Weber: "I'm Still Considering Them [MSU]"

Submitted by alum96 on

Sounds like Weber may catch the game today in EL which on the surface is no biggie.  Considering the circumstances around the program I guess the fact he is still considering MSU is also not a surprise.  The term "commit" is not meaning much right now.

Per Wiltfong:

Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech Top247 running back and Michigan commit Michael Weber tells 247Sports he may visit Michigan State this afternoon for the Spartans game against the Wolverines.

Several of Weber's teammates will be in East Lansing and he said he may use one of their tickets.

"I'm (still) considering them," Weber said of Michigan State.

The nation's No. 13 running back according to the 247Sports Composite, Weber led his team to a city championship Friday evening, carrying just 11 times for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and adding a 76-yard scoring reception. He played just three quarters in the 39-7 win over previously undefeated King.

Weber is the country's No. 112 prospect overall.

the "easy W" - Have you not watched MSU this year? Or how they play us ever?

Dantonio and crew get these kids ready for a street fight, where Brady prepares them for a football game. Thats the difference. Michigan comes with a game plan, and MSU comes with a chip on their shoulder. Now they have an offense, I dont expect for this to be an "easy" W. Honestly, I hope we win, but im not expecting much.

Aaaannnnddd wait and see what next year might bring.

If the present regime comes back en-toto we might be fondly reminiscing about 2014 as "the good old days".

Take the entire class away, hell take Peppers if it means we'll be good again. And not normal good, no, Arrogant Michigan good. Other schools call it elite.

3 losses before postseason is a bad year, 2 losses is decent, but we compete for national postseason championships.

People going to have to swallow their pride to return to "Arrogant MIchigan" good. This would mean retaining one of: Les Miles (with Cam Cameron and John Chavis/Swag Mattison), Jim Tressel or any Harbaugh).

The Michigan fanbase members who have trouble with various of these candidates would need to stop the bs about "the right way" and all that emoting about "I don't want Michigan winning that way" etc etc.

He should do what he feels is good for him. Let us stop this "MSU is a powerhouse". M is not. We had bad years. So what. It will get better. It has to. Didn't you just see M bring in 113,000 fans last game. And MSU had a hard time selling out the game against NEB. Win or lose, we will be back and it will turn around. Everyone will be back on the bandwagon. Go Blue!

Why? Because if we lose, we will never be good. Odds are stacked against us this year. It does not mean it will not change. Yes, it sucks. But defeat is what shapes character and new mentality. It takes time, but I have faith in our university. Hope springs eternal. Go Blue! Win or lose.

No different than what Texas, Fla or Miami is going through now either. This program has lame duck status now and recruits know it as well.
