaming, available on our phones, the late Friday afternoon dump is less effective, though still used.
But an announcement and press release on Friday morning is not a news dump because it's not avoiding anything, especially when it's clear on Thursday that it's coming. It's still fully in normal news cycles.
Having worked in corporate America I've found that Thursdays are actually the day for layoffs and firings. Lot of people take off for 3 day weekends on Fridays so you aren't guaranteed that they will be there. It also gives HR a day to get paperwork done without being the next week.
Anonymous webkins, striking the mighty when they're a little bit down--lots of self-awareness at work here, no?
Warde has been incredibly UNDERWHELMING its time for him to EXIT as well
