This is where I'm at work…

This is where I'm at with basketball as well. The stance and structure on NIL is idiotic at best and it will continue to bury the basketball program into a deeper and deeper hole. Even if we move on and hire a new coach, it won't really matter.

Football can overcome a bit easier just because of the sheer number of players brought in each year.

They don't have Ekeler. He's…

They don't have Ekeler. He's a free agent and they have no money to spend on him. Ekeler has already said he won't be back.

“I'm not going to be with these guys anymore, and it's one of those journeys that I'll always remember,” Ekeler said, per The Athletic's Daniel Popper. “But sad that it has to end.”

The defense is about effort…

The defense is about effort just isn't true. Tschetter tries harder than anyone on defense and he's literally one of the worst defenders in college basketball.

Ekeler is a free agent and…

Ekeler is a free agent and the Chargers are $55M over the cap. He's gone and they'll have to cut some of their other best/highest paid guys this year as well.

To answer the original post's questions. No, I won't root for the Chargers. Been a Pats fan since the mid-90s. And he won't win a Super Bowl with a second rate franchise.

Chargers are nowhere near …

Chargers are nowhere near "win now". They're $27.5M over the cap, so they're going to have to release some of their best players (Bosa, Mack). Ekeler is a free agent and is gone. Mike Williams is likely gone after the '24 season.

They're a rebuild project.

Their home games are away…

Their home games are away games? (fan support wise)

Hate that anyone gave them a…

Hate that anyone gave them a lifeline. Diamond/Bally deserved to die a bankruptcy death. $20/month for a terrible app and no worthwhile content outside of the games.

I live in Indy and we get Pacers, Fever, and the St Louis Blues with Bally(I have met one Blues fan in the Indy area in my lifetime). So $20/month for the Pacers. I'll sail the seas.

I'm driving up from Indianapolis when this happens. Have to be there!

I love that Michigan is in…

I love that Michigan is in it, but this is the worst postseason in all of sports. It's so idiotic it's 2023 and there isn't a real playoff when every other level of football has one.

Thankfully, it's FINALLY being fixed next year.

Gives us the chance to beat…

Gives us the chance to beat a piece of shit MSU coach. Go Blue!

I think it's obvious what happened. Harbaugh used Jewish space lasers to directly inject cryptocurrency into Stalions' bloodstream. Stalions is now a walking ATM and can buy anything with his biometrics.

Open your eyes sheeple!

Ummmm, this is what every…

Ummmm, this is what every team on earth does. Offense audibles, defense goes to one of their checks.

Can't target them when you…

Can't target them when you never pass.

How my boys and I always used it.

Are we going to curb stomp PSU today? Bet.

Slang always changes, but it…

Slang always changes, but it can also mean "for sure". I'm 41 and that's how my group always used it.

That's probably a correct…

That's probably a correct assessment considering the collective brain of the NCAA is really fucking stupid.

I was really hoping we could…

I was really hoping we could have this combo with the addition of being 1997 throwbacks. It would have been perfect this year with all the bullshit going on. Kick their teeth in just like we did in '97!

Florida? They're on the list…

Florida? They're on the list of best academic schools? I put them on the list to send my SAT scores and I got an acceptance letter. I didn't even apply. I don't feel like the best academic schools ever used that approach.

I actually had to apply to Michigan, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Auburn, etc. to get accepted.

Another L for the White Sox…

Another L for the White Sox. Him and Stone together were the only good part of last season outside of Luis Robert. Tigers get a great one!

Doyel is the same dumbfuck…

Doyel is the same dumbfuck that went scorched earth about Deflategate. He ended up having to write an "I was wrong" column because Deflategate was a made up hit piece from one of the most pathetic franchises in the NFL. His opinion is pointless.

We for sure are. We exist…

We for sure are. We exist. Hail Odin!

Piggybacking on my own…

Piggybacking on my own bullshit, there will never be a fair shake with the media here. As a Patriots fan, I know all too well. "Deflategate" required the complete and total denial of science and no member of the media truly backtracked on their ignorant as fuck hot takes.

I'm not ChatGPT, but I can…

I'm not ChatGPT, but I can give a synopsis of how we all should approach this.

Fuck everyone else, GO BLUE!

"Deflategate" is all you…

"Deflategate" is all you need to know about responsible sports journalism. It doesn't exist. It's TMZ reporting now and we're just left to laugh in the faces of the whiny losers. The best thing to do is embrace the hate and keep kicking ass.

It didn't matter. It was…

It didn't matter. It was debunked by 23 physics professors at universities across the country.

Whoa! Some damning…

Whoa! Some damning photographic evidence there. These photos bring out all the dirt of...analyst is on sideline during game.

MY GOD!

Just keep winning. That…

Just keep winning. That proves this didn't matter at all. Just like "Spygate" with the Patriots. What changed after that? Nothing. They remained the most consistently dominant team in the NFL for 20 years. "Spygate" meant dick.

Win, win, and win some more.

