Thanks for pointing out that important clarification, in particular for those who didn't or won't click your link.  Being a rivalry game and that there's plenty of time to reschedule, I'd be very surprised if we don't see some schedule adjustments very soon.

If it doesn't get rescheduled, I'm going to remember this, Villari-style, as the game when Jace Howard had 32 points and 17 rebounds in a 20-point win for Michigan.

Excellent timing.  I’m sure Sparty slappies will be making a stink (i.e. our football cancellation with OSU the prior season)

MSU fans reaction to this is so typical. They'd rather play Michigan walk ons, almost certainly get a covid outbreak as a result, and miss multiple games than not play us because we're they're fucking super bowl. Their little brother syndrome is endemic

What are the odds that the season cannot be fully completed?

Do they fully vaccinate the entire basketball program?

I hope that all of our Michigan basketball players can overcome this and get back to full health very soon.

I'll share with you what a few sparty fans said at my local gym this morning that we were ducking them and just like we ducked ohio state in the 2020 football season. I gave that guy a dirty look and was ready to pounce but he didn't bite. (FWIW)

As someone who is currently dealing with a COVID outbreak at home, it's no fun and anyone saying a team is trying to duck MSU is full of shit.  Yes, everyone's vaccinated so it's relatively mild but it's absolutely serious enough that you don't want to expose others to getting sick either.

And I know it may be hard for some MSU fans to accept but it's probably good that MSU isn't playing a team with an outbreak; per OSU MSU played a bunch of guys with the flu in their game and that led to OSU's defense forgetting how to play football for 1.75 games.  MSU getting an outbreak could absolutely put their season in jeopardy for a week or two.
