Yuri Wright to Colorado

Submitted by jaggs on

Please tell me we were still recruiting him!

Buffstampede.com has all the Yuri Wright news coming your way. Huge get for #Colorado.

I would be forever grateful if he had a committable offer from Michigan and got to watch a live stream of Brian eating a lemon lol. EDIT: Yes, I know we stopped pursuing him and bet is void, a man can dream can't he?

EDIT II: How does one get a scholarship when they have been expelled from school for their senior year? How does he graduate and become elegible?

Is Mr. Wright aware that Colorado indefinitely suspended its "women for players and recruits" program a few years ago?  Maybe they're restarting it.

It still sickens me that the blog posted his protected tweets. He shouldn't have posted them, but I just wonder if he would have had more opportunities with the better types of schools.

That's one of the best oxymorons I've come across lately.

From the Twitter corporate website:

"Accounts with protected Tweets require manual approval of each and every person who may view that account's Tweets. Only approved followers can view Tweets made on these accounts."

There is nothing that I see here to absolutely prevent an approved follower from passing on the information in the tweet to non-approved outsiders.

It's just as stupid as assuming that all of your emails are forever and always never going to be passed on by the recipients, even when you're emailing pictures of your dick.

He and his father will have to satisfy their unmitigated Jewish lady bloodlust via snowball fights now; Colorado is utterly lacking in puddles with which to splash them.

teens who will lose out on opportunities because of their tweets or facebook posts. I am a high school teacher, and I had a student tell me he was tweeting and that I should check it out. After checking TomVH, I went on and saw what this kid's tweets. Pretty tame over all. But then I saw many other students were following this kid, and so I clicked on their accounts. One kid used his twitter to deal weed, another spewed white supremist crap, and many others said things that would have made Mr. Wright blush. Plus, there were kids calling teachers fags and cunts. None of these kids are D-1 athletes, and I had to report the weed kid and white supremicist.

Kids (my old guy comment) may know how to use technology but they also have no filter, and many of them are just trying to get a laugh - and be as outrageous as possible to attain one.

YW's tweets were appalling, but I doubt he's the pussy-obsessed, white-woman coveting teen he unfortunately  portrayed himself as to the entire world.

I hope he figures it out...

...it's not identification with the authorities that would make us old fucks turn in white-supremecist, misogonystic, profanity-spewing, disrespectful, obnoxious, drug-dealing or otherwise blight-on-society punk kids using social media to broadcast their pathetic rantings...
we would do it because we CAN! Whooo... scoreboard, baby!

I think Brian should eat a raw lemon anyway. Not because of the bet, but just to ward off scurvy. We can't have fearless leader get MGoJaundiced!

best of luck to him. Boulder is a party town. I know many people that went there. hopefully the coaches can maximize his potential on and off the field.

It seems like Colorado is taking chances on prospects this year.  It is rumored that Desean Rippy is favoring Colorado, but he might not even have the grades to qualify.

Don Bosco is a private school.  There is nothing to stop him from transferring to and graduating from his local high school.

In fact I doubt the public school would have been able to expel him for his twitter offenses.

There are a lot of people who are bitter on these boards after a recruit de-commits or commits somewhere else and post useless nonsense like "we didn't want him anyway," but I think this is a clear cut case of "we didn't want him anyway."

I think Hoke and Co. are absolutely doing the right thing in terms of recruiting kids with high character, or at least kids smart enough not to tweet some obviously self-harming things.  I am very happy that we stopped recruiting him and he did not come to Michigan.
