This is a pointless thing to post because they literally came out and admitted that they have no idea who he will choose. Clearly they haven't followed his recruitment, so their opinions are beyond worthless

But I'd like it back.  They basically said it would be one of either Alabama, Florida or Michigan.  And gave no real reason or insight for their picks.  So I learned nothing other than the Washington Post is not above click-whoring.

I think he's going to choose Florida. I think he's going to choose Michigan because that's what I think. I think it's going to be Alabama because that's the only school we haven't mentioned in this video. Derp. Derp. Derp.

I hope he goes Blue, but honestly, if you were looking at Michigan today vs Alabama, just the two programs, why wouldn't you go there?  Better team and much better conference.

maybe the kid wants to start from day 1 which he probably wont do at alabama, and like i have said before if he chooses alabama because of engineering then he isnt true to his word because thats why he dropped VT early in the process because they only had engineering and not sports management and they also had his favorite coach so why if you are gonna bring engineerring back in wouldnt you give VT another chance just my 2 cents i believe he chose sports masnagement and was blown away by it and i truly believe he is a kid of his word and will choose michigan tomorrow

Coaching preference, team atmosphere, academics, campus atmosphere, early PT. Chicks, affinity to certain traditions, jerseys, helmets, stadium atmosphere, childhood fandom, money(?). Etc. There are hundreds of things a guy considers when choosing his college. Quality of the team is not always a trump, and conference almost never is.

so they put the schools in a hat and each one drew a school. I've watched a lot of dumb videos in my life but that one tops them all. Wish I could have that time back

We are fooling ourselves if we think he is coming here.  Alabama is the superior program right now and regularly puts its stars in the pros.  Be happy we have Black and an otherwise very good class.

This is such a dumb outlook. Lots of recruits don't pick the team that is winning the most right now. This happens all the time. Throughout our history we have lost recruits we really want to schools lesser than us, and the same happens to Alabama every year. Living out west, I can't tell you how many big CA recruits have picked schools like Cal, ASU or Washington when they had a USC offer (the Bama equivalent until a few years ago). And it's not like we're Kent State. I know we've lost two (two!) games in a row, but this is still a pretty fucking good football program and a university with a whole lot to offer. We're good enough for Peppers, why are we not good enough for Hand?

That same guy also disparages our team, conference, and school, and in the most laughably ironic comment of the year, implies that we landed Hand because we're doling out more money. Also the trustees of our school are pouring money because of OSUs recent success spurring us. I think I'd rather tell that guy to go fuck himself with a traffic cone than listen to his bullshit inside information.

But I like his inside info. Really he just sounds bitter about it in the rest of his post, which makes it seem that much more real. I just can't get offended over that stuff he says like you - he's from Alabama, which automatically makes his life pretty terrible. Although it is funny how this guy understands every recruiting battle as coming down to impermissible benefits. It almost like SEC fans would be upset if their teams weren't committing violations.

If he does pick Michigan I have to think it would help with McDowell. If they both come here combined with Lawrence and Mone that is a nasty, SEC-level d-line second to none. Might take a year to get it there but it will get there and take this defense to the next level. Let's see what happens half a day from now.