My experience in Orlando has…

My experience in Orlando has been a cakewalk compared to Charlotte. The past couple of times I flew out of Orlando, I spent less than 15 minutes in security.

My favorites are…

My favorites are Indianapolis (hometown) and Minneapolis. Indy is just so easy. With pre-check, I can park my car 20 minutes before boarding and make it to my gate with 5-10 minutes to spare. Minneapolis has plenty of restaurants and shops to kill time on a layover. I also like that it's bigger so I can walk around before I have to sit in a plane seat for multiple hours.

I can't believe there's so few mentions of Charlotte as the worst. That airport is unbelievably bad. Shouldn't be surprised considering it's an American Airlines hub. If you ever land early in Charlotte, don't get excited. You're going to be sitting on the tarmac for 30-45 mins. Good luck ever connecting to a flight there. Better be wearing running shoes. Don't worry though, you'll have about 50 people from other flights joining you and your fellow passengers in a mad dash through the airport. God I hate that fucking place.

1. Blue

2. Airport even though I actively hate so many people in the airport. Idiots on speaker phone, people who have no idea how to board/de-board a plane (so many of them), etc.

3. Shake hands. This is the correct answer.

4. Ditka. He'd win the Indy 500 driving Da Bears bus too.

5. Awesome mom, helps me grow and improve without nitpicking and trying to change who I am, supports my Michigan fandom wholeheartedly.

It might be an alley, but they used two cars to block the victim in. Did both cars need to make sure her vehicle was trapped?

So in Alabama you can take…

So in Alabama you can take someone their loaded weapon, block in the victim's car with your car, and have the DA say "there's nothing we could charge him with"?

Then your coach also does absolutely nothing and completely downplays the severity of a young mother being murdered?

Amazing.

A lot of the regression was…

A lot of the regression was due to Tampa having the worst o-line in the league.

Hunter's good defense as a…

Hunter's good defense as a freshman was the result of having the best wing defender in college (Franz), and very good, disciplined defenders in Eli and Livers.

Tom had two quotes about…

Tom had two quotes about coaching when he was with the Pats. The first, "Oh, hell no!". The second,  “Coaching wouldn’t be for me. No, certainly not. I like playing. I wouldn’t be a good coach. I don’t have the patience to be a coach.”

The answer is obvious. SCOTT FROST!

Have a great night everyone. I'm here all week. Tip your servers.

G'town has one winning…

G'town has one winning season in Ewing's tenure. They have never won a single March Madness game. Comparing Juwan to Ewing shows how woefully little you know about basketball.

Exactly. Hunter is a…

Exactly. Hunter is a terrible leader. People talk about Juwan not developing him enough, but there's plenty of track record of other guys developing under Juwan. Look at what Bam Adebayo or Hassan Whiteside have to say about how Juwan developed them. Look at how X developed. Franz's improvement from freshman year to sophomore year. Kobe's improvement we're watching right now. Austin Davis, Teske, Eli, Diabate. These are all guys who clearly improved under Howard's leadership of the program. You even could see small improvements from Hunter last year.

Still, Hunter is the outlier. Some players are not reachable and that's the category I put Hunter in. He's a selfish player. See his comments last year about DJ. See his comment of "I'll take however long I want to get post position" this year. You need guys like Livers, Franz, Eli, or Chaundee to keep Hunter from even trying to be a vocal leader. Him in a leadership position is not good at all.

Now, we'll probably see one of Hunter's best efforts on Sunday. Not because he cares more all of a sudden, but because of his feeling of being slighted by Maryland's recruiting of him. All about Hunter, all the time. This is basically what the football team was going through with players now coming out and talking about changing the culture away from me-first players.

(No subject)

These anger issue takes are…

These anger issue takes are ridiculous. I bet the Spurs considered canning Pop because he got ejected from 18 games when his "anger issues" occurred.

I also remember the Spurs having serious discussions about cutting David Robinson when he exploded on refs and was ejected. David Robinson definitely had serious anger issues. I can only hope he found the help he needed.

Tempers flare in sports. It…

Tempers flare in sports. It happens to everyone. Even Pop has been ejected multiple times for blowing up and he's about as calm as they come.

Hell, even David Robinson lost his mind on an official and got thrown out of a game. It just happens. Juwan is being overanalyzed on this front.

Well, this was a typical…

Well, this was a typical Dickinson outing against Bacot. Bacot has thoroughly embarrassed Hunter in back to back seasons. Bacot is really good at showing why Hunter has no chance of playing in the NBA. Super fun to watch.

The way the blog has talked…

The way the blog has talked about OSU football being "SAWFT" applies directly to our hoops team. Player leadership doesn't exist. It's evident from the fact that they think they can just cruise during the "easy" games on the schedule.

Strangulation is a leading…

Strangulation is a leading indicator that the abuser will escalate to homicide. There's been plenty of studies on the subject and I remember seeing a stat that stated a woman who suffers nonfatal strangulation is 750% more likely to be killed by the strangler.

Beard has put himself in the class of the most dangerous domestic violence abusers.
