I don't think Hoke will be around next year, but whoever the Coach is, Hoke or the Next Man Up will be BIG Coach of the Year. This team will be ready by next fall. Stout front seven on D and a maturing O line. Ty and Green in a backfield with a game manager, Speight or Morris will do. The DB's are solid as will be our playmakers on the outside. As long as the new Coach plays power football the players will fit the scheme and get 10 plus wins. If we change back to spread tempo, we will be doomed for another 5 years.

Apparently Funchess just had an amazing one handed catch!

Coach Beilein was upset because he felt the referee Terry Wymer bumped him with his nose. I watched it several times to read his lips and when the 2nd official came over, that's what he told him, "he bumped me", and kept pointing to his face. Wymer is a NW Ohio guy and an arrogant pile.

Do you think the Ol' Ball Coach doesn't know exactly how hurt he is? I'm sure the trainers are working on Clowney around the clock and reporting directly back to Spurrier. Clowney has been pulling this Julio Jones garbage since fall camp. You may see this problem as the exploitation of college kids?, but I see it has a societal problem, "do it all for the money."

Nashville's ok, but only if you like great live music, good night life and attractive women.

Maker's Mark on the rocks tonight. It could be better, but not much
|2 years 16 weeks ago||Mexican Wrestler||
I was 19 and in a bar in Windsor. We were playing shot challenge with our friends across the bar. It started nice, Washington Apples, Vodka, whiskey, but it got ugly quick. The last shot of the night was sent to my friend and I, a Mexican Wrestler chased by a Cement Mixer...I filled my draft glass with vomit and it spilled over onto the bar, my friend was lucky enough to make it outside before he spilled his guts. That was shortly after a 1997 UM National Title, oh what a night!

I would love to see the Fab Five show up in the ATL together, but I can't imagine it happening. For me and most who watched those teams they revolutionized the college game, much like Larry and Magic did for the NBA. I knew it was something special and I was only 15. I actually wore my CWeb jersey out in public last year for a fan day at work, I got some crazy looks

That's the one and only. Should probably reproduce some short shorts too!

If you're old enough, this ass-whooping feels like the Virginia 89 Elite 8 game. Unbelievable game!

I had the loudest, silent celebration that can be imagined with my 3 year old and wife sleeping above me. Got turned on to Dominion Stout tonight, my new lucky beer!
|2 years 18 weeks ago||Hand check||
I agree that the hand check needs to be called a lot more often. Ohio defenders start with one hand on the waist, quite an advantage.

The only thing better than a UM win is watching Duke and Coach K get beat
|2 years 23 weeks ago||Mercury||
I loved the Mercury Hayes TD against Virginia to win the season opener in 94. I was 15 and and it was the most memorable feelng a sporting event has ever given me. Just remembering that whole day puts a smile on my face!
|2 years 24 weeks ago||Handcheck||
I think the rule that needs to be enforced is the handcheck. If they start calling this it would allow a more free flowing game and allow for more cuts and dribble penetration.
|2 years 24 weeks ago||I don't understand||
Why as a defender should I not be allowed to stand in a position without getting run over? I actually think they should call more charges, this way a player might have to develop a mid range jumper, instead of just dunks and 3 pt. shots.
|2 years 24 weeks ago||Regonal officials||
There may not be strictly BIG 10 officials, but the officials that ref BIG games don't generally travel out of the region. Terry Wymer did both OSU-UM games and almost every Buckeye game according to their fans. From same area as Aaron Craft and they refer to him as their 6th man.
|2 years 24 weeks ago||I was thinking that it would||
I was thinking that it would help us during OT, but then I watched the beginning of UNC and The U and I felt the officials let them play through 3 early fouls. HS Bball in Ohio is trending the way of " let them play" as well. I hate it, as it uglies up the game and penalizes aestetichally pleasing bball so that less talented or more poorly coached teams can compete.

Donnal is going to be tough to redshirt. I've seen him play a couple of times and there is not another player like him in Ann Arbor right now. He can be effective out to 22-23 feet, can play with his back to the basket. He also runs well and has good lift. Unless one of the other bigs improves their range I can see him getting some serious minutes at the 4, with GRIII sliding to the 3 if he sticks around. I can see him getting McGary type minutes, with more offensive production and less on the defensive end.

Still wearing my Denard jersey. I think this is the most I will miss a player since CWebb left early.
|3 years 41 weeks ago||Denard failed to make the||
Denard failed to make the quick reads against the blitz and failed to scramble, his best attribute, when the lanes were there. I don't know that DG is the answer, but putting Denard at tailback would certainly solve our other big problem in the backfield. And before you say that Denard couldn't handle the beating, our it's the lines fault the RB's don't gain yards. Denard already, before yesterday, runs the ball 20-25 times a game and he already runs the power play for good yards with the same line.
I love Denard, but it is not the winds fault when you overthrow your receivers by 10 yards...in Evanston.
That puts our best 11 on the field and I think Devin would be very effective running the zone read with Denard...it would open up the playbook. Can you imagine a screen to Denard?
