Van Jefferson twitter background now features Detroit

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

Before it was an Ole Miss football banner. Now his twitter banner is of the RenCen.

He also has removed any and all Ole Miss references from his bio.

Young Child: Daddy, what's that?

Dad: It's a fax machine son.

Young Child: What's a.....fax machine?

Dad: Back in the old days you couldn't send messages with your phone or computer. You had to send them using machines made only for that purpose.

Young Child: Why is it it here?

Dad: Because the NCAA still doesn't know that it's the 21st century.

Jefferson was really good friends with Drew Richmond who just decommited from Ole Miss and will likely end up at Tennessee. Jefferson also removed "Ole Miss Commit" from his Twitte profile. Detroit in his header? All Blue.

and at last check, the University of Michigan is still in Ann Arbor........

This has been discussed in other threads........but hanging on / trying to gleen the meaing of  every Tweet, Twitter Profile change, like or favorite is bordering on insanity.......could it mean something, sure, maybe it doesnt mean anything at all, maybe he is just proud to be from Detroit..  Luckily for all of us, NSD is tomorrow so we will find out soon enough......

Then we can all take a collective breath, rinse / repeat and start hanging on every word for the prospect in the 2016 cycle.

True Story - chrysler is big on having lots of "Easter Eggs" or hidden things in their vehicles. If you look at a new Jeep you'll see the OllllllO logo everywhere, often unpublicized. The latest Chrysler 200 has an outline of the city of Detroit on  the rubber mat in the center console - but the Ren Cen is missing.

This is my way overthinking because people do it here and I'm just trying to mock it. Maybe Michigan didn't take Burnett because Jefferson said he'd come if Michigan also took Perry as a WR. Michigan says ok and offers Perry and tells Burnett his offer is gone because the position is full...We just got two WRs before you could say you were coming since you were on a flight home. Is this way out there?! YES. But I've seen worse on this blog so I'm trying match it.

Quick someone create a thread, I have it on good authority iman Marshall was spotted in a generic blue hoodie! With the overall health of the board in mind, I can't wait until tomorrow night. Stress is a killer! Whoever comes awesome and whoever does not oh well.

On MGoBlog, you're looking at a cross-section of the more highly engaged, fanatical end of the fanbase in most respects, so "health" is a very relative term here. I would wager a guess that most of us - if not all of us - look like we obsess about Michigan to an unhealthy degree to more casual fans. In other words, this is more or less normal MGoBehavior here, for what it is worth.

I've been reading the blog for around 5 years, so I have no doubts about the fanaticism of fellow mgobloggers. I also respect how knowledgable the posters are and the great environment here. I'm just saying I don't know what we can ascertain reading into every little thing these 17-18 year old kids do. It's like your girlfriend thinking someting is wrong because you didn't use enough !!!! In your text. Just trying to help people relax haha

And his tweet seems nicely timed to decline Ole Miss: "A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them."

But he changed his Twitter bio and banner at least by the day he was leaving for U-M. I actually live in the same city as him and saw he was visiting, so I journeyed over to his page and never saw an Ole' Miss reference or banner.... and that's the day he was flying into Detroit before even visiting Ann Arbor.

But I still hope that's a good sign.
