What gives me confidence against Georgia

We've played two similar teams this year, Iowa and Wisconsin. Teams with stellar defenses and limited offenses (we also fit in this category).  We scored 42 points and 38 points against them respectively...

Georgia will be a huge challenge but I like our match up.

You are correct, Vlad. Georgia can pass. Their QB is not as good as Ohio State's, however. But their WR are comparable in talent, but taller. That's a challenge for us.

In the Alabama game, the Georgia TE Bowers was a load.

Hope is not lost, as Michigan shut down Iowa's sturdy TEs after half. Our defense is up to the task!

Georgia's defense is top in the NCAA. They were exposed by Alabama through the air. Let's go blue!

LGB!! They are gonna give JJ more snaps. That will open things up and put more pressure on Georgia's D. They will make mistakes if we play JJ more.

As of this moment, I am seeing in Vegas GA -9 to GA -7.  If that's the current line, either one of those...Get on that UM action in Vegas NOW. RIGHT NOW. That line is gonna drop fast. Georgia's QB is mediocre at best, and UM is the best all-around team in the country. 28 days from now, that line will be GA -3 or GA -4.

I've never bet on college football in my entire life, but I am putting $100 on UM right now with whichever online betting site is willing to give me the ridiculous idea that the game should be GA -9.

You know, XM, that was my original thought as well.  But Cincy is scrappy, efficient on offense and defense and plays their balls off.  Luke Fickell is a really good coach.  I think Cincy takes this one to the wire but probably loses in heartbreaking fashion.

I am all about the underdogs in the semi-finals.  Give me Michigan +7.5 (shit, give me Michigan ML) and Cincy +13.5.

I am glad we got Georgia.  I want Georgia.  They have over confidence.  They think we won’t score points.  They think they will neutralize our pass rush.

I want Georgia.

I think Georgia may be a tougher match up than Alabama. Alabama wouldn’t be easy either, but they’re similar to OSU. Pressuring the QB would also be the most important key against them and Michigan is better equipped to do that than anyone else. Like OSU, Alabama’s defense isn’t as good as their offense, so Michigan would have a better chance of doing what they want to do when they have the ball.

Against Georgia, I think they’re going to have an even harder time than they had against Iowa running consistently and it’s going to be tougher to break the big plays that made up for it yesterday. If it plays out that way, it’s going to put a heavier burden on McNamara’s shoulders than he’s built for. The defense is going to need to play their best game to keep the score within reach.

Man have the bulldogs had a rough week. First they think they’re going to cruise to an undefeated season, be ranked #1 and get a favorable cinci matchup. Now, they’ve been trounced by their rival and instead of the bearcats, they have to line up against Michigan?!? Are any of them happy and excited about their matchup? They have got to be real bummed.

Georgia Alabama was the first Georgia game I've watched. Several things that look good for us:

1. QB who looks very mortal under pressure, OSU echoes.

2. Oline that didn't hold up.

3. (this was the biggest one) missed defensive assignments, like shockingly bad missed defensive assignments. This was a first half problem more than a second half problem, but Bama established its lead not because it burned GA's secondary, but because nobody bothered to even cover Bama receivers on multiple occasions. CBS announcers were too busy fellating SEC to notice.

Georgia is a good team, but if we play like we have the past 2 weeks, we absolutely will beat them.

I just asked the Magic Eight Ball whether we'll beat Georgia in the Orange Bowl. It was correct for both the Ohio State and Iowa games, even when asked multiple times. It gave me an emphatic "YES." I didn't even get that kind of one word certainty with the other two games, which were "Outlook is good" and "You may rely on it." So.....let's score 42 on them!

I don't think we have stellar defense with a limited offense. I think we have a good defense that makes timely plays (bend but don't break). Our offense is the #2 scoring offense in the B1G which in my opinion isn't very limited. Certainly an interesting matchup. Their TE Bowers seems like a stud, our LB's have to be on their game in pass D.
